Some even thought that the old street was haunted, and they had caught the attention of something unclean... The latter explanation was actually quite apt.
After all, isn't a runaway seal similar to a "ghost" in that it's an unscientific phenomenon?
And isn't extraordinary pollution the same as something unclean?
