The people of Earth City finally snapped out of their joy of victory, staring at the raging fire that continued to blaze and the ruins scattered around them, even the corpses that were unrecognizable. All life forms were a bit dazed at this moment.
Though wars in the Gold Desert often involved tens of thousands of people, when have they ever witnessed such horrific scenes? A small Earth City had provoked an attack from the Police Alliance Army as well as battleships of the Auster people! This incident was one of the most horrifying in the history of the Gold Desert.
Each corpse spoke of the misery of this war. Despite Earth City's victory, it was nothing short of a pyrrhic one. At this point, only about a seventh of the original inhabitants of Earth City remained; the rest either died or fled. The city's population was now fewer than ten thousand.
