Synopsis
A scar has been carved through the Earth, a jagged canyon extends from the distance. At its end, it's deepest section, waves of heat distort view betone recognition. The crater bleeds molten rock down it's sides, still hot from this landmark's creation. The shadowy visage of a humanoid figure becomes recognisable as it comes further from the pit of magma that is the deepest part of the site. It stumbles, and light shining on its front reveals what looks like a human. Blood streaks down from its closed eyes, drawing lines in the layer of soot coating it. The soot covers it's body, but the light pink of it's exposed muscle couldn't be fully hidden. The skin covering it's heels and back was missing, having been worn onto the rock it parted. There would also be a bit spread through the atmosphere from the entry, but most of what is missing was taken upon impact. "Oh f*ck that hurt like a b*tch. Not my best landing." the creature groaned as it ran it's hands over the wounds. It then reached up and grabbed the dirtied skin of it's skull, and tore it apart like a seam. It ripped it down around his torso, having to push it along his arms like removing a too-tight sock. At the hands, it had to pull the finger tips away like a glove before peeling the skin off completely. The legs and feet were dealt with similarly. Stepping out of its own skin, muscle clear to the air with the exception of what the rock coated in soot, it says "Whelp, new world, new me!" in a tone much lighter than the situation would call for. Hello there. I'm a native English speaker/writer, so I like to think I know what I'm doing with this stuff but really though, I don't. So please correct any of my grammatical, cultural, or progressional (plot) errors in the chapter comments. I'm writing this for fun and to prove that if authors actually think for more than half a second when developing their stories, it can actually be good. I won't be updating very often unless this is met with an abnormally good reception, but yeah. Hope you enjoy!

The skin covering it's heels and back was missing, having been worne onto the rock it parted.

There would also be a bit spread through the atmosphere from the entry, but most of what is absent was taken upon impact.

Stepping out of its own skin, muscle clear to the air with the exception of what the earth coated in soot, it says "Whelp, new world, new me!" in a tone much lighter than the situation would call for.

"Hmm, black, white? Y'know what, I'm in a bit of a purple and orange mood at the moment." The creature states to the flaming area around it, holding it's hands in front of two charred, blackened eyes.

Then, it let's it's hands fall to it's side as it begins walking forward towards the top of the crater. As it takes the first step, deep purple skin grows in patches upon it's body, coming together and connecting like an accelerated time lapse of growing bacteria. It's skull however stays exposed. The lack of eyelids let's it violently shake it's head forward and back, until the destroyed eyes are forced from their sockets. The long nerve connecting they eye to the brain stays in tack for a moment, before the swinging breaks it with a snap. The pair of holes on the red and white head, with the backdrop of the raging inferno caused by its landing, looked outright demonic.

The purple skin quickly grew to cover the head, leaving the mouth, nose and eyes. As it walks along the crumbling incline of lava and flaming debris, an orange glint in the eye sockets slowly reaches the surface of the face. Two new, bright orange eyes settled into their respective spaces, as a small grin covered it's new, light purple lips.

Orange hair seeped from its scalp, coming together in an untamed mess. As it trudged onward, the air became cooler and cooler. A gentle breeze from the surface stroked his skin, and was probably the culprit of the abnormally fast temperature drop. Reaching down, it broke the solidified rock off its feet and ankles. It then does it's best to avoid liquid patches on its way up, to avoid the hassle of peeling solid rock off it's body.

It quickly reached a point where the temperature was comfortable, no live flame and no unavoidable lava.

"That's... very odd" it muttered as it continued on its path.

A few hours later and more than a few dozen degrees colder, this thing, this calamity, this purple oddity had breached the surface and stood at the mouth of an enormous ravine. It descended downwards at around a 25° slope for a few hundred meters, gradually leveling out to more of a 10° or so surface down deeper.

The incline was already mostly white, as the winds careening across the desolate, frozen landscape whipped up a blizzard. The naked thing stands in the midst, unperturbed by the elements.

The small grin on its face spread into a toothy crescent, as it exclaimed "Looks like I've a journey ahead of me!".

It resumed it's comfortable walk forward into the unknown, jovially humming a tune.

Hope you guys like the cover art, made I just now for this story! It's a chibi Cthulhu, I did a quick one in the normal green then chucked it through a neon-highlight filter. Also, I was thinking about "The Purple People Eater" by Sheb Wooley while writing this, so give that a listen if you've got time. The old one, not that kidsbop shit.
