Chereads / The Choices we make [MMO Fantasy] / Chapter 34 - Chapter 34

Chapter 34 - Chapter 34

"Alexander, Alexis? Who is this woman anyway?"

Alexis facepalmed her head quite hard while understanding where her father had come from.

She just steamrolled over him with information he did not have to fully understand what was going on.

"To keep it short, this is Liliana." Alexis took Liliana's hand and put it into the air while waving with it.

"She is the goddess of creation of our world. But don't mistake her for the goddess who gave me my divine spark. That is the goddess of the other world."

Gregory had to gulp loudly. Why were his wife and daughter drinking with the gods? His wife even had a good relationship with the goddess, so it seemed.

"A- and why did both of them drink with the goddess?" He pointed at the still intoxicated woman in Alexis's arms.

"Do you have a hard time accepting that I copied Elly?"

He nodded and thought properly about the topic for the first time since he knew that his son had become his daughter.

It was a weird concept to pull his head around. To suddenly be able to change gender was certainly cool and beneficial, but morally speaking it was wrong.

But his son stopped being human the moment he entered the game world. The same thing could be said for Elly. When Alex was away, Elly tried out her elemental form in the kitchen for the first time and it was scary to just see the body of his daughter turn into pure flames.

The process was horrifying as her body melted away like wax and all that was left over was the shape of a human body but in flames.

Alexis must had had the same happen to her the first time she changed into her pure soul state.

It was only after that, that she was able to project other bodies as her main body.

In some sense. Both his kids died and were reborn long ago. So, what difference did it make that one of his kids was able to change genders whenever it wanted.

The other could turn into flames that were genderless anyway. Why differentiate between the two?

"I think that I understand your choice and no I don't have a hard time accepting it.

But I wasn't the one that you copied. Maybe Elly screamed at you, or even worse."

Alexis nodded and swayed with her body from left to right.

"Correct. And not only them had a hard time accepting it. This drunkard here sent them a bottle of alcohol down from heaven. This must have been the first miracle in a long while for her."

Liliana turned red while hearing this. Alexis was right, but that did not make her situation less embarrassing.

"So you took them to Liliana and went your own way?"

Lightly shaking her body again and nodding, Gregory seemed to understand what was going on.

After being lifted up and shaken for a while, Elly's unconscious body couldn't hold it in anymore and she puked on the floor.

"Damn it. That wasn't my intention. Sorry Liliana, I will cleanse them now. Although I wanted them to have a handover…"

Gregory and Liliana looked angrily at Alexis. Did she really just say that with a straight face?

Joan and Elly were already touched by Alexis; her holy aura could be therefore applied without hindrance.

They both awoke at the same time because of the influx of energy that shook them awake.

Feeling better than ever, they had only to process where exactly they were and why everything was upside down.

Elly saw her father, it was only that he was standing on the ceiling.

Joan, who had greater special awareness then her daughter apparently was looking down, or in case of gravity, she was looking up and saw the face of her other daughter.

"Why are you holding us now Alexis? Is the party already over?"

Party? They watched her exterminate things in the other world and bringing over some oni a party?

How drunk exactly were they?

"Yes, yes, it's time to go mom. Say your goodbyes to Liliana and then have some breakfast."

Alexis put both of the down so they can get accustomed to walk again.

Even though her holy aura cleansed the alcohol in their blood, their bodies needed a little bit of time to work properly again.

"Do you really intent to stay female for a long time?"

Elly looked at her feet while shyly asking whether it was okay for her to see Alex as a sister now.

Certainly this was a more fitting appearance for Alex than her previous one.

But in her opinion, the wolf form was the best. It was just so fluffy and cute.

'Wait, shouldn't Alexis's hair also be fluffy in human form?' Was everything Elly could think of before unconsciously reaching out for the head of her sister.

It was exactly like she had expected. Alexis's hair was silky smooth and felt great to touch.

Even though she had no particular hairstyle going on, this seemed natural for her.

But a ponytail would be better.

Elly started playing with Alexis's hair and trying out different styles while Liliana apologized to Gregory for excluding him in the gathering.

She explained to him that Alexis just left the two of them in heaven and that she went to the other world afterwards.

As she summarized she recounted the thing about the screen. Actually, it was Elly's idea to spy on her now sister a little bit.

Just like watching tv, they watched over Alexis as she made her way through monster camps and lastly the thing with the oni.

This part made Liliana furious. How could Alexis allow outsiders into her world?

