As she let her mind wander with unlikely thoughts, Laisa asked casually, "What were you up to the night before last?"
Motan laughed, "I went to handle a big matter."
Laisa was momentarily taken aback, expecting him to say he went to see a lover, and asked curiously with widened eyes, "What big matter?"
"I have an old flame who's recently come into good fortune," Motan smacked his lips, speaking animatedly, "When I found out, I went over to see her, reminding the girl not to forget our past ties, then I stayed at her place for the night, sleeping until... uh!"
Laisa withdrew her slender hand from his chest with a cold snort, "I knew it."
Motan grinned sheepishly for a good ten seconds before asking with a smile, "Jealous?"
Pop!
This time he took two minutes to recover…
"I was just worried you might die in some ditch and wouldn't be able to fulfill what you promised me, that's all."
