Chapter 16 - Expensive technique

Kyle with quick steps went in there, the shop had a cozy atmosphere, not that Kyle could sense it but he could feel it psychologically just by looking.

An old man was sitting on a chair while looking at him, he had a long white beard with small narrow eyes. There was no one in there so Kyle directly went to him with a perfect warm smile plastered on his face.

"Hi, Nice to meet you," Kyle said courteously, wanting to make a good relationship. The old man was just too bored and just nodded making Kyle awkwardly chuckle.

"I would like to have a basic sword technique."

The old man looked at him for a while before finally speaking.

"What type of sword?" An old voice came out which had a tinge of roughness.

"Uh...a normal sword"

The old man snorted and moved inside the door where Kyle believed all the techniques and equipment were placed.

After a few minutes, the old man came back with a few scrolls in his hand. After putting them on the desk, he pointed at them as if asking to look at them.

Kyle picked the first one from the right, its name was 'Basic Sword Movement', the description was just like the name, they were the basic movements that made the attacks look balanced and neat. Kyle already knew them, making him discard the first.

The old man kept looking at him as if wanting to say something but kept quiet waiting for Kyle to choose first.

The other 2-3 techniques were the same that teach the basics of using a sword, he needed techniques like he saw in the shop.

'Hm...this is better than the previous ones.'

The technique's name was 'Vital strikes', it had 5 forms that helped in attacking the vitals of the creatures he was fighting, the technique even had the basics of where vitals were for different types of creatures.

'This is great for the time being.'

"How much for this?"

"120 gold coins," The old man said with indifference, making Kyle frown, 120? He was 22 coins short for buying it.

"Do you also buy things in here?" Kyle said while scratching the back of his head while smiling. The old man sighed and just nodded again.

Kyle looked in his inventory to look for something to sell. He had some weapons he bought from the shop at a cheap price. He materialized one of them in his hand.

For the first time, the old man's eyes became wide in disbelief. getting a sword out of nowhere? Wasn't that from the spatial storage the strong people have?

There was a total flip in the attitude of the old man, a big smile on his wrinkled face. Kyle ignored it and gave the old man the sword for inspection.

"Oh! It's made from a mixture of low-grade mana-less metals. I can give 30 gold coins for it." He said with a smile. But inwardly cursed, the sword was actually worth 20 gold coins but after looking at the inventory stunt, he knew not to offend this person.

They made the exchange where Kyle took the technique and gave the money to the old man.

They bid farewell and Kyle left the shop in a good mood.

"Sigh, that brat even had a disguising artifact with him, it was good I did not do anything stupid." The old man was not a businessman for nothing, his proficiency in his business skills was very high due to working for many years.

He could not see what was behind the artifact but if he had seen it. The old man would have fainted on the spot.

Kyle had left the shop and was now in the center of the town.

'I have 21 hours left, and I am broke too. What to do?...what to do?' He started pondering about the future while looking at the map.

'Wait, Now that I am here, Maybe I should make a dungeon explorer's card from the guild. Money will not be a problem then.' Kyle ran towards the guild in hurry. He wasn't left with much time before the mask loses his ability for a while.

The guild was a little modern looking from the inside, Kyle saw many people with different types of armor and weapons sitting and laughing with food on the table.

he went to the line for talking to the receptionist. From afar, she looked like a busty blonde with an average height of five-six feet. With glasses on her face, she looked exotic in Kyle's eyes.

'I want to have sex! But...sigh...my dragon is not functional, just an ornament for the eyes.'

His turn came and he looked at her with a smile and did a little introduction.

"So, what can help you with?" The blondie was doing a great job of making Kyle look at her without any stop. She giggled making kyle come out of his daze.

"Haha...I would like to become a dungeon explorer."

"Fantastic! Keep your hand on this orb to start your process of becoming a dungeon explorer." She said while placing an orb on the desk. kyle knew about the orb, it showed the name and level of the person using it making him sigh in relief.

He quickly placed his hand on the orb making it shine.

"Oh, you are a mid-beginner evolver! Fill this form and you are good to go."

He did some formalities and got a badge stating his information and level. With the badge, he could enter beginner-evolved dungeons.

There was a notice board where different kinds of dungeon locations were given, Kyle looked at a goblin dungeon where even the information about the boss was given.

'I will go here, Alicia can take care of the dungeon for a while without me. Just from completing this dungeon, I will get around 500 gold coins.'
