Chapter 24 - 1st Interlude

The shining blue flower that symbolized hope for peace crumbled to nothingness in my hands. Does it mean that peace itself, no matter the form, won't last? It was quite an interesting question to think about in the shower. Well, in this case, it wasn't because peace won't last, deep down we already knew the answer to that question. It was because the lifeform, Pax Vobis, has mutated beyond our sense of time. The already short lifespan of their base model, Chen's Liferoot, was cut even shorter, around 15 minutes or so.
