Not far from this active volcano stood an ancient Japanese 'Long House' style building.
This structure wasn't what it appears to be on the outside - old and ancient. Inside, it was filled with advanced apparatus and many leading scientific researchers!
These people were bustling around the place, dedicating their intellect and toil to gain a better understanding of the Japanese 'Miracle', in order to accelerate the development of great technology in Japan!
Everything was as stable as ever. If everything went as planned, these researchers would spend their lifetimes here, working on their studies. Even if they didn't get to see the country become one of the world's top powers before they passed away, they'd be at peace!
