Hannah woke up the next day and saw an envelope slid from under her door.She opened it and after reading the content,immediately shredded the papers into pieces.It were divorce papers.Gael had completely ignored her and sent her an envelope with divorce papers not even giving her a chance to
explain.
One of the letters was from Gaels lawyer.She said that if she signed the papers and ended the divorce process willingly,then they wouldn't force to present herself in court.lf not,they would take action according to the legal procedures.
Even though Hannah knew nothing about law,she was aware that with her situation,if the thing was taken to court she would definitely lose since she was in the wrong.But she refused
backing out so easily. Gael you actually want to shoo me so easily?Even if I lose everything I won't back down ever!
Suddenly she heard somebody knocking on her door.
Who was it?Was it Gael?Did he finally decide to give her a chance to explain?No,Gael wouldn't knock.This is his house after all.Who could it be?
She tremblingly checked the monitor and her face got as white as a sheet.
No way!No!Not them!She would never open the door even if she would die by not opening
so,though there was a chance those people would kill her if she opened it.
Suddenly the knocks stopped.After a minute the door opened from the outside.Hannahs knees
went weak.She barely found the strength to run behind and scream.
The person who opened the door was a huge wellbuilt man with a suit.Behind him was a wellkept,refined and elegant woman.She didn't seem any older than 40.Her golden eyes resembled Gaels eyes,but they were much more sharp and penetrated through everything.
It was none other than Gaels mother.Yes.This woman that didn't seem a day older than 40 was
actually Gaels mother,a lady in her early sixties. She had come here to collect the debt for her youngest child.She had told Gael that this woman wasn't worth it,but that naive son of hers thought she was against Hannah,because of her prejudices,Hannahs lowly background and status.This lady never cared for anything as long as her children were happy.Gael could even marry a random woman on the street if he wanted,but at least that woman should genuinely care for him,love him and be capable enough to stay by his side.She had seen through this woman named Hannah.
Since the first meeting and she tried to reason with Gael,but that child had always had his fathers temper.Once he made up his mind there was no turning back.He fought with older siblings and his father to the point when the latter from anger said "If go and marry her,you will be kicked out of the Laruier family and be removed your rights of inheritance!"
Gael had unhesitatingly said "Do it!I will marry the woman I love!"
This woman dared to hurt her son!This woman dared to make him seem like a fool in the eyes of the whole world.She should pay 10 times the price.She and that man.
Gaels family had been trying to track down the blurred man in the pics,but seeming that even with their connections that man was hard to find.He wasn't someone simple.But that didn't mean that they,the Laurier,were simple.The centuries of influence and prestige weren't just for decorations.How much longer could that man hide?
"Why are trying to run away?"(A/N There urge to write "Why are you running?*Why* are you running?" was barely surpressed here.)
Hannah stuttered."You-You want to kill me,right?Thi-this is a crime!You're trespassing private property!I'll call security!They'll drag you and-"
"Cheating on my son and still staying in the apartments under his name,that he bought with his own hard earned money and you still have the audacity to say I'm trespassing?Are you sure that the one trespassing isn't you?" She started walking towards Hannah,with each step she took her heels clicking.Each click feeling like the ticking of a timer bomb to Hannah.
"Don't get any closer!"
Gaels mothers eyebrows raised.
"Don't worry,I won't hurt you!You're not worth enough for me to dirty my hands!Now that Gael isn't there to protect you,I can finally crush you like the little bug you are."
"N-No!You c-can't!Gael still loves me!Your precious son will hate you if you do anything to me!"
A beautiful smile bloomed on Gaels mothers face."Really?" But her eyes were indescribably cold.Hannah felt a chill up her spine."Gael being so quiet....You think he will be like this forever?Leaving you alone?"then her whole expressionwent cold."I know my son Mrs.Williams.He always collects the debt when somebody does him wrong.This is only the calm before the storm.As for us Mrs.Williams....You will never be able to show your face again neither in the entertainment circle nor in public.No agency,company,brand, down to even the most irrelevant rural boutiques that the Laurier,or any of our partners own will ever employ you.And it won't stop there.Be it any kind of industry you won't be able to be a waitress,cleaner,anything…We'll make sure of that."
Hannah went completely pale.She wanted to refute,but her voice wouldn't come out.She knew that woman was telling the truth.They had that power.But she couldn't bow down easily,she gulped and barely found the strength to give out an empty threat.
"Th-This is a blatant threat!J-just because you're all born with money,d-doesn't mean you can do anything and ruin somebodys life like this!I-I'll sue you f-for this!There's law!"
Gaels mother looked at her ammusingly.Normaly people would beg and plead for forgiveness even if they only did it because of being discovered and to gain simpathy,but this person right here still thought she was on the right,even threatening to sue.It was a completely other form of pathetic she had never seen.
Gaels mother just looked at Hannah expressionlessly,as she kept going on and on about how cruel they,the powerful and rich people were.She would let Gael deal with her however he wanted,his family just needed to make sure that Hannah never had a moment of peace after being dealt with.
She hadn't raised pushovers.They had a family motto,if something does you wrong make sure they pay the price as much so they never dare do you wrong again.
She then left the apartment while the bodyguard followed her.
