"Good at time management, he says," Billy snorted, a chuckle escaping him as he lowered the cigarette from his lips for another drag.
"I don't think passing off your workload onto others qualifies as time management," he muttered quietly, smoke escaping with his words.
Mr. Crawford, although he acted nice and spoke to him nicely, was only focused on document revisions and the areas demanding signatures, while Billy was left completing the rest of the work.
"I wondered why a high paying position like this was so vacant," Billy nodded, a self-aware smile tugging at his lips. "Well, on the bright side, I guess that makes it easier on my conscience.."
Billy's expression turned serious as his mind flickered back to the recent conversation he'd had with Sherman Gilbert.
"You're going to be stepping into Jimmy Crawford's territory, kid." Sherman Gilbert had informed Billy, prompting a raised eyebrow from the young man, asking for more information.
