The whirlwind, entwined with pale dust and smoke, gradually faded from Duncan's view.
Agatha had left.
"I always feel... that she has changed a lot compared to before," Vanna finally broke the silence when the last wisp of Grey Wind had disappeared into the air, "especially the last few words she said—they do not resemble something that the former 'Gatekeeper' would say."
"Experiences change a person, particularly all that she has gone through," Duncan said lightly, "and on the other hand, the role she shoulders now is not just that of 'Gatekeeper', which means change was inevitable."
Vanna seemed curious, "You don't seem worried?"
"Because she hasn't wavered—those who have fully realized become even more resolute," Duncan remarked casually, "She is rational, and not likely to take a paranoid or erroneous path due to the existential pressures on the City-State. Her last few words may not have been devout, but at least they were lucid."
