Under ordinary circumstances, night always seems relatively short to us. Whether it's the fleeting slumber where closed eyes blink open to a new dawn, or the shameless, tender moments spent whispering sweet nothings with a lover, or even the long nights spent catching up on TV shows or gaming - all these activities seem to make time fly by.
But there are exceptions.
Like pulling an all-nighter at work, suffering from insomnia, being single and battling insomnia, being single with no insomnia yet still having to work late, or the countless nights spent absorbed in a novel or online game...
The last one, which somehow sneaked in there, always makes the night seem longer, while the day seems to pass in a flash.
And then, well... that's it. The day goes by just like that.
