Chapter 10 - The Immortal World

The Three Moon Realm, one of the biggest domains in Floating Cloud World, was part of the continents that followed the cultivation path. Most of its lands were surrounded by a boundless ocean, tall mountains, lush forests, and long rivers that spread like a spider web on the Three Moon domain flowing with divine water, providing the land with new life. The whole Three Moon domain gave people the feeling of an immortal land.

The Three-Moon realm/domain was divided into seventy-two continents between different superpowers. Every one of them was big as dozen planets in size. Its inhabitants were mostly humans and humanoid species. It was also not hard to find exotic species like dragons and phoenixes on these lands.

On the east of the Three-Moon domain existed a prosperous land called Raven Continent. The Raven Continent was huge and had a diameter of 2,376,940 kilometers (17 Jupiter in comparison). It was one of the places where people followed the Cultivation path in Floating World. The Raven continent was divided into nine regions, the Four Clovers region being the biggest and most powerful. Which was even further divided into different nations and countries. The name of Four Clover comes from Four Clover's leaf trees which grow in this region abundantly.

On a cold morning, when the Sun had yet to rise in Cloudfall town, a young man around nineteen-twenty stood half naked in a big courtyard of a house. His body was drenched in sweat, and his arms and legs moved continuously at speed unseeable to the naked eye as he practiced his martial arts. Every defined muscle of his body followed a rhythm as they forced out a force to rip apart even a mountain. His powerful heart throbbed as it gusted out blood with force to all his muscles.

"Kair, food is ready. Stop practicing," a feminine voice came from inside the house. The young man who was practicing martial arts was Kair. This year he turned twenty years old and was at the pinnacle of Level 0 (Body Building Stage).

Out of all the paths in the Everlast Universe, the path of cultivation was the most widespread. Some historical records even said that cultivation was one of the first paths people discovered in the first era. Path of Cultivation was arduous and filled with difficulties at every level. It took cultivators longer to progress than other paths like Wizard, Sorcerer, or Mystic Profession. Because the cultivation path requires a person to have good comprehension ability than any other path without good comprehension abilities, a cultivator would not be able to walk this path after a few levels unless the cultivator receives some external help.

After finishing his exercise, Kair walked inside the house and went to the washroom. Washing himself up, he went to the dining table where his parent was about to start their breakfast.

"How was practice going," Kair's father asked.

"It's Good. I may be able to enter the next stage in three or four months," Kair answered.

Only when a person advances to level 1 (Dao Resonance Stage) will they truly be called a cultivator, and their true path of cultivation will start. But more than half of people who advanced to the Body Building Stage will stop at level 0 and not progress any further, and only Kair knew how much truth existed in his words. To reach Dao Resonance Stage, a person must first experience and try to find their Dao Pathway, which was very hard.

The current cultivation path (Dao Seeking Path), widespread in Endless Universe, was divided into a total of ten levels and was the product of the last 12 eras combination of all the cultivation path levels knowledge that provided cultivators with the most benefits in their Dao Pathway.

Kair's parents were normal humans. They did not have any spirit roots, which caused them to be unable to cultivate, and they did not have the resources to become wizards or sorcerers. But when they had their first son Kair who luckily had a spirit root, like any parent, they placed all their hope and dreams on Kair's shoulders, causing him to always worry about breaking their dream.

The spirit roots were divided into five grades, and Kair only had a fourth-grade spirit root. In his case, who was born from two normal human's chances of a child having a spirit root were extremely low, and being born with a fourth-grade root was already earth-defying luck, but with a fourth-grade spirit root, Kair only had twenty to thirty percent chances of reaching level 1.

Kair finished his breakfast fast and walked toward his room to get ready. Even though he had a low-grade spirit root, he had an exceptional comprehension ability, and with his comprehension and luck, he was able to manage to become an outer disciple of the Three Clover Sect.

Three Clover Sect was named after Four Clover Region and was one of the ten most prominent sects in the region. It came into existence six hundred and fifty-three thousand years ago, surviving multiple calamities from older times. It stood strong from the corrosion of time. The Three Clover sect ruled over multiple nations and countries, home to billions of people and cultivators who lived on these lands in harmony.

Wearing a black robe, Kair walked out of the house and headed toward the town school.

Rulers of the Four Clover region passed a law; if someone opened a sect in the Four Clover Region, the sect must take responsibility for educating the mortals. The town Kair lived in had a small branch of the Three Clover sect, which taught education to every child and adult who wanted to learn, and if a person wanted to enter the main Three Clover sect, they must first be broken through level 1 Dao Resonance.

Sitting in class, Kair listened to his teacher telling them about the history of the Four Clover kingdom. While listening, Kair felt sleepy, and he would take a big yawn from time to time. History was too boring for a cultivator who could live for thousands of years. To cultivators, history was just a passing moment.

