"Raven, come on. Lala asked you to come with me." I told her as I was gasping for breath.
"What about Helena?" she asked.
I quickly replied, "It's alright. We got other matters to attend to. Lala already split us up accordingly. Let's go."
So the situation at hand was that a few minutes ago, Nis and I came across a wandering Princess Sonata. We didn't know who she was at first but she immediately used her authority to order Nis to take her somewhere. I didn't follow them because I'm just being me. But then all of a sudden Zenith and Helena found me and told me a number of problems that was happening. So apparently, The Princess has gone missing and I just left them just like that. After consoling with Lala, she asked me to go and get Princess Sonata together with Raven.
"Hold on, Emerald!" Raven suddenly stops.
"What's going on? We don't have time for this. The Princess could be anywhere by now."
Raven told me, "That's exactly it, Emerald. Nis and The Princess could be anywhere. We can't just simply run around the entire campus looking for two girl."
"Then what do you suggest?"
"I'll see what my ravens could do." suggested Raven.
I crossed my arms and sighed, "Fine."
Raven reaches out her left arm and in a few seconds later, one her many ravens came down and perched on her arm.
"Won't that hurt you?" I try to be concerning.
"Don't worry." She then showed me her arm that was apparently protected, "I have this brace on me."
"I see."
Raven then begins to contently looked at her raven and pet her while doing so. I figured that was probably her way of communicating with her birds. After that was over she released her raven to the sky to begin the search.
"Now all we need to do is wait." claimed Raven.
Then I expressed, "This is a waste of time..."
"Don't be too skeptical, Emerald. Believe in the ravens. They are trustworthy enough to help us in our time of need." she begins to console me for some reason.
"I don't want to hear you lecture about birds, right now." I sat down on one of the bench we came across.
"Well that's too bad..." She joined me on the bench as well. "I thought it would be promising getting to know you."
"Trust me. I'm not really that kind of person. Unlike you." I rolled my eyes.
"You really do feel a lot like you're still stuck in your teen spirit age, huh?"
I was a bit offended, "What makes you think so?"
She then said, "You smell like one."
I responded in full surprise, "Smell? Isn't that a bit creepy?"
She then clarified, "No. I didn't smell you. My raven told me that. Why would I smell you?"
"Oh...whatever."
I feel like I deserve that criticism despite everything I said. I really feel like I'm being too harsh on everyone that tries to be my friend. Even with someone as friendly as Nis somehow made me turn into a prick. I don't really know how I ended up accepting Helena but I guess I got used to her over time and that's what happened. Maybe I should try opening up a bit just like what Nis told me. Or maybe I should just keep it to myself. But I also think that's not a good idea. It sounded like I'm being immature over that kind of matter. I really should start growing up. How will I do that? That's going to be a journey for sure.
"Hey, look. My raven is back."
Her raven begins cawing from the sky.
"Come on, let's follow him." Raven then stood up and followed her raven.
I followed suit as well.
"I figured it would take longer than that." I told Raven as we were following the raven.
"I told you already, you have to believe in them."
I agreed to her, "Maybe you're right on that. Let's see how this goes."
Raven then sounded happy, "I'm glad you see the light of that matter. "
Raven seemed to be very pleased over the fact that I kinda praised her raven. I feel like I'm slowly getting to know Raven for a bit. She's not really the type to be talking about a lot of things. But whenever it was something of her interest, she would definitely go full on assault mode if she's allowed to. In a way, she remind me a lot of Helena in terms of how much they would talk. I guess I'm just being cautious over picking a friend. That's why I kept it all to myself most of the time. But now I feel like there's no harm to lighten up just a bit.
"It's going to that building." Raven told me.
Her raven flew up to the rooftop of the classroom building.
"The rooftop?" I wondered.
"Isn't that something? Why would The Princess be at the rooftop anyway?"
I shrugged, "Beats me."
No one could honestly guess why The Princess of the nonexistent Symphonile Royal Family would be at the rooftop of an academy building. Perhaps she was meeting someone or she has some kind of important things that needs to be done. She kinda scolded us when she ask us for directions. I could tell she's in a hurry. I better not think too much and just see how it will go...
