With all the group now sitting inside Ha-yoon's house, Soo-Min has just made them some tea and brought some cookies she found in the pantry, she hoped that after some sweet snacks, everyone would relax a bit and talk in A more civilized way.
However Soo-Min herself was starting to lose hope, and even get frustrated as no one was really in the mood to talk, not to mention she was starting to get irritated of watching her ex-husband holding hands with his bodyguard so casually in front of Jin and everyone else.
Although silent, almost Everyone was just glaring at each other, and Cyrus and Nikolai were sitting together in between, feeling like the outsiders to this glaring war.
On one side, Seong-min and Ha-yoon sat with Jin in their middle while the opposite side was occupied by Soo-Min, Ha-joon and Nam-gil who sat between his ex-wife and his current boyfriend.
Sighing heavily, Cyrus decided he'll speak first, "So let me get this straight, Ha-joon you're Ha-yoon's little brother, and btw we don't even need a DNA test to confirm that because just by looking at both of you, you two look related to each other...I mean you have similar names, you both dyed your hair blonde, you wear the same kind of fashion, you both have anger issues and you're both gay, so yeah siblings haha!" He said while chuckling, Hoping he'd break the ice a little.
"And you Mister Young Nam-gil, you're the infamous father of Jin and Seong-min that I've been hearing about a lot recently, honestly I would've preferred meeting you in a different situation but unfortunately good 'first-time meetings' don't happen often in this town.
The only thing that this town is successful at concerning human interactions, is setting fire to already super dramatic situations, like the drama I'm currently experiencing through all of you." He added earning a curious yet anxious look from Soo-Min.
Clapping his hands once, "To be honest I always thought that my family drama was crazy! even though I knew there was even crazier drama out there, it's just I didn't really experience a lot of drama outside my family, or school life which was mainly about bullies and my dead boyfriend.
So being exposed to another family's drama, it is both amusing and terrifying because technically here I am the outsider amongst you, but at the same time I just know too much to be considered an outsider, and I'M wondering... should I interfere or just sit back and enjoy the show?" Cyrus said with a curious smile.
Annoyed, "And who are you exactly?" Ha-joon spoke-up.
"I am you dear older sister's friend, ask her!" Cyrus replied, "Yeah he's my friend...Cyrus also used to be my roommate for a while, he's a troublemaker but usually he means well." Ha-yoon spoke-up.
"Cyruy was also in the same highschool as me and Nikolai." Jin spoke-up as well, "And he's currently my friend/enemy, who's been helping me adjust to life here." Seong-min added with a fake smile.
"Not to mention, he saved Seong-min's life...I think I already told you about it, Nam-Nam." Soo-Min said.
"Right." In his monotone voice and without even looking at Cyrus, "Thank you for everything you've done to help, Cyrus." Nam-gil said bowing his head slightly.
"No need to thank me, honestly I wasn't planning to save your daughter, it just happened by chance." Cyrus replied.
"Is that so...btw Cyrus, you said you know too much, what do you mean by that?" Nam-gil asked, "I'd like to believe I have an attractive energy about me, like I give a nice vibe because ever since I met your children, I've been told a lot of stuff without even asking, especially Seong-min, her and I are so close...she even got a crush on me, which btw I don't share her feelings back, I'm actually 7 years older than her and I'm interested in another girl around my age." Cyrus responded while smirking eerily at a horrified Seong-min.
"YA! I SAEKKIYA (You asshole!)" Seong-min shouted startling everyone, "How could you tell my dad about my crush on you! I said it's gone I don't like you anymore you Piece Of Shit!" She said making her mom snigger.
Cyrus bursted laughing at her, "AHAHAHA! SERVERS YOU RIGHT!"
"YA! YAAA! SHUT-UP!" Seong-min shouted loudly again, this time her father instantly covered his ears, "Cyrus don't embarrass my princess just so you get a chance to seem like a green flag for not dating her." Soo-Min said smiling.
"EOMMA! YOU TOO!" Seong-min screamed but When Ha-joon noticed that Nam-gil covered his ears, "Seong-min stop screaming please, your father hates it when people scream a lot!" Ha-joon spoke-up, however and for some reason Soo-Min scoffed at his words.
"Tch! Why don't you say that shit to his father, Nam-gil's dad keep screaming all the time, especially when I was still Nam-gil's wife! You were there yet you never told that asshole to stop screaming because Nam-gil doesn't like it." Soo-Min said.
Everyone was surprised by Soo-Min's words, she was playing peacemaker up until now, but it's seems like she was bothered all of the sudden by Ha-joon.
Nikolai who has been silently observing everything, was starting to show annoyance on his face, but he held it together for Jin's sake.
"Soo-Min, what's gotten into you?" Ha-joon asked.
"Hmmm? What's gotten into me? Look at you and this idiot!" Soo-Min said while pointing at Nam-gil, then she started talking to him, "Ya! Nam-gil-Ah! Just because you're my bestie doesn't mean I'll excuse you for everything you're doing!
Your son is here now! How dare you and your boyfriend hold hands in front of him, when you haven't even explained to him the lie you've been lying all these years!" She said.
Suddenly, "Are you talking about the fact that Jin's father didn't abandon Jin 7 years ago because he hated him for being gay." Nikolai spoke-up attracting all attention towards him.
