Inuyasha's half-demon identity left him in a difficult position.
Ordinary humans saw him as a monster, while demons didn't accept him.
So, after his mother's passing, the young Inuyasha led a life filled with hardship and wandering.
He hated his half-demon identity and was desperate to escape his circumstances. In a world ruled by the law of the jungle, Inuyasha naturally developed a conviction: I want to become a true demon!
To him, demons represented the powerful forces of this world. The human blood within him brought only weakness and the sorrow of discrimination. Inuyasha's father was a mighty dog demon, and even his half-demon heritage granted him a wild strength.
Wolverine observed this strange world through Inuyasha's perspective, inevitably immersing himself into the role of the half-demon.
He thought it was amusing—he had spent his life suppressing his animalistic side in pursuit of a normal life, while Inuyasha did the exact opposite, striving to rid himself of his human blood and become a true, powerful demon.
Logan could only exist within Inuyasha, experiencing the world through his senses. He couldn't change anything or influence Inuyasha's choices, but he wondered, What would I be like if I were Inuyasha?
Would he unleash his inner beast completely?
But if he did, wouldn't that make him just like Victor?
As Inuyasha sought a way to transform into a full demon, he encountered a priestess named Kikyo—a beautiful woman with an exceptionally calm and cold demeanor.
Kikyo guarded a treasure known as the Shikon Jewel, which Inuyasha coveted, as it could grant his wish to become a true demon.
So, the reckless, impulsive young man that Logan saw in Inuyasha repeatedly challenged Kikyo, trying to seize the Shikon Jewel and use it to transform himself. But each time, Kikyo repelled him.
Through their battles, a strange bond began to form. Two lonely souls, by some twist of fate, found themselves drawn to each other.
This reminded Wolverine of his own brief and tender romance. The power of love was indeed mysterious—it had once eased his inner turmoil, made him embrace his sealed-away beast side, and even driven him to become a test subject just to avenge his beloved...
Similarly, Inuyasha, the reckless young fool, was also changed by the power of love. He gave up his obsession with becoming a true demon, willing to let the Shikon Jewel transform him into a human, so he could love Kikyo as one and be with her forever.
Logan couldn't help but crack a faint smile at this. The intense immersion made him feel as if he were reliving his own memories with Silver Fox. He thought the kid had done a lot of foolish things, but at least this time, he'd made the right choice.
But somewhere in the back of his mind, Logan recalled Erik's "advice": You may not go looking for trouble, but trouble will always find you!
It was true. He had once dreamed of a peaceful life with Silver Fox, not provoking anyone or causing any trouble, but in the end, trouble had come knocking anyway.
Through this experience, along with the surreal world of the quiz game, Wolverine gradually gained an understanding: his supernatural abilities were, in a way, a curse. But if he were to abandon his powers and his beastly strength, then when the next crisis came, how would he protect the precious life he'd fought so hard to build?
As Inuyasha and Kikyo made their vow and shared a tender gaze, Logan could sense something dark lurking in the background, creeping closer.
Sure enough, his suspicions were right. An unexpected event unfolded. Logan's perspective temporarily lifted from Inuyasha, allowing him to witness a demon's sinister plot. The demon transformed into Inuyasha's appearance and attacked the unsuspecting Kikyo, then took on Kikyo's form to assault Inuyasha.
The warm love they shared was shattered. Logan watched the tragedy unfold with his own eyes, bringing back painful memories of his own tragedy with Silver Fox—how sweet love was tainted by deceit and darkness.
The scene was painfully familiar. Of course, Wolverine wanted to warn Inuyasha and Kikyo, but at this moment, he was merely a spectator, unable to change anything.
In the end, Kikyo and Inuyasha were driven apart by this deception. A misunderstanding led Kikyo to release her sealing arrow, pinning Inuyasha to a tree, while she herself succumbed to her wounds and died...
"Damn that Naraku! That bastard, I'll tear him to pieces!"
Wolverine's eyes turned red with fury, his voice filled with a hoarse, angry growl. If he could manifest in the real world, he'd shred that conniving villain to bits with his sharp claws.
But instead, reflected in his dilated pupils, he saw Erik's mocking, amused face. Logan took a deep breath and retracted his claws. Looking around, he realized he had quietly returned to reality from that strange journey with Inuyasha.
He frowned, raising a hand to his head. When he touched his hair, he froze for a moment. Damn, did I just grow dog ears?!
"Hahaha…"
Erik was already laughing hysterically. "Logan, oh, I wish I had a mirror for you!, look at you! Though I have to say, those new ears are kind of cute. So, did you just turn from a wolf into a dog? Is this supposed to be a reward or a punishment?"
Logan's eyes widened, too shocked to even respond to Erik's taunts. His fingers trembled as he reached up and felt a soft, warm ear on either side of his head… Shit, they were surprisingly fluffy!
He did feel sympathy for Inuyasha's struggles. That young fool of a half-demon's tragic life and lost love struck a chord with Wolverine. But he couldn't accept his current look!
What a joke! He was Logan, the toughest guy around! What kind of tough guy has a pair of cute dog ears? How was he supposed to be intimidating like this?!
However, putting aside his appearance, Logan also noticed substantial changes within his body.
The half-demon bloodline had greatly enhanced his physical abilities and was perfectly compatible with his original powers, including his extraordinary healing and Adamantium skeleton. With a single thought, he felt he could shift forms—into a wolf… or rather, a big dog.
"Enough laughing, Erik! Just you wait, you're not getting off easy either!"
Logan bared his fangs in frustration at Erik's relentless laughter. Though with his new look, the intimidating vibe was somewhat softened by the occasional twitch of his dog ears, making him unexpectedly endearing.
Erik couldn't stop himself from laughing until his sides hurt, and at that moment, his name appeared on the screen, flashing brightly.
