At that moment, a 'mutant' with both legs severed at the knee suddenly emerged from the bushes next to her. Its blood had dried up and its pale arms, blackened with scratches and wounds, were visible. Some of its joints were laid bare with stark bone shards protruding, yet it seemed oblivious to any pain as it flailed its arms wildly, trying to crawl towards Feather Song at a speed of at least twenty miles per hour.
"This is it~"
Feather Song, rolling at no more than two miles per hour, sighed and instinctively closed her eyes.
Then...
She felt the rush of air as several strong gusts passed beside her. Immediately after, she heard a full-throated cry. It was a human voice!
"In the name of the Dawn, this evil is worth fighting!!"
"In the name of the God of Justice, let's attack together!"
Crackling, clanging, hissing sounds...
Feather Song heard a series of not so pleasant sounds from a distance, then felt a pair of warm hands helping her up.
