Chapter 575 - Iconic Scene - Tearing Apart a Helicopter

Soon, the video on the light screen transitioned to the place where Logan Howlett underwent the human experiment. It was a secret research facility hidden deep within the mountains and forests. Logan was stripped naked and lay on a steel test bed, about to undergo an utterly inhumane experiment.

According to William Stryker and a military official, they would inject indestructible Adamantium alloy into Logan's body to completely replace his bones. During this process, countless injection needles, resembling electric drills, pierced through his flesh and penetrated into his bone marrow!

Watching this scene, many viewers couldn't help but gasp. It was too cruel, unimaginable how painful it must have been. The most horrifying part was that Logan Howlett hadn't been administered any anesthetic. This pain was far worse than any imaginable torment, making viewers' scalps tingle just at the thought!

Even Logan himself, upon revisiting this experience, couldn't help but show signs of pain despite his tough demeanor. Erik, on the other hand, looked at him appreciatively, saying, "You're a real man, Logan. I can't compare to you in this regard. But you should know, William Stryker values your extraordinary self-healing ability, which is the key to his 'X Project'!"

Logan Howlett snorted coldly in response. He was well aware that he was being used. Throughout this ordeal, he was continuously exploited, a reality he had almost become accustomed to.

In the video, Logan displayed his unyielding toughness, enduring the agony until his bones were completely replaced. Yet, even he nearly didn't make it, with his heart stopping momentarily, making William Stryker and the others think the experiment had failed. The audience, oblivious to the details, also held their breath in tension.

As ordinary viewers, they couldn't easily judge whether Wolverine was good or bad, or even human. Logan Howlett, though less ferocious than Victor, the Sabretooth, still had a strong beastly nature, more like a beast than a man!

Nonetheless, his resilience and misfortune made people sympathize and admire him, instinctively hoping he would overcome this ordeal.

Of course, smart viewers knew that Logan Howlett would ultimately survive, as the quiz game's questions had foreshadowed this. Even knowing this, they still felt tense.

Peter took a deep breath and exclaimed, "So brutal! This guy is hardcore! If it were me, I definitely couldn't endure this. God, just thinking about it hurts! I sincerely hope he survives; he's a man worthy of respect!"

Wanda added, "Yes, he's a tough guy burdened with vengeance. Who wouldn't want to avenge themselves fully? I'm curious though... how does Adamantium compare to Vibranium in terms of hardness?"

Perhaps because of Vision, Wanda was quite curious. The video mentioned that Adamantium seemed indestructible and expensive, similar to Vibranium.

Under their tense gaze, Logan Howlett, to everyone's relief, finally pulled through. His stopped heart started beating again, signifying the experiment's success.

William Stryker was ecstatic, immediately ordering the extraction of Logan's DNA to create new X weapons. Simultaneously, he planned to erase Logan's memory, turning him into a complete weapon.

Though speaking softly, Logan's beast-like keen senses picked up every word, even while submerged in the test tank. Furious, he erupted.

Indeed, Logan was willing to sell himself for revenge, but erasing his memory was crossing the line. No one would want to become a weapon without memory or consciousness.

Enraged, Wolverine extended his claws—this time, not bone claws, but gleaming Adamantium claws—and stood up in the tank, howling like an infuriated lone wolf. William Stryker's men, realizing the dire situation, decisively opened fire on Logan. However, Wolverine, with his enhanced healing ability, was unfazed by bullets.

Now infused with Adamantium, even a shot to the head caused no harm, the wound healing instantly. Like a furious lone wolf breaking free from its cage, Logan plunged into the crowd, slicing through elite agents and soldiers as if they were paper.

Despite the rampage, Logan remained rational, knowing this was the enemy's base. Instead of slaughtering mindlessly, he sought to escape. William Stryker, unwilling to lose his hard-earned test subject, ordered the base locked down immediately. Heavy, solid doors blocked the exit, but they were no match for Wolverine's claws. With a simple cross slash, he carved an 'X' into the door and kicked it open, escaping.

Seeing this, many viewers couldn't help but cheer, applauding the genuine tough guy. It was clear to anyone that William Stryker was a villain filled with malice, conducting inhumane experiments and deceiving the suffering Wolverine, showing no humanity at all.

After escaping, Logan Howlett rested temporarily at a farmer's home. The kind-hearted elderly couple warmly hosted him, but soon tragedy struck. William Stryker's men, still in pursuit, despite their official badges, acted more ruthlessly than terrorists. Knowing that guns couldn't harm Wolverine, they killed the elderly couple and even launched missiles at the farm, trying to blow Logan up!

This despicable act naturally failed. Logan ultimately rode out of the fiery explosion on a motorcycle. Yet, the pursuit did not relent, with both armed helicopters and armored vehicles blocking his way on land and in the air.

But they still were no match for Wolverine. Logan Howlett then delivered an iconic scene of taking down an armed helicopter bare-handed!

He leaped into the air, flying towards the low-hovering helicopter, and extended his indestructible claws. Without even needing to swing them, just raising them like a hot knife through butter, he effortlessly sliced through the helicopter's wings, causing it to crash.
