"Where am I?" I say as I look at the white expanse surrounding me that seems to go on for infinity. The ground beneath my feet began the shake making me fall. After collecting myself I look up to see an enormous person at least 200 meters tall with blood red hair and bright crimson eyes staring down at me. The giant has a huge body that seems to be filled with unimaginable power and veins that seem full of golden blood show from his skin flowing over his body.
All of a sudden a cute young girl's voice sounds in the white expanse dragging me away "Brother wake up". I wake up with a yawn and stretch then sit up to notice a young girl in her school uniform looking at me from the side of the bed with a pouty face.
"Stop being so lazy brother! It took me so long to wake you up! Hmph" She says with an angry tone. I reach over and rub her head with my hand and she seems to forget why she was angry.
"I'm sorry Lily." I say with a caring tone. "You better be!" She says as she quickly moves her head from underneath my hand and storms out the room. I chuckle a little bit and stand up then I go to the mirror in my room.
I stare at my body in the mirror and the only word to describe it is, Weak. Bones sticking out all over my body and it looks like I don't have an ounce of muscle anywhere. My mind can't help but go to the ginormous man in dream before I quickly shake it out of my mind and put on school clothes then go down stairs.
" Come eat your breakfast quickly dear, Before your late for school." My mom says from the kitchen as I walk down the stairs. "I'm not hungry mom" I say as I get to the bottom of the stairs. "Not happening mister, Come here and eat" She says with a stern voice.
I sigh then quickly go the kitchen and sit at the table next to my father who is reading the newspaper. I quickly began to eat the simple breakfast of pancakes, bacon, eggs, and a glass of orange juice. "Have a good day at school, son" My father says without putting down the newspaper.
My sister finally comes down the stairs as well and join us at the table then begins her breakfast. I quickly finish my breakfast and go put my dishes in the sink then my mom kisses me on the cheek, "Have a good day at school dear, Love you" She says with a loving tone.
"Love you too mom, Come on Lily lets go to school" I say as I slip my shoes on and grab my backpack. I grab Lily small hand then lead her out the door, "Be careful you two" Mom says as we head out the door.
I take Lily to her school and drop her off, "See you after school brother" She says with a joyful smile as she walks into her school. I wave her off then start the walk to my school. My mind can't help but drift off to the dream I had that morning and without watching where I'm going I bump into someone.
"Watch where your f*cking going bas-" He says before stopping abruptly noticing who it was that bumped into him then he smiles like a demon, " Well, Well, Well, If it isn't little Liam" He says with a ridiculing tone. I notice who it was that I bumped into and hate filled my veins. "Zeke, Of course I just had to run into this son of b*tch" I think before he drags me into the nearest alley and slams me against the wall of the alley and punches me in the gut.
I kneel over as the wind got knocked out of my lungs then madness fills me as I hatefully glare at this big ugly bastard above me, "Better watch who your f*cking looking at you piece of sh*t!" He says as he punches me in the face making me hit the floor then walks up and kicks me in the stomach knocking me into the alleyway wall. He walks up to me and grabs me by my hair and turns my head toward him.
"You better watch where your walking from now on, Little Liam" He says to me with a ridiculing tone. I smile at him with a blood filled grin before spitting the blood in his face. "Fuck you" I say as he then proceeds to slam my head into the ground making my vision fade until I pass out.
When my eyes open again I'm back on that white expanse from the morning with the giant staring down at me. "Weak" He says with an indifferent tone as he turns around and walks away. "F*CK YOU! YOU BIG OL B*TCH!" The puny and frail looking ant beneath screams at the giant. The giant froze in tracks mid step before laughing the hardest he has in millennia's.
"WHAT YOU LAUGHING AT!" Liam screams again looking at the giant before him. "I like you puny human" The giant says as he turns around and wipes the tears that have collected at his eyes. "It has been a very long time since someone has dared to speak to the God of Giants like that" the giant says with a amused smile on his as he looks down at the human who seams less puny in his eyes.
Liam is stunned instantly but before he can say anything pain assaults his body and the white expanse slowly fades as he hears the giants voice say "I'll be waiting puny human".
Liam wakes up and immediately sits up before quickly regretting it as the pain hits him like a freight train. He grimaces as he looks around and he realizes that he still in that same alleyway where he was beat up earlier. He scoots his back against the alleyway wall before checking the condition of his body. "I definitely have at least a broken rib" He thinks as he rubs the side where he was kicked. He looks around and realizes that its already dark out.
"They must be worried sick, I hope Lily made it home ok" He thinks as he slowly stands up on wobbly feet pain stabbing at every part of his body. "Come on. I have dealt with worse before" He thinks as he stumbles his way out of the alley limping back towards his home in the evening time.
