In the video, Magneto's famous scene where he 'grabs' the submarine with one hand, as if performing a miracle, left countless viewers slack-jawed in amazement. Even those who had already learned about Magneto's powers through the quiz game couldn't help but be astonished once again.
Off-screen, Erik himself was particularly excited. He thought about his years of hard work and training, and also about the failed assassination that was exposed during the quiz game.
Back then, despite giving it his all and nearly drowning in the sea, he still couldn't stop Sebastian Shaw's submarine, which didn't even budge.
But after receiving training from Charles, in just a few short days, his abilities had improved this much!
He couldn't help but start fantasizing about the future. If he could now control massive objects like a submarine, what about even larger things? Aircraft carriers? Or even an entire planet?
At this moment, Erik Lehnsherr deeply realized the potential he held within himself, and it was impossible for him to remain calm.
Logan smacked his lips and remarked, "Gotta say, Charles really knows how to teach. He can dig deep into a mutant's abilities. 'Professor X' is a title that suits him."
Hearing this, Magneto sneered. He thought to himself, if he didn't have such great potential, it wouldn't matter how good of a teacher Charles was.
But he didn't bother to argue, as the video was fast approaching the most critical moment—time for revenge!
In the video, the enormous submarine slowly ascended into the sky under Magneto's control. Naturally, Shaw and his crew inside the submarine realized something was wrong.
Riptide, Janos Quested, opened the hatch and unleashed his powers, creating a tornado that swept toward Erik and their aircraft.
Luckily, Hank's excellent piloting skills allowed him to land the plane safely on a nearby island, preventing any casualties.
But next came close combat. Charles took on the role of command and control, staying inside the downed aircraft, making sure the relatively less powerful Mystique stayed with him for protection.
Meanwhile, Magneto, Beast, and Havok were responsible for attacking the submarine head-on. On Shaw's side, he sent out his own team to counter: Angel, Azazel, and Riptide.
As soon as the two sides met, Havok immediately unleashed a high-energy laser beam from his chest, sending Riptide flying. Azazel, however, used his teleportation ability to get close and launched a surprise attack from behind, slashing at Havok. Fortunately, Beast intervened in time to block the attack.
Azazel repeated the trick, using his tail to hook Havok while engaging Beast in a scuffle. He teleported the two of them high above the sea. Angel also flew over to join the fight.
At this point, Erik rushed toward the submarine. Without stopping, he lifted a steel plate from the submarine and used it to knock out the dazed Riptide again, while simultaneously opening a path into the submarine.
Charles, using his telepathy, guided him remotely, helping him search through the submarine. He was like Iron Man's AI but also served as a human radar.
Of course, Charles' greatest ability lay in his telepathy, which could silently take out opponents. However, his weakness was his relatively fragile body, like a high-damage but low-defense assassin, which is why he needed to work in tandem with Erik.
Magneto, focused on avenging himself against Sebastian Shaw, was finding it hard to remain calm. Following Charles' directions, he reached the center of the submarine, but Shaw was nowhere to be found. Instead, he saw the nuclear reactor's control system, and Charles immediately instructed him to shut it down.
Meanwhile, Beast, Havok, and Azazel were still tangled in their fight. The three of them eventually fell onto a U.S. Navy warship. During the brawl, Azazel teleported away with Beast, leaving Havok alone. Naturally, the heavily armed soldiers aboard the warship quickly surrounded him with guns pointed at him.
As Havok was now part of the "save the world" faction, he didn't want to cause a conflict with the authorities and raised his hands in surrender.
At that moment, Angel appeared. Not only could she fly, but she could also spit out firebombs from her mouth, acting like a human bomber. Although she and Havok had been brief teammates, she showed no mercy and attacked him without hesitation.
Her bombs had an area of effect, and while dodging, Havok made sure to warn the surrounding soldiers.
In the end, though, one of the bombs hit him, destroying the energy device on his chest. Without it, he could no longer guarantee his combat effectiveness. Angel maintained her aerial advantage, seeking the right opportunity for her next strike. At that moment, Banshee suddenly emerged from the sea, unleashing a sonic attack.
Both he and Angel had flying capabilities, and they immediately engaged in an intense aerial battle. However, compared to the relentless bomber that was Angel, Banshee's attack power seemed somewhat lacking, leaving him at a disadvantage.
The two weaved around the warship, chasing and dodging each other, leaving the soldiers and officers aboard the warship utterly stunned.
Clearly, many of them had no idea mutants existed until now, seeing with their own eyes that superpowers were indeed real.
On the other side, after shutting down the submarine's nuclear reactor, Erik searched the area but still didn't find Sebastian Shaw. Growing impatient, Charles used his telepathy to calm him. Just then, a hidden door suddenly opened, and Magneto turned his head, his eyes lighting up. "What a surprise."
Standing behind the secret door was, of course, the very person he had been seeking—Sebastian Shaw. Shaw showed no intention of coming out. Erik, emboldened by his skills and driven by his burning desire for revenge, stepped into the room. Throughout this, Charles kept calling out to him through telepathy, but received no response.
It was clear that when it came to dealing with Sebastian Shaw, Erik didn't want to compromise. He didn't want to listen to Charles' pleas to show mercy, so he simply ignored him. Perhaps there was also a bit of pride involved. Erik wanted to rely solely on his own strength to kill Sebastian Shaw and finally remove the heavy stone that had been weighing on his heart for decades.
Once Magneto stepped into the sealed chamber, the door shut behind him. The vacuum environment rendered Charles Xavier's telepathy ineffective, cutting off any communication with Erik.
