Just as he finished speaking, a woman suddenly appeared. Logan Howlett turned and widened his eyes, and Wolverine outside the screen did the same, recognizing the woman as his girlfriend, Kayla.

Kayla hadn't resurrected. She was never dead. It was all a ruse. Known as Silver Fox, she was a mutant with the ability to control others' minds through touch. She had been placed by William Stryker as an undercover agent beside Wolverine.
