From Cordova's and most others' perspectives, this conclusion indeed stands to reason.
Firstly, referring to Cordova's previous reckless speculation, Yu Chen and the first confirmed bearer of the Apocalypse's Light were both game players. Additionally, she was also the Saintess of the Church of Dawn, a favored follower of the goddess of dawn, Pacasi. Although it seems a bit far-fetched initially, finding four 'chosen ones' in the vast innocent continent is ludicrous in itself, making this slight stretch of an assumption non-objectionable.
Secondly, that Apocalypse Crystal did indeed react when Cordova approached the army camp. As he arrived outside the commander's tent, the crystal exploded into a beam of light, a reaction caused due to being in extreme proximity to a bearer of Light. Coincidentally, Yu Chen was the first to step out of the tent at this time!