"Hey... hey, Kair," a boy murmured while poking Kair back.

"What" replied Kair somewhat agitatedly.

"I heard the town chief bought Dao comprehension leaf for his son," he said slowly.

"How do you know that" Kair sounded somewhat suspicious. The news was simply hard to believe.

"Hehe... I have my connections; do you want to come along? We are going to try to steal it."

Kair pondered for a moment, his current chances of breaking through to Level 1 were only 30%, and given Kail's connections, the chances of news being were rather high. But the risk of dying was also high.

"Looting town lord manor, you know how many Body Building Stage people they have. You are just looking for a horrible way to die."

"I know already, but next week the town chief is going on some trip out of town and won't be coming back for two days, leaving only a few people will be home to protect the manor. Our chances of stealing are quite high," Kail said confidently.

"Moreover, a heavenly treasure like that is a total waste on his no-good son," Kail commented with disdain.

"I already have one person ready, and you being my childhood friend, that's why I asked you; otherwise, don't think I will be missing people to come with me to steal," Kail said unhappily. He was already doing his friend a favor, and now Kair suspected him of lying.

"Ok, I believe you, but when do we start" Kair agreed after giving it a thought. Lucky chances like this were hard to come by, and in the cultivation world, if you cannot grasp a chance, you will never be able to progress in your Dao.

"Good, let's meet tomorrow night at Bao's house. We will discuss the plan then." saying that Kail stopped talking and focused on the lecture. Education was still necessary. What if he doesn't progress? An educated person can at least find a job than an uneducated person.

On the second floor of his shop, Eon sat on a sofa with his broken leg wrapped in white plaster and placed on a low table in the front. The doctor, Second took Eon to tell them the leg would take three to four days to heal completely.

On the table on which Eon's leg was stretched straight, there were random things like a die, a key, a card, and a coin total of nine things scattered over.

Except that. There were two flowerpots on both sides of the window in the room, with red flowers blooming in them. There was also a fan on the roof that swirled slowly. Overall, the warm environment inside the room only increased Eon's mood to sleep. Trying not to fall asleep, Eon picked up each curio and inspected them carefully for any defects. While observing, Eon Heard footsteps of someone coming upstairs.

"Master, I brought the thing you asked for" After entering the room, Second bowed and greeted Eon before taking a black box out of thin air and placing it on the table carefully.

Eon Picked the box with both hands and moved it closer to his eyes. The box felt heavy and was made from unknown materials. It was blackish silver in color and had intricate symbols and markings all over it, which changed every few seconds.

The box had some kind of charm to it, it tempted anyone who saw it to open it. Eon slowly opened the box. The box was filled with dark fog, which blocked all the prying eyes and any means of divination. Inside the box existed a huge empty space, shrouded by the dark fog was a hall with a round table in the center encircled by nine small and one big chair.

"Good craftsmanship," Eon commented as he inspected and looked inside the box.

Eon picked all the nine random scattered things from the table and dropped them inside the box. The nine random artifacts seemed to gain sentence after being dropped inside, and they arranged themselves inside the box on different chairs. After the last look, Eon closed the box as he pondered something.

"What should we call this box" Eon muttered to himself.

"Pandora Box – Box of Misfortune or Pandora Box – Box of Caos and Disorder'" he wondered. Second standing beside Eon looked at the box; he felt somewhat fear when he looked at the box. At his stage how many things were dangerous to him, he wondered. Maybe all those could be counted on a single hand. But now, one more thing has been added to that list.

"Let then history decide what to call this Box" Not thinking much, Eon commented and handed the Box to Second.

"How do you feel about history being created in front of you," Eon asked Second with a mischievous smile. Seeing Eon smile, Second only smiled warily. He did not have any words to say, nor did he try to guess the meaning behind the words and smile. Because he already knew the answer.

"Throw it into the River of Time but make sure the Box gets sent to either Sixth Prime Era or Seventh," saying that Eon waved his hand, urging Second to move fast.

Taking the order, Second did not dare to touch the box. He wrapped the box with white light and moved fast as he disappeared from the place.

Somewhere outside the current reality in an empty Void where no Laws or Concepts existed. A golden matter resembling sparkling water flowed slowly in the shape of a river. The golden river flowed for an unknown distance before arriving at the unknown location. It poured onto the Wheel of Time, which maintained the time in the universe and its timelines. Surrounded the River of Time was the white fog that shrouded the river completely. The mist was called Fog of History, which recorded everything that ever happened from the universe's beginning.

Second looked at the scene with sparkling eyes. This scene alone provided him with great inspiration on his path of cultivation. Only a few people could ever whiteness this scene, and only a handful was allowed to observe it.

Not wasting any more time, Second took out the box. However, before throwing the box inside the River of Time, Second opened the box a little and removed one curio from inside. He sealed the box the same as before and gently threw it into the river before disappearing from the place.
