Chapter 1 - Chapter one - The Student

I had just left a classroom after finishing a lesson and was heading to the teachers' room.

"Hi Felix!"

I heard a voice, it was my colleague Finn, at least he greets me I thought.

"Hi Finn"

"I'd really like to have a chat with you, but I have a lesson soon, so let's talk about it next time, ok?"

"Yes, sure, don't worry, see you later"

Soon after he went his own way.

The relationship I have with Finn I would not call "friendship" but as colleagues who get along well, from time to time we chatted in the teacher's room or went to eat together after finishing our shifts and at least he didn't look at me with disgust like all other teachers, the reasons why I don't like others are 2, 1) I'm younger than them and they envy me (I'm 27 and they're 40/50) 2) they avoid me because I have time and dyed my hair white and according to them "I don't look like a real man" that's bullshit.

Finn is that typical colleague that everyone likes and we approached because more or less peers (he's 31) and had no problems with my hair, he's a good person.

After walking a little longer, I finally made it to the teachers' room.

There was no one, what luck I thought, I sat in a chair and drank my freshly brewed hot coffee, after I finished my coffee I took my black bag and I pulled out the book I started last night (it's a thriller which is my favorite genre along with horror)

I was enjoying reading with the sound of rain playing in the background, what a perfect atmosphere I thought.

After a few minutes I heard the footsteps of a person running and second by second the footsteps became more and more audible and I realized that he was heading towards me.

I wasn't worried about that, so I continued my reading.

After about a minute I realized who was running, he was a my student.

He was running like a madman and had a desperate face.

When he arrived in the teachers' room he immediately closed the door and turned to me, he had an expression of pure fear.

"Professor Fawkes, please help me!"

I closed my book.

"What happened?"
