Chereads / Becoming Dungeon Fodder / Chapter 33 - Aftermath

Chapter 33 - Aftermath

Kyle didn't know as he didn't look at himself but Alicia could see clearly.

A skeleton with dried and fresh blood painted bones, flesh matter all around the body, and some cracked bones here and there. Such a skeleton who looked like the embodiment of evil and could be a potential child's nightmare character now had two dirty inverted skulls hanging at the right side of his waist. These skulls had dried blood on them and petrified dirt with 2 red stones engraved in the eye socket. Their existence was to make the dirt stay inside and not fall from the holes.

Kyle didn't understand why Alicia found him a little ominous. There was no existence of mirror in the dungeon as he found no use for it.

"Let's look what's inside the big house. Abrel and the others have already fled inside my dungeon, I think."

They walked toward the hut that was already open. Upon getting inside, Kyle and Alicia found many skeleton heads hanging on a wall.

"They are like trophies of war, and they are all different,...hm, that's a goblin....a human....an orc?...and...what is that?" Kyle pointed at the head that was at the corner. Alicia looked at it and became confused.

From one look, Kyle thought that it was a creature that walked on four legs, the head was just very similar to those kinds of creatures. It was small from the head and became wide and narrowly ahead from the cheekbone.

The big room's one wall was covered with these bones, and on the right side, Kyle found many different types of things on a big table.

He went to it and picked one of the red stones.

"These things are valuable...and in bulk too," Kyle said while looking at the table. There were around 20 Dumatite in front of him and 6 blue-colored shards.

"Just how the fuck did he get these..."

Kyle scrolled through the shop and did not find many crafting materials. There were some that he had heard before but Kyle was starting to see that there were limitations to the shop. Most of the things inside were for the improvement of the dungeon.

"Thankfully, I have space in my inventory. Alicia, help me carry this table back."

All the things were inside the inventory now and there was no point in staying there. kyle helped her near the portal and stayed behind for the rewards.

'Hm...let me check first '

He quickly dashed back to the stairs and descended till the end. There was no one downstairs making Kyle believe that they were already back. He didn't go back from the 1st dungeon portal because he had a theory of his own.

The 1st-floor portal allows him to enter other dungeons when he uses the raid option and when he completes the dungeon, the portal on the first floor that goes back to his own, shifts to the boss floor for travel back. Now, if he were to go from the 1st floor, he will leave the dungeon to where it is located, and it possibly not be earth just like Abrel's dungeon.

He went back up and opened the notifications of the dungeon completion again.

[Congratulations for completing the dungeon]

[You have the option to either assimilate it with your dungeon and level it or convert it into 1100 Dungeon Points]

He clicked the level-up of the dungeon, getting dungeon points were easier for him.

[Dungeon level-up!]

[New changes available]

[10 slots for new slaves opened!]

[You have the option to make one of the floors to enlarge a little.]

RUMBLE! RUMBLE! RUMBLE!

Kyle couldn't think about the options as the dungeon started collapsing.

Kyle ran to the portal and which made him reach his dungeon in a second. The portal at his back closed.

What he looked at could be called a very very messy place. All the big corpses were dumped on the ground, Alicia was sitting in the corner giving the goblins a sharp look while they were telling their heroic tails to the other goblins that didn't participate.

"And then I slashed the gigantic orc boss's leg five times and it started bleeding loads!" Abrel roared and told everyone. He didn't know that Kyle had already come back. It was very out of character for Abrel to do this but Kyle just kept listening with a smile.

It was important for his slaves to have a proper mood, he needed efficiency from them.

CLAP CLAP

CLAP CLAP

Kyle clapped various times to get everyone's attention. Alicia came running, her speed increased once again. While the other goblins just went near enough and stopped to listen to what their leader had to say.

"You all know what we faced today, to tell in short, we bit more than we could chew. Today....we lost many of your brothers in this fight. Yet their sacrifice is not in vain....They will always be the reminder for us, of what will happen if we do what we did today." Kyle said and looked at everyone. The goblins were serious and Kyle could feel a tinge of pride in them meaning they were not really a lost cause when it came to caring about someone.

"If I am right, all that went with me leveled up..." looking at the goblins and Alicia, they gave a satisfied, excited, and happy nod in approval.

"We will not stop here, all of you will attack many dungeons from now on. You have the skills, if not, then you will gain the skills and experience. But...if you want to dilly-dally in my command, I am sorry but there is no place for you here." Kyle said the last part coldly making many shiver. This was the first time he gave such a speech and it came from giving them again and again.
