As I resolved myself I fired my guns at him in different directions.
Pshuu, pshuu, pshuu.
And after careful deliberation I stopped moving and steadily lessened my breathing.
Now that I stopped moving it didn't head in my direction instead it turned to BK and the teacher.
'So after many careless trial and error I can confidently say it is blind.'
With a growl it directly went to them. But I didn't let him do that and stopped him from his track as I continued to attack again.
'But this really helps, now that I know its weakness we just need to take advantage of it.'
I might not have noticed it earlier but I think that maybe all dungeon crawlers fight blind. And their only source of vision are their other senses.
And one specific sense would be mana sense. Not a technique but a natural ability of their kind.
What prove my point even more is that it can dodge my attacks as if it knows we're it's going. And where ever BK and the others go it would find them, but not me.
So to beat it I need to sneak up on it and deal a huge blow.
Grrooawwaaoorrr!
"Let's start."
The first thing I did was prepare decoys and to do that I pulled out mana cores. With these I can distract him and catch him off guard while I deal a finishing blow.
I continued to aim my gun to the dungeon crawler and along the way threw the mana cores to different directions.
And before the dungeon crawler could realize due to my bombardments of attack, mana cores were already surrounding it.
It was late to notice that it was surrounded by mana targets, which confused it.
Grrr, Growl!
And with no choice it attacks one of the mana cores and sensing its not his target he aimed for the other mana cores.
"Now then let's finish it off."
Changing my cloak to cover my whole body and then following that I charged at it with a sword.
Different from my chainsaw sword it is blade that I made when I was still back at the Saga Empire. And after a few years, which is quite recent, I made improvements just for fun.
'I never thought I would be using this now. Even though I just made it as practice.'
It is purely made from Titan's shell when I was still a kid. So this is very useful for assassination. So as I charged it with mana it became harder and sharper.
And with the help of new ores that were recently recycled by Titan it is now stronger than before.
Next was then to enhance my body and with everything ready I blasted off and aimed my sword to the dungeon crawler.
I then flew passed by it and slashed through it's neck.
Sowish.
GrraaaaaAAhHhH!
The dungeon crawler roared from pain but in my mind it was a failure. It's neck is so thick and somehow it noticed me approaching it before I could aim properly.
"You might have dodged that one but that doesn't mean I can't do another."
With a resolute mind I blasted again bouncing left and right hitting its vital spots.
But then again it is still able to avoid most of it. It might be because of its evolution its senses were increased to a high degree. This might also include its own physique.
But still my attacks gradually increased all the wounds around it's body. And it suddenly lost strength slowing down it's ability to avoid.
Now just a little more and it's dead.
As I thought of that it suddenly stop moving and seeing this chance I charged at it again.
But that was a mistake because it suddenly turned it's head towards me as it opened its mouth wide.
Grraaarr
'Oh no, I can't stop mid-air.'
Without any plan in mind due to the sudden situation I forced my cloak in defense mode, while my sword slashed at its mouth making it stuck.
'Sh*t if only it's my chainsaw sword then it would easily slice through.'
Now facing this problem I tried to deliberate my next move. But then it was hit by a strong attack releasing me out of its mouth.
Graaa!
"Are you okay?"
Looking at the person who helped, which turned out to be the teacher.
"Yeah I'm okay."
I answered back to him with a voice different from bolt and my normal voice. Good thing I installed a voice changer in the mask of this cloak.
"Good, can I know who you are? I don't think you are our opponent since you help us but I need some reassurance."
"Isn't what I did good enough already?"
"I saved you just now so tell me."
Even with his insistent coercion I stayed quiet. And instead I said what I found out about the monster.
"That thing can't see."
"Huh?"
"What do you mean?"
"Like I said it's blind it's only vision is its ability to sense mana."
"How are you so sure?"
"My equipment can render searching me with mana impossible. Watch."
I moved to where it was and stood still. And before you know it, it had recovered and started to attack them instead of me.
"What's going on?"
Realizing the situation he attacked the monster. And said the following words to me.
"Okay okay you're right. Now please help us."
"Sure thing. And with that as the signal I gave my assist and put the monster on the defensive."
"So how do you plan on killing that thing?"
Having recovered, the teacher asked me about what I had in mind.
"Even before its evolution, that thing had hard skin and now it got even harder. So my plan involved getting close to it and dealing a finishing blow."
"Can't you do what you did earlier?"
"Easier said than done. That thing detects mana and my heavy blow contains a huge amount that can't be contained by my equipment. So before I could even deal a blow on it I would be dead."
"So you want us to keep distracting to avoid getting caught?"
"Exactly."
"Okay, I could do that."
"Good, let's do this. Once I give the signal, get out of the way."
"Okay, But before that can I also have that equipment of yours?"
"No, you can't."
I then left with those words as my reply.
"Hmph, what a rude guy. Anyway leave this place Richard I got business to do."
"Let me help."
"Sorry but I can't let you kids be in danger more than you already are."
As I got closer again to the dungeon crawler the two behind me seemed to be talking about something but since I needed to focus on the dungeon crawler I had no time to mind other people's business, not like I wanted to.
Sensing my arrival it attacked me and so did I as an exchange. I kept on moving and blasting it with the attacks of my own till it gradually lost it's patience.
And with that as an opening the teacher came forth driving it's attention to him and making it possible for me to get in position for my attack.
The dungeon crawler was entirely focused on the teacher as the two exchanged blows.
Giving me an opportunity to charge up my gun for a bigger blow.
Little by little the power gathered was slowly getting out of the cloak. So with a thought I changed it to cover the gun.
But as expected it is too much for the teacher by himself ever since the damage he took from the assailants.
"Teacher!"
He was then blown away. Leaving Richard and me stunned.
'Oh no, I'm not done charging it yet.'
As I was having trouble with what to do, someone came forth and attacked the dungeon crawler.
And unsurprisingly it was BK.
"HAH! With a shout he attacked with full force. Only to be blown away again.
"Gah."
Damn I guess I have to change into my armor huh. I know this is a bad thing to think about but I just hope BK and everyone here are all knocked out so they wouldn't see this.
But as I was hoping for the worst to the side I'm with, something changed within BK transforming his power into something worthy of his title.
"AAÀAAAHHHH!"
There BK stood up with tattoos clearly more refined than his previous ones. And what's more his aura is so strong that it made the dungeon crawler vigilant towards him.
GrraaaaarrrrrRRR!
But still this a good thing I guess. Since this is going to help me finish my charge up.
With that in mind I continued to focus on my tasks hoping for BK to hold on for a little longer.
And he didn't disappoint me. The exchange of the two started with BK jumping at the dungeon crawler for an attack.
Surprisingly the two were equal in strength as they both were in a standstill with each other.
But I know this won't last long for BK's state is temporary. So aiming at the right opportunity I aimed my gun at the right time BK was thrown out.
Thinking that it might be BK's limit I fired my rail gun.
