I had to distract Crescendo while Lala and Zenith makes their call. I've been wondering something and so I asked directly to the owner himself whether he would provide me with an answer or not.
"Hey, Crescendo..."
He corrected himself, "That's Lord Crescendo, Cyclone White."
"Yeah whatever. What is your ability anyway? Is it just levitation magic?"
He laughed and explain, "You are right but wrong at the same time. It is not simply just 'levitation'. Do you know about...destiny, White?"
"I guess I know a thing or two about it."
He continued, "Have you noticed how all of the ten of you were separated in such an interesting way? With how certain things happen, you guys had to split up. That was all because of fate and destiny."
"What? I don't get it." I was confused.
"All of you were fated to encounter with something. I'm sure you've come to realize one of those fate is not just a mere coincidence."
Lala then steps in, "So you were the one who called in all of the Lost Souls here?"
"It was the Lost Souls, huh? I honestly don't know what I might end up sending to the campus given how fate could work. I was not directly involved with whatever incident you were in that separates you but, I was indeed involved in the mechanics of how destiny and fate work. You all were fated to encounter whatever you came across a few hours ago, not me. But now, we are fated to cross against each other. It's like gravity you see. If you believe in gravity, you too believe in fate and destiny." Lord Crescendo was speaking in cryptic words.
Zenith then quietly whispered to us, "Their securing the parameters, guys. We're good to go."
"Good." said Lala as she then looks at me and reminded me, "Maybe we should start remembering one of our lessons in class, White."
Yeah, Lala did told me a few moments ago about fighting without really fighting. I tried remembering back what she could mean it could only be one thing. Fusion Reaction. A Fusion Reaction is when you combine your magic with another magic from your ally. But its not simply combining just like that, both party needs to be in complete unison and in full chemistry. They have to know each other from the ins and outs.
"A Fusion Reaction, huh...Alright then, Lala. Let's do this." I told her so.
"What are you talking about. I'm not that close with you yet. I'm not talking about doing the fusion with me."
"What is going on...?" Lord Crescendo was observing.
Lala then chuckled, "If you two are really going to do this. I'll give you some privacy, Zenith, White." Lala then suddenly used her Grand Gaea ability to terraform the ground beneath Lord Crescendo.
Lord Crescendo was slowly buried by the trees that followed from the terraform Lala made.
He screams, "Impossible! How can this be? No one can touch me!"
Even Lala was surprised, "Huh, I guess some of Aker's borrowed power was still left in me...works for me, I guess."
Lord Crescendo emerges from the ground, "No! This cannot be! I am untouchable! Destiny...Fate...Gravity...it's all supposed to be mine! These are not yours, Cyclone White!"
Then suddenly I talked to Zenith, "Hey Zenith..."
"...yes, White?"
"There's something I should have tell you when you forgotten everything..." I extended my left hand to her.
She joined my hand with her right hand and replied, "I think I'm starting to figure it out already, White. You don't have to spell it out to me..." she shyly said that.
"Well...I figured I have to say it..." I started to get nervous.
"Are you ignoring me?!" Lord Crescendo was furious, "I said these are not yours, Cyclone White!!"
Both of our magic started to focus into our joined hands. Zenith grabbed my other hand all of sudden, synchronizing us even more. Wild winds started to pick up and the rain turned into hail all of a sudden. It looks like Zenith can now use ice magic as well after turning into that dragon. It's not snow like back then, it's ice.
"Crescendo..." I told him. "What you're saying is right. All of what you said isn't mine. Through all the fires and flames, I realize it already. Because it's not only for me. This is no longer mine only...but...This is our story!"
Together, we proclaimed, "Fusion Reaction! Winter Rainstorm!
A few moments later, the rain has stopped and the clouds have gone away. We didn't see where Lord Crescendo was. We assumed that he was blown away by the rainstorm Zenith and I made. I guess we can also assume that the fight was over as we continue to hear the uplifting music that was coming from the campus.
"Guys." Lala approached us, "The campus is safe. The girls did it."
"What about Princess Sonata and Prince Medley?" I asked her.
She replied, "Both of them are safe with the girls. They did a good job."
I'm glad everything worked out the way it should. Without Lala being in charge, I don't think the campus would be safe even before the kerfuffle with Crescendo. Lala totally deserved The Cardinal title. Speaking of title...After this whole thing was over, Nis, Emerald, Helena, Raven, Lilith, Lailah and Diane. All of them were given a title specifically for protecting not one but two Royal Family from total annihilation. They were now known as The Seven Iron Maidens. But why did Zenith, Lala and I were left out? It's only because we weren't involved with the droid extermination. But we didn't really mind that much considering the new information the three of us got from Crescendo.
But then all of a sudden...the unexpected happened,
"White!!!" Lord Crescendo emerges from behind me and Zenith.
Considering how tired we were, we couldn't totally react to whatever Crescendo was trying to do. He was about to stab in a bunch of glasses that were shattered from the tower's window into our bodies. But as luck would have it...a golden aura suddenly prevented Lord Crescendo from moving.
"What?!"
Lala was responsible for it. Her eyes was still glowing in gold. But the glow seems to be fading. She's losing her dragon power but she was still as fierce as a dragon.
"Those two are my classmates and they are my responsibility."
"Responsibility...what do you know about responsibility, Lala Magnetite?" Crescendo tried to sound cheeky.
Lala then shouted, "Responsibility?! I'm their god damned Cardinal!"
Her golden aura then grew larger and brighter. Lala used her Grand Gaea ability to trap Crescendo into the ground. She walked toward the half stuck Crescendo.
Lala crunched her fist, "Don't mess with my classmates."
She directly punched the top of Crescendo's head. The strike immediately sends Crescendo deep into the earth into god knows where. Later on, Lala told us that she sent Crescendo to the other side of the planet. She was probably exaggerating that. Finishing that off, Lala filled up the hole she made with her abilities.
"Well then, I'll be heading back first. Have fun you two!" Lala casually signs off
"Have fun? What is she talking about...That was insane..." I laughed.
Then I realized that Zenith's right hand was still holding my left hand. I thought we already let go of each other after that battle but it looks like we'll be stuck together longer than that. This time, I was the one who got nervous and became red when I looked into her eyes. I quickly turned away from her.
But then suddenly, her left hand grabbed and pulled my head and she immediately went to the cheeks. It was quick. But it was also sweet.
She giggled, "How's that? Did it felt good?" Her childish giggle continues to rustle my heart.
I feel like this was no longer all about me and my personal adventures. It is more of a series of adventure that me and the friends around me have. This was no longer a thing on my own especially when Zenith was now with me. There was now another thing that I must keep in check. It's not my life anymore...I have to keep an eye on her. Why? Because she's my zenith.
