The battle commenced with Sea Mist's first salvo, a thunderous roar that echoed across the entire sea area. The shells whistled through the sky, then at the end of their parabolic trajectory, plummeted into the ocean, raising towering columns of water and causing localized chaotic surges.
The first salvo missed entirely, the second salvo missed entirely, and it wasn't until the third salvo that the barrage from Sea Mist finally grazed the side of Homeloss.
Spectral Flames blazed between every seam and mast of Homeloss, and Duncan gripped the wheel tightly, directing the massive Ghost Ship across the sea like a moving mountain of flames. The majestic bow cleaved through the waves ahead, stirring up a series of white foam and ripples on either side of Homeloss, while in the corner of his eye, he caught a black shadow swiftly pouncing towards the aft deck.
