After the exposure of Sebastian Shaw, an evil and maniacal mutant leader, in the Quiz game, not only did it capture the intense attention of the players in the Eternal Space, but other viewers were also equally intrigued.
Until now, they had only just witnessed Sebastian Shaw's specific abilities, which turned out to be the absorption of any energy that attacks him. This ability not only renders him immune to physical attacks but also allows him to store the absorbed energy, seemingly enabling him to merge and utilise it to unleash immense destructive power!
In the video, despite being bombarded with a hail of bullets and even taking a direct hit from a rocket, Sebastian Shaw remained unharmed. With a smile on his face, he casually raised his hand, and a surge of energy instantly cleared the area. The flames and shockwaves destroyed everything around him, leaving him as the only one standing in the blink of an eye!
Outside the screen, Erik narrowed his eyes. With his keen perception, he could easily tell that the abilities of this nemesis who killed his mother were indeed extraordinary and difficult to deal with. His own powers were more focused on destruction, while Sebastian Shaw possessed both offensive and defensive capabilities. A direct confrontation might not go in his favour, but if Charles were to assist, with his subtle yet lethal telepathy and mental attacks, they should be able to take down the opponent.
Logan glanced at him and said in a deep voice, "Your friend can handle him."
Though Wolverine could be reckless at times, his tactical insight at this level was not lacking. After watching these future videos involving Erik, even though he hadn't agreed to Erik's recruitment, he was inclined to side with Erik and Charles as shown in the video. Sebastian Shaw's actions were highly repugnant to him.
Erik's gaze remained fixed on the screen as he coldly remarked, "I'll take care of him myself..." He repeated, "I will personally kill him!"
The tragic pain inflicted by Sebastian Shaw must be avenged by Erik himself. However, Erik wasn't so stubborn as to refuse any help. Whether in the video or in reality, he had already acknowledged Charles as a friend and comrade.
Back in the video, even though the CIA base was heavily guarded and staffed with numerous personnel, they were utterly defeated by the sudden attack of Sebastian Shaw and his two mutant subordinates. Originally a violent military institution, it had now turned into a bloody slaughterhouse. The heavily armed and well-equipped agents and soldiers had no chance of resisting against the supernatural powers of the mutants.
Meanwhile, Raven, Hank, and the other young mutants who had just been recruited were completely panic-stricken, not knowing what to do. Watching as two of their fellow mutants effortlessly slaughtered and even toyed with the lives of the living, they were utterly terrified.
In the end, these were a bunch of inexperienced and untrained young people. Compared to Sebastian Shaw and his two subordinates, even though Raven and the others had the numerical advantage, they were like fledglings, only capable of running for cover. Raven was so frightened that she screamed repeatedly and even burst into tears. Prior to this, she had always been cared for by Charles like a younger sister, and his meticulous protection had kept her from ever encountering such a brutal, bloody, and real scene.
Under the overwhelming power of Sebastian Shaw and his men, the CIA agents completely collapsed. Some, knowing that their target was the newly arrived group of mutants at the base, tried to save themselves by offering to lead the way, wanting to distance themselves from Raven, Hank, and the other mutants. This implied discrimination naturally infuriated Sebastian Shaw, who promptly killed them.
The bloody slaughter finally subsided, but by then, there were only a few survivors left in the large base. The Red Devil and Riptide blocked the terrified Raven and the others, while Sebastian Shaw pushed open the door and entered.
He looked around; Raven and the others were huddled together in fear. Clearly, they were all mutants and possessed supernatural powers, with the numerical advantage on their side. Yet, facing just three of Sebastian Shaw's men, Raven and the others were the true weaklings. If supernatural powers were like handguns, the same gun in the hands of a professionally trained soldier compared to a child who had never even held a gun or knew how to use one would result in vastly different levels of damage and lethality.
Now, Raven, Hank, and the others were like children holding a deadly weapon they didn't know how to use. They didn't even know how to protect themselves.
"Where's that telepathic boy?" Sebastian Shaw's indifferent gaze swept over them, noticing that Charles was not among them. Compared to these fledglings, he was obviously more concerned about their leader.
The Red Devil shook his head, and Sebastian Shaw said with some regret, "What a pity. But at least I can take off this stupid helmet."
The helmet on his head, made from some unknown material, did indeed look foolish. But why was it that he only took it off after discovering that Charles wasn't here?
Outside the video, Erik frowned, keenly aware of this issue. The foolish helmet was clearly designed by Sebastian Shaw to guard against enemies like Charles Xavier, who possessed telepathic abilities. He was cunning but also smart, and he had a helper by his side with similar telepathic powers—the White Queen, Emma.
So, he crafted this helmet specifically to defend against telepaths?
If that's the case, it would make it much harder for Charles to deal with this bastard, Erik thought with a frown. And if this future video really were to be broadcast globally, Sebastian Shaw would certainly be watching at this moment. This would essentially serve as a warning to him, making it even harder to take him down when I return!
As he pondered this, the Sebastian Shaw in the video, with a smile on his face, greeted Raven and the others, "Good evening, my friends. My name is Sebastian Shaw. A great revolution has already begun. When humanity discovers our identities and abilities, each of us will have to make a choice: become slaves, or turn the tables and rule over humans?"
With the foolish helmet removed, Sebastian Shaw exuded a confident and imposing aura. As he delivered his brief speech, he walked towards the panicked and disoriented Raven and the others. His confident and sharp gaze met each of theirs one by one. How could these fledglings possibly match up to this fierce tiger, They either averted their eyes or felt uneasy, completely suppressed by him.