"Don't call him my father! Mister Young doesn't deserve to be called my father.
and btw yeah! I knew beforehand that This man was dating his bodyguard because Seong-min told me when she came here, that's how she managed to escape Korea, she blackmailed you two." Jin replied while pointing at Nam-gil and Ha-joon.
With a sad expression, "Jin I'm really sorry you had to find out that way, but please understand.
I'm a bodyguard like you, so you must understand that our job is to protect our clients physically during work hours for money, but caring loving parents, they protect their children around the clock every single day, and they protect them physically, emotionally and mentally.
Which is what your father has been doing all these years! Nam-gil was protecting you when he abandoned you." Ha-joon said making Jin glare at him with wide surprised eyes, "Are you fucking with me right now?! Are you calling this man loving and caring? HAVE YOU GONE MAD!" Jin shouted.
Startled, "Jin, calm down!" Nikolai said.
In a fit of rage, Ha-joon let go of Nam-gil's hand and stood-up, "Yeah! your father Young Nam-gil loves you and Seong-min to death, unlike my shitty parents!
Nam-gil left you here to protect you from your grandfather...You see your grandpa is a huge homophobic and sexist asshole! He's so against Seong-min becoming the next CEO because she's a woman, and if he finds out you exist, he'll try to force you to go to Korea and become the next CEO!
And if your grandpa finds out you're gay, he'll do the impossible to turn you into a straight man just to become his heir." He said angrily.
Skeptical, "Is this true?" Nikolai asked.
Standing-up, "Jin...I'm sorry, I wanted to tell you myself but I didn't even know how to talk to you...I don't really know how to talk to anybody to be fair." Nam-gil said bowing apologetically.
Suddenly, Ha-joon grabbed Nam-gil hand again and held it while everyone watched, expect Nikolai since he couldn't see anything so Cyrus whispered in his ears about what just happened.
"Jin...I love your father honestly, but to be even more honest, I wouldn't have been so in love with him if he wasn't a good man.
There isn't a single day where he stopped thinking about you, and I will prove it!... please wait patiently for my return." Ha-joon said before he let go of Nam-gil's hand again, only to run towards the front door.
"Ha-joon-ah!" Nam-gil called in surprise after his Lover, but the young man had already left in a hurry.
...Few moments later...
Ha-joon hurriedly came back into the living room while carrying a dark bag.
Upon seeing it, Nam-gil freaked out "My children! Why did you bring out my children! Please don't touch them!" He said as he quickly ran towards the bag, snatching it away.
"What is he talking about?! What's in that bag?" Nikolai asked, "Ya! Ha-joon-ah! How cold hearted of you! You know Nam-Nam doesn't like people knowing about this." Soo-Min said scolding the bodyguard.
"I'm sorry but it's the only way that I know will help Jin understand!
Please Nam-gil, you have to show them what's in the bag!" Ha-joon begged, "What could possibly be in that bag?" Cyrus asked while glancing at Seong-min who seemed like she knew the content of the bag.
"Can everyone calm down please! If the man doesn't want to open the bag you can't force him Brother!" Ha-yoon said.
"Shut it sister you're not helping!" Ha-joon replied to her.
Scoffing, "You asshole!" Ha-yoon said glaring at him, "Let him be Noona, nothing will change my mind about This man." Jin said to Ha-yoon.
"Don't be so sure Oppa." Seong-min said before she walked towards her father who was clutching the bag to his chest while looking down nervously.
"Appa! (Dad)...please, let Jin see what's in the bag...tell him the truth, tell him who you really are, tell him what you've been through." She said gently, reaching with her hand to touch her father's shoulder.
"ANIYO! aniyo! I don't want to!" Nam-gil refused.
Taking a deep breath, "APPA! STOP BEING A COWARD!" Seong-min screamed startling her father.
"Princess you're scaring him! Stop!" Soo-Min scolded her daughter but Seong-min didn't back away.
"Appa please, You have to let him know that you love him!" Seong-min said, "Seong-min you're scaring everyone even me! Chill gurl!" Cyrus spoke-up.
"Cyrus is right! Besides like Jin said, there's no way his mind is going to change that easily, even if Mister Young truly Abandoned Jin to protect him from his grandfather, it doesn't change the fact that he chose pleasing a homophobic sexist man over his own son and even made Jin live a lie for 7 years!
My parents hurt me the same way, and only today have I realized that they actually were hurting me." Nikolai said.
Desperate, "Nam-gil-Ah please let them see the bag! I don't want to take it from you by force!" Ha-joon pleaded again.
"Shit...FUCK! What is this situation?!" Ha-yoon cursed.
"You know what?! I'm done with this bullshit!" Jin said and walked towards his father.
In an aggressive manner, jin grabbed the bag from his unwilling father who resisted his attempt.
"FUCKING LET IT GO!" Jin screamed startling his father into finally letting go of the bag.
"Hey! You could've hurt him?!" Ha-joon yelled at Jin but Jin ignored him then opened the bag.
When he glanced inside it, "What...the fuck ?!" Jin said pulling out two stuffed dolls that looked rather familiar.
The first one had long dark hair, brown eyes and wore a traditional Korean female hanbok dress, the doll had a name tag made of silver stitched to it, with the name 'Young Seong-min' engraved on it, while the second doll With short dark hair, brown eyes and wearing a male hanbok, Had the name 'Young Yu-Jin.' engraved on its silver name tag.