The only thing that calmed her down were the condition she had for them. Through them she gained skilled personnel, who could conquer Great Britain just with the five of them.

Nine if they got the help of the idiots that allowed them to get the location of the world in the first place.

"That reminds me that I will have to have a talk with the other goddess. The fact that the oni could hijack the connection of the soul avatars is a loophole that no one thought about.

Or was it there on purpose? I don't know."

Liliana's thoughts swayed from Alexis's family towards the bugs that the connection had.

If some random oni could use the connection, how would proper demons react to that information.

Alexis somehow contained the problem by eliminating the spread of the information, but somewhere, under the same circumstances, more intelligent people could also figure something easy like that out.

Liliana walked them to the teleporter and after saying her goodbyes, she went out of the room.

For Joan, who wanted to enjoy the company of the god a little bit more, this went by too fast.

"Should we also use the teleporter?"

Elly talked to them from behind and was thoroughly confused of what to do now.

Alexis may have an idea of what to do, but for the rest of them, the God leaving the room signaled the end of their stay as well.

"I can show you around heaven another time. Maybe even the holy swords collection. They will enjoy the company and maybe some blades will take a liking to you and want to come with you as a replica."

Now that he thought about giving his family holy swords. Why didn't he just make soul avatars out of his swords and let them connect with their counterpart?

Hundred connections with the main body would be too complicated, but for one blade it should be fine.

This way, Alexis could protect her family with the help of the holy swords.

Gregory was excited by the idea of having a holy sword. He was a mage by heart, but fantasy swords were something that every boy dreamed of.

"Can I get the same replica that you give your angels for a blade Alexis?

Gregory couldn't wait. His daughter could already create blades. This meant in conclusion that Alexis had already visited the holy swords once and got to replicate a sword.

The question was only which sword he replicated and how good the copy was.

"Sure thing. But remember, the aura of the blade is quite strong. The last time I showed it off in the other world, the entire room felt the need to pray for their survival."

Alexis conjured a replica of Excalibur and handed it to her father.

"But you are a mage, do you really need a holy sword?"

Alexis's father looked at her in disbelief. Did she really forget the burly build her father wished for?

He was muscular and strong. That he was a mage was a surprise for anyone who saw him for the first time.

"You are right in the aspect that I am a mage. But I can do this!!!"

He swung down the sword and it was suddenly incased in fire.

And not the normal kind. The flame was taking on the properties of the sword and produced holy flames.

"I just use the sword as a catalyst just like a staff. I can also swing it around, but what you have created here is a condensation of your own mana in the form of a sword. I have the weaker mana properties, so my mana tends to adapt to yours."

This made a lot of sense for Alexis. The holy swords were talking something about that this would be great for magic to flow through. But at that time, she thought they meant it because the sword had no impurities at all.

It was the definition of purity after all.

Not because the mana would take on the divine property.

"This is likely the reason why my angels like them so much. With how much divinity is stored in the blades, even the weak angels get a great boost just by holding it."

Alexis wanted to leave heaven at first, but now that she thought about it, giving a few blades to Ursula would be the better choice.

"Come her for a bit."

Alexis stood on the teleporter and when her family entered the circle, she activated it.

Arriving back in the main hall behind Ursula's desk, who wanted to ignore anything that came out of there, Alexis went towards her and started talking to her.

So far she had a great day she believed.

Why did Alexis had to ruin her mood every time she came here?

"What can I do for you this time?" She asked Alexis in a foul mood.

"Nothing much at all. No worries."

The mana that she had absorbed so far, allowed her to create over fifty specked down blades.

As they only used a fourth of what the originals needed, they could be easily mass produced.

Ursula was shocked when a small mountain of swords was built next to her desk.

How in the name of God, could this crazy lady conjure so many holy swords?

What was she eating to get mana from?

A little bit scared, Ursula thanked Alexis for her patronage and decided to create a new document where she would write down the names of the angels that were following Alexis and also got swords.

She entered work mode again and let nothing come to her.

The remaining three looked suspiciously at the mountain of blades.

For anyone who had a good mana sense, they could see that the blades that were created by Alexis, were inferior to the original product that she conjured for Gregory.

After being done, Alexis beckoned them to go through a golden door that just appeared out of nowhere and showed their living room on the other side.

The gates to heaven sure were convenient they thought.

Arriving in the living room, they started berating Alexis that she could not give her angels cheap products that were inferior to the original swords.
