"To think you would be able to harm me again."
The humanoid monster said those words to me after I hit him hard.
And with a motion of his hands, a huge wave of ice was blasted towards us.
"Not so fast."
Bash.
As we were about to be hit, the woman named Teria stopped the attack by using her own.
The two attacks collided and extinguished each other.
"Teria, you really are a thorn in my side. If it weren't for you and your sister's bloodline ability, then I would have experienced a fate worse than death."
After telling his thoughts to Teria, he continued to bombard us with more attacks. And it ranges from long to short.
Even though we were able to do a bit of damage to him, he continued to heal. But there is something bothering me, and that is the attack I made.
Sure, it's healed, but there seem to be scars left.
As things went on, he made a wide-area attack with him at the epicenter.
Whoosh.
We were caught off guard, and out of nowhere, he reached out for Talia.
"No!" Using her powers beyond their limits, Taria slowed down the monster leader's movement. It worked, but he then stopped time by arriving near her in a grabbing motion.
And we all see it thanks to Litia's bloodline ability.
As he was about to get closer, I threw my trusted companion "Titan", and thanks to Litia's bloodline ability, we can move in motion with the time, albeit slowly.
As the attack hit him, he was blown away by the impact of Titan and Litia's attack.
"Gaha"
"Ahh."
But in the end, Litia was still injured, so stopping the movement of the monster leader was not possible.
"Good, the restrictions are gone now to finish you all. Ugh."
As he was about to attack us again, his movements stopped.
And we took a closer look, and he didn't heal. Meaning something is stopping his healing trait from happening.
And I look at Titan, who seems to have woken up from the previous boomerang defense.
So does that mean attacking him with mana countermeasures can beat him?
Knowing this, I thought that maybe that's what I should do next to defeat him.
So taking out chainsaw swords, I will be beating the monster leader with these guys.
Vroom vroom.
"Cover me!" I shouted as I moved at top speed.
Showoosh.
"Not so fast." The monster leader then blasted ice in my direction.
Woosh

"Not on my watch." The guild master said this as he blocked the attack coming straight at me.
"Why, you–!" He then turned his attention to the monster leader.
And taking it as a chance, I moved close to attack him.
Splush.
"Graaahhhrrrr."
"Would you look at the fact that he isn't healing at all?"
That surprised me as well because he was able to heal his arms. Until I saw a wisp of mana running out of him with every attack I made,
"You mean his body is entirely made out of mana?"
"Mostly, I guess, but this is a chance, right?"
"You're right; let's do this."
"Oh yeah. How was the little girl?"
"He is taking care of her. So don't worry; we'll take him down ourselves."
I turned and saw the principal healing Litia. There she was healing and, at the same time, holding the area, preventing the monster leader from using his bloodline ability.
"Let's go." The guild master then nudges me to continue.
"Okay." With my affirmation, we continued to attack him.
We had the upper hand as we slowly weakened the monster leader.
The damage kept on accumulating as we attacked with all we had.
"You insects!" He then yelled as he forcefully blasted ice at his surroundings, but we were already familiar with his pattern.
So we avoided him and were about to attack when we saw him covered in shards of ice.
Seeing our shocked expression, he did not miss it and attacked us hard.
With nothing else to do, we defend ourselves from the incoming attack, which blasts us away.
"Raaaaooooaarrrrrr!"
He yelled loudly, which made us stagger. And following was an attack that we should have expected but were not able to do anything about.
….Showosh...
The world was then silent.
"Again, they made me use it. I haven't recovered from the backlash earlier, but this is unavoidable."
He turned around and looked for his target.
"Although you can control your territory like the back of your hand, you're still a child, so you can't access higher realms of time and space."
Cling Klang shing
A pointed, sharp shard was then made from his arm.
"Kuh. I can't walk even though my arms are just made of mana after being cut off."
He turned and looked at Dustin.
"Oh, how much I want to kill this annoying armored bastard right now. Thanks to him, I only have half of my mana left and am forced to use this ability again."
Shaking his head, he said, "Oh well, I will slowly torture him after taking the restrictions off of me."
Saying so, he extended his arm and stabbed his target.
Splush. Litia was then stabbed by the ice shard. And following it was the freezing of her body.
"Good, now that the nuisance is gone, I can finish this once and for all."
Shoowosh.
"Oh, it's done."
We came back to our senses, and what we saw was unexpected.
Litia was stabbed, and her body was frozen.
"I was going to deal with you all at the same time, but I can't after wasting too much mana. But now that the restrictions are off, it's time for a massacre."
He said this as he raised both of his arms.
Cling clang bakin shling.
"What? Why is it still slow?"
Just like him, we were also confused by his strange demeanor after his loud speech.
Splash.
"Uwaah. Why, why, sis!?"
Then we heard the sound of water blasting. And with it comes the sound of Litia crying.
There we saw that the one being stabbed was not Litia but her sister, Teria.
"How?"
"They exchange places after the loud roar from earlier."
The principal showed himself to us.
"What do you mean?" The guild master asked.
"Remember the illusion used against us before?"
"Don't tell me they used that here."
"Yes. They combined their bloodline abilities and switched places. It would have been better to create a false image, but they weren't as masterful as that guy. So to camouflage the life energy, they switched places, which the little girl wasn't able to prevent from happening due to how her sister did the exchange."
"Amazing."
"How dare you! You kept on ruining my plans—this guy, your family, and you, ungrateful. Graaahhh!"
Throwing a fit, he yelled at the top of his lungs as he grew, all his ice shards covering him.
"Die!" He then made a rain of ice blades around us.
He's out of his mind; his Mana is now erratic and out of his control.
"But he should still be suppressed, right?"
"Yes, but because he is growing his body's range and is spewing it in an unknown direction, the suppression can't continue to follow."
"What should we do then?"
"Either he dies with us or we kill him in one blow."
"Can't we just look for his source and attack there?"
"I would if I had a spare energy quantifier. I broke mine during the fight earlier, when he first used his bloodline ability."
"What to do now?"
Energy quantifier? I had one installed in my helmet. I could do this.
Hearing their conversation, I spoke up to help them.
"I can help."
"Do you have an energy quantifier?"
"Good, let me borrow it."
Having hoped, they asked me to borrow my energy quantifier. But I answered awkwardly.
"I can't."
"Huh?"
"Why?"
"It's in my helmet, and because it's a set, it's connected to my armor."
"Eh?"
"Take off your armor, then!"
"I can't and I won't. Please understand that we don't have time for it.
He's right."
"What should we do then?"
"Hmm." Thinking slowly, the principal then made a suggestion. "Can you still use the attack that took off his arms?"
Hearing that I answered honestly.
"Yes, but it won't be as fast as before."
"How fast can you go, then?"
"I say twenty percent slower than before."
"That's good enough; we will create an opening so we can attack during that moment."
"Okay."
"Good. Everyone gather near little Litia; you all will be safe there."
As we made an agreement on what to do next, the principal gave the command to everyone to gather near Talia as a way to protect everyone.
"You two, get ready when I give my signal. I will protect everyone as I assist you in giving the finishing blow."
""Okay.""
With that, me and the guild master ran in the direction of the now huge leader monster.
