Calming themselves down, they focus on the mana around them. Afterwards they just try to collect with their hands. This fails, and the mana just slips right through their hands. After a few failed attempts one of them says, "How about we focus on our breathing, and see if we can breathe it in."
Focusing on their breathing, they slow it down. After a few minutes of focusing on their breathe, small vortexes appear. Slowly these vortexes grow. Smiling one asks, "So what do we do from here?"
"Just try to guide it somewhere in the body and condense it, I guess."
With that Vayu slowly guides the energy to his sternum. Freyja tries to condense the energy towards the center of the fore head. Electra focuses the energy to her brain. Amber focuses it on her heart, as Nyx focuses it at the top of the spine.
Looking down some teachers discuss something. One teacher points to the five siblings, "They are already focusing on the mana and their breathing."
"So, others will get to that point."
Shaking his head the teacher says, "You don't seem to understand. Its only been two minutes since we started to increase the mana density. Not many have noticed yet."
"Wait they already are trying to form mana cores? That is something to point out. It's been a while since we've seen anyone do such a thing in the assembly hall. At least on day one that is."
After an hour of constantly compressing the mana they manage to form a mana core. Looking at each other they smile. Nyx whispers, "Maybe we can form multiple of these spheres."
With that Vayu tries to form a mana core outside of his body. Freyja starts to form one but has it try to orbit around the original core. Nyx goes to form another core in another location of her body. Amber tries to form a second mana core of the same exact size right on top of the original core. While Electra tries to view the inside of the original mana core.
After ten minutes of trying, Amber looks at the others, "This is far more difficult then just creating the first one."
"That is right so how are you going about it?"
"Freyja don't be to careless, how can we let others know what we are attempting."
"Electra is correct, we will discuss how we thought of it at home," Vayu says.
Nyx looks at them shakes her head and gets back to trying to form another mana core. After a short while Nyx notices mana converging into two different spots in her body. With a smile she tries to make another core.
A few minutes later Vayu manages to succeed. Seeing how the mana converges in front of him and inside of his body he tries to make a core that is both half in and half out of the body.
Electra manages to view inside of the mana core afterwards and starts to try and form another core within it. While she is able to guide the mana to a spot condensing down the already condensed mana proves to be much more difficult. She focused on her breathing and more mana flows into the core. This new mana condenses into another core rather quickly due to the pressure of the surrounding mana pressing on it.
While trying to condense a revolving core Freyja calls upon how the moon revolves around the planet and says, "That's how I can form it. The moons do exactly what I'm trying. Yeah that should work."
The others look at him and sigh. Shortly afterwards he manages to condense his second mana core and smiles. Amber keeps trying to make the second just as big as the first one. Each time she fails, she looks down and thinks how she can actually lay them on top of each other.
After a few minutes she goes, "That should be the way."
With a smile she goes back to the original core. She continues to condense her second mana core, slowly she makes the second core slightly less tangible compared to the first one. Thinking of how air can still get through cloth to let one breath she manages to form the second core.
As they continue to form more cores they feel less mana in the air. Looking around they hear, "It is time for you all to go home. Have a good day."
Getting up the five siblings walk out with smiles. Reaching the schools entrance they see Garth and run towards him. He smiles at them and asks, "How was your first day?"
"Eventful to say."
"Well there was no guidance at all. No one came to tell us what to do or how to do stuff."
"Well, kids that's how they start it off. Just wait and see. Eventually you will be guided by them."
"Let's get home soon. We have things to discuss," she runs ahead of them
Laughing Garth says, "She's as excitable as ever. Let's get going."
After arriving home Amber looks at the others and says so how did you decide to make more of those spheres?"
Garth looks at them and says, "So you actually managed to make at least one mana sphere each that is great. It is wonderful you even thought of making more of them?"
"So people don't have more then one core?" Vayu asks.
"Normally no. By the time most people find out about the fact that they could have had multiple mana cores they are no longer able to condense them."
"Why is that?" Nyx asks.
"Well that is due to the rank of the core. You have white cores right now. After a certain stage of core development the mana gets tainted with a specific element. That little bit of an element makes it so the person can't condense another core. Since you need a pure mana core to condense more cores. As far as I know that is."
"How do people normally form multiple cores?"
"They keep that a secret. Anyone with multiple mana cores doesn't share how they did it."
"I will go first. I thought that maybe I could form a core within a core. The trick with that is to guide mana from outside of the core to do so."
"I went for something similar. I tried making cores of the same size directly on top of each other. To do so I had to make each one more cloth like then the last. So you can let the mana go through like the air does cloth."
"That's quite interesting. Did you try to phase the cores on to each other to reach your actual goal?"
"What's phasing then?" Amber asks.
"Well it's basically having another object go directly through another without interfering with it. Or two objects hit each but instead of being pushed back they keep going like the other wasn't there."
"That should work. So I'll give it a try tomorrow."
Freyja looks up and says, "I went to make the other cores revolve around a central one like the moons do."
Nyx looks up and says, "I tried forming them at different points around the body. My thought was it should be able to strengthen my body."
Vayu looks at them and says, "I formed cores outside of my body, and in a state that's have inside and half outside of my body. I figured it would let me be able to perceive the world around me easier."
"We should all try each other's methods tomorrow. Maybe we can figure out other things we can do with the mana cores as well," Amber frantically says.
"Well seems like you all will be able to figure things out on your own. I would never have thought Nine stars with the nine revolutions would mean so much."
"What are you talking about Garth?" Nyx asks.
"Don't worry about that for now. Just enjoy your time at school. You five have opened up my view of multiple cores."
Talking for a bit longer he puts them to bed. Sighing he thinks to himself, 'Linna, Maria, Drata, and Bori would all be so proud of them. Sadly they aren't here. Ten years without their birth parents. Ten years without any of their blood relatives. Hopefully they can get strong enough to save their parents.' Afterwards Garth goes to sleep as well.