Upon reaching his house he sees his mother waiting on the steps. Upon seeing his mom stands up "How come you didn't get Lily fro-" She said with a serious tone before stopping mid sentence the color draining from her face as she looked at him.
"What happened to you!" She says with a tone of urgency as she quickly ran up and supported her son that was limping through the gate of there yard. "I'm okay mom. I just got into a little accident at school that's all" He said forcing a smile on his face trying to comfort his mom.
"If its them damn boys again I swear to god I'm-" She says before she is quickly interrupted. "Mom I'm okay. It wasn't them I just tripped and fell down the stairs at school." He says walking through the front door with his mom supporting him. "That's what you said the last time!" She said with a angry tone.
"Mom, I'm okay. I'm very tired so imma go to my room and go to bed" He says with a smile to his mom before quickly limping up the stairs into his room before his mom can retort. His mom stands there at the bottom of the stairs stomping angrily.
Liam enters his room and quickly shuts the door before dropping his heavy book bag and sliding down the door with his back against it. "Damn this hurts" He says as he takes his shirt off inspecting his ribs where one is black and blue and heavily swollen. He stands back up and goes over to the side of his room where there is a box that has various medical supplies. Liam begins to spread the ointment over his cuts before putting a bandage over them. He applies medicine to his ribs before wrapping them in bandages.
Liam goes to his bed and sits on it. His eyes flash with a cold glint as his memories of what happened in the alleyway surface. "I should have killed that bastard long ago." He thinks as he sits on his bed staring off into space. He quickly shakes away the thoughts thinking about how his mother would react if she heard the what he was thinking. He sighs before laying down on the bed with his head on a pillow. "Whatever, lets just let this day be over with" He thinks as he quickly falls asleep from exhaustion.
Liam opens his eyes to find himself back on the white expanse with the giant looking at him again. "What do you want this time." Liam says with a indifferent tone as he looks at the giant. "What is it that you want in life puny human?" The giant asks with a curious tone and a amused expression on his face. Liam sighs as he looks at the towering giant above him. "Strength" Liam said with a serious expression on his face. The giant looked at him with a amused expression but didn't say anything.
Liam was about to say something again but before he could, Heat began to spread over all his body then that heat quickly turned into a burning sensation waking him up. Liam woke up with a shock to see that his house was on fire and it was spreading quickly throughout the house. Liam jumped up ignoring the pain wracking body from head to toe. Liam bolted across his room to his bedroom door but what awaited him on the other side shook him to his core.
There was fire all around the house and it looked like the house was barely keeping together. Liam then quickly ran to Lily's run that was across the hall bursting through the door he noticed the little girl crying on her bed not knowing what to do as flames filled her room. "LILY!" He quickly ran and picked her up. "BROTHER!" She screamed and cried in his arms. "Everything gonna be fine Lily okay? You just got to listen to big brother alright." He said as he picked her up into his arms comforting her quickly. She kept crying so hard she couldn't even get another word out.
Liam ran back out the door of the room making his way down the hallway when the beam supporting the roof at the end of the hall fell blocking there way to the stairs. "LILY!LIAM! ARE YOU THERE!" His mother screamed from the other side of the rubble. "MOM! WE ARE ON THE OTHER SIDE" Liam screamed as the fire behind coming closer blocking the way back.
"Follow me closely Lily. When big brother tells you I want you to crawl through as quickly as you can okay." Liam said as he quickly approached the rubble with Lily following close behind. Liam approached the beam and grabbed under it with arms ignoring the burning sensation on hands. Liam thought of the giant in that moment, The 200 meter tall behemoth.
"If you are who you say you are, Then give me STRENGTH!" Liam thought then quickly began to lift with all his might straining his arms to max, He could feel the tearing of his tendons. The beam didn't budge, It seemed hopeless then he felt power fill his muscles giving him unimaginable power. The beam slowly started to rise. "AHHHHHH!" Liam screamed as he lifted the beam big enough for lily to crawl under it. "GO LILY GO!!!" Liam screamed at the top of his lungs straining every fiber of being to lift the beam. lily crawled under the beam and when he noticed that she was through the whole he made he dropped the beam. "I did it" Liam thought as the power quickly left him making him fall over from weakness, "LIAM!" His mom and dad screamed from the other side of the rubble as he fell to the ground with no energy left at all. "I guess this is it" He thought as the fire consumed him and darkness slowly taking over his vision. In the midst of all that darkness he heard a voice call to him.
"You have impressed me puny human. I'll give you what you desire. I WIIL GIVE YOU STRENGTH! GO! REMIND THESE FOOLS OF MY LEGACY!!! THE LEGACY OF THE GIANTS." The same giant's voice that was in his dreams rang out. The giant boisterous laughter slowly faded out before every thing went dark.
