"That's the situation. What's your take on it, Vanna?"
On the deck of the Homeloss, Duncan said to Vanna, who was holding a newly carved Sea Breath Wood amulet.
Vanna listened, bewildered, as Duncan relayed the problems encountered by the White Oak and the captain's plans for the future. It took her a while to react. She tossed the newly carved amulet into a barrel and lifted her head, "Are you suggesting that I vouch for the White Oak in my capacity as a saint, and then issue a pass in my capacity as a Judge that would allow a ship that has undergone a transformation to reclaim a legal status?"
"It seems feasible procedurally," Duncan said seriously, "after all, you are indeed a saint of the Storm Goddess—and a Judge of Prand."
"But my position as a Judge has already been revoked…"
Duncan waved his hand dismissively, "Wasn't it arranged privately by your Pope? Your official public identity hasn't changed."
