Chapter 378 - Aokiji at the Pier

Sabaody Archipelago, Pier.

After spending some time with Rayleigh and Shakky, Giotto and Aria were ready to leave. They were well aware that staying in Sabaody Archipelago for too long would undoubtedly make Marine Headquarters anxious.

Moreover, they simply couldn't stand World Nobles who often came to this island. In case they ran into one, Giotto was worried that he might not be able to resist the urge to kill them.

However, during their vist this time, it was as if the World Nobles had vanished into thin air.

"Arara, leaving already, Vongola Primo?" At this moment, behind a nearby rock, Admiral Aokiji slowly stood up and said as he removed his eye patch, "Don't be hasty, I have no ill intentions. Given how strong you are, if the Marines are truly planning to attack you, I surely won't come here alone. Fleet Admiral Sengoku is concerned that you may be planning something here on Sabaody Archipelago, so he sent me to investigate."

He sat down as nonchalantly as ever. As he had said, with no ill intent and no intention of attacking Giotto.

"Did you find out anything then?" Giotto asked casually.

"I think Vice Admiral Garp's speculation is correct. But if you want a honeymoon, can't you do it in New World? Coming to the Grand Line like this will make it difficult for us. After all, the Marines will be on guard if someone like you leaves New World, even if you're not planning anything."

Aokiji clearly didn't take his job seriously. If it weren't for Sengoku's order, he wouldn't have bothered coming to Sabaody Archipelago. After all, he was the one responsible for guarding Marine Headquarters at the moment.

Borsalino was busy with Special Science Group, while Momonga was patrolling Grand Line, except for the North Blue. After all, World Government had entrusted North Blue in Millefiore Family's hands. As a result, most of the Marine forces had been withdrawn from the North Blue. This decision had raised a lot of dissatisfaction among the Marines veterans, especially Z. However, as an organization under the World Government, they had no room for complaint in the face of orders issued directly by the Five Elders.

If there was a room for negotiation, the Seven Warlords of the Sea system would never have been established, let alone something as stupid as entrusting North Blue to Millefiore Family.

"Instead of keeping tabs on me, it would be better to put more effort on arresting the rookies, right? After all, I haven't truly caused trouble for the Marines, right? Well, setting aside the attack on G5 with Bullet of course, but it didn't cause any significant losses, did it?"

Giotto thought highly of Aokiji, mainly because Aokiji didn't attack them and had no intention of disrupting his honeymoon, "There are many things in the sea that the Marines should focus on, such as the Black Cat Pirates, the Krieg Pirates, and the Fox Pirates, among others."

When Aokiji heard those names, he seemed confuse. However, he became vigilant right away. Although he had never heard of those crews, the fact that Giotto, the leader of Vongola Family, mentioned them meant that those crews were worth noting, and he couldn't rule out the possibility that they had skilled combatants.

Once he returned, he would make sure to report those crews to Sengoku for a thorough investigation.

Later on, the Marine Headquarters deployed their elite forces to arrest those crews and looked up why those seemingly worthless crews had caught Giotto's attention.

Even Giotto himself didn't expect that the Marines would go that far just because he randomly mentioned those crews. Had he known that would happen, he might have thrown in a few more interesting names, like Straw Hat Pirates.

"Be that as it may, the Marines have suffered heavy losses because of Vongola Family. I don't have to rack my brains, the fact that Sakazuki die because of Vongola Family already make you the Marines' number one enemy. After all, you are the first to kill an Admiral after so long!"

Aokiji seemed to be chatting with an old friend and didn't show any hostility or resistance, "Well, he sort of brought it upon himself. By the way, where are you going next?"

"What? Is the Marines planning to ambush me again, just like on Round Island?"

Giotto finished packing the last bag into his small boat and smiled lightly.

"Are you kidding me? I've said that I have no intention of starting a war with you. It's just a question, and as I mentioned earlier, it's just for report. You certainly wouldn't want to encounter World Nobles during your honeymoon, would you? We don't want the World Nobles to visit the place you'll visit. After all, we don't want to have unnecessary conflicts with you at this time just because of them."

Aokiji certainly didn't like the World Nobles. After all, he was Garp's protégé, and it was clear that they did not align with his justice. Nevertheless, his justice was lazy justice, so he didn't really care about such things on daily basis. Although he had considered throwing insults at the Celestial Dragons like Garp, he restrained himself. After all, he was an Admiral!

"I plan to go to Water 7 to pay our respects, and then I'll probably head towards Alabasta. After all, we want to see the scenery of the desert kingdom. After that, we're not sure where we'll go, but we won't be going to the North Blue, for sure."

Giotto intentionally mentioned that he wouldn't be going to the North Blue. It was up to the Marines and the World Government regarding how they would interpret this statement.
