"Dear Bart, you must be so engrossed in your study and exploration of magic that your brain has become rigid. Astonishingly, you granted him the title of Baron." William raised an eyebrow at Duke Galos next to him, then turned his head and looked deeply at Mo, smiling, "At least you should have added the word 'hereditary'."
Mo respectfully bowed to the emperor in front of him: "Thank you, Your Majesty."
The calm response from Mo moved the spectators; though to most here, a small hereditary baron may not count for much, for a newly ennobled whose ancestors had made mistakes, the weight of the word 'hereditary' couldn't be underestimated.
If a barony equates to some apartment that you have rented, then when the word 'hereditary' is added before it, the place completely belongs to you.
The difference in treatment may seem negligible, but the meaning between them is completely different.
