Twenty five years ago, a meteorite hit the surface of earth. It caused mass extinction of each and every species on earth. From the space rock escaped the radiations and chemicals, which caused some of the living beings to mutate, and gave them uncanny abilities. And thus began the new age of humanity, the Mutant Age!

"(Mark) Tell me, son. And tell. Me the truth. You found the Summoners Scroll, right?"
"(Todo) Yes. I found it."
"(Mark) Yoh see. That's the reason you are here."
"(Todo) Care to explain?"
"(Mark) Luke, summoners scroll is not some normal magic. It is a cursed scroll that is destined to bring bad luck to the user. Yes, it chooses the person to place a curse on him. And it chose you. Which means that you ought to face problems. Of course you can do good things, and it will not stop you from doing so. But if you want to do good things, the scroll asks for sacrifices. And you cannot choose what to sacrifice. 'IT' chooses."
Todo didn't said anything. He went to the wall in front of his grandfather and sat. After a moment of awkward silence, Mark said -
"I am sorry, Luke...."
"Sorry? For what?"
"It happened all because of me."
"What happened because of you? Just say it already, everything you know."
"*Nods* I... Also owned a Scroll."
