Chapter 2 : College of Elkwood
The Elite College of Elkwood was located near the magic temple. At orientation I would receive fancy black uniforms decorated with real golden trims, buttons and a badge that showed my status in the college as a freshman. The badge looked like a golden elk head with the roman numerical symbol for one on its forehead. Unlike the female students I was only allowed to take one class which was centered around my talent because I was a male student.
The class in question was for alchemy which lasted for eight hours between 8am-4pm three days of the week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday. In comparison to my old modern world the educational standard outside of magic was low due to the lack of a reliance on technology I learned this fact from Sebastian so I had confidence that my Elven Fire invention would not be so easily reverse engineered. However because of magic I could not predict when or if the elven alchemist would be able to figure out the recipe.
As a male despite my talents I knew that I would not be treated with respect within the elite college and as a result I would still have to share a dorm with the other elf women. To make things more annoyingly complicated I was not automatically assigned to a dorm like the other students and would have to ask for permission to join a cramped dorm room that was already filled with two other students. Unsurprisingly because I had stood out among my peer group I was swarmed by the elven women who saw my Elven Fire to join their dorm.
There was no lack of offers however I felt uneasy about accepting any right away because they all gave off a sketchy feeling and had creepy looks in their eyes. Men are born naturally physically stronger than women however in this world because of magic that biological advantage becomes meaningless the moment a woman is able to cultivate and cast magic. Using magic to enhance their strength to superhuman levels is among the basics of what a magic user can do.
So despite the female elves' beautiful and gentle appearance they were all capable of tearing my body apart with their bare hands with little effort. For the meantime I would walk back to my old home and sleep there until I found suitable dorm mates. Ideally my dorm mates should be people who won't attack me and will act as my meat shield deterrents from other students.
After the orientation I would be given a pretty hefty allowance to cover all my basic living expenses. At the very least I did not need to keep waiting for my parents to send me money anymore or get a job. But not having my own dorm was incredibly inconvenient, the walk back home was over an hour long.
Whether or not it was at school or on the way home I was not used to hearing women openly and sneakily discuss about how badly they wanted to fuck me and shove my cock inside of them so egregiously in public. It appears the rumors of my Elven Fire invention have spread which brought a lot of attention to me. Apart from being cat-called, the more problematic women were the ones that got angry and kept following me despite me ignoring or politely rejecting their advances.
If this had been my old world this would have been awesome and I would not have needed to worry about the dangers because I was a guy and carried a gun. But even with a gun here it would be useless. These women were essentially super powered bullet proof freaks and could only be hurt by other super powered freaks.
When I finally arrived mentally exhausted from having to deal with so many annoying people on the way back I greeted Sebastian and told him of my dilemma before going to bed. I needed more money, although I could not cast or cultivate magic. I had seen a few of the more affluent students during the orientation use magical items that did not require an injection of magic to wield like a voice command flying carpet, magic storage rings, assistant fairies. But those magical items were things only rich merchants and nobles could afford.
I knew very well that if I had any hope of surviving and thriving inside or outside of the Elven Imperium for long I needed some form of magic to get by. I had the Elven Fire bombs but they were hardly useful in my situation, what I needed most was Magic Meatshields until I could afford to get magic items for myself.
When I arrived at Elkwood for my first day of class like yesterday I was followed and surrounded by my fellow female students the moment I reached campus. But this time I would act much more receptive towards all of them. I was fully determined to study and observe each and every one of them until I could find my ideal dorm mates!
