Chapter 566 - The Pitiful Harry Osborn

Wanda sighed and shook her head, "You're smart, Peter. You've already started worrying, haven't you? I don't want to come between you and your friend, but I would choose option A for this question!"

When someone's life is threatened, they often do irrational things and easily fall into a dark abyss, doing whatever it takes to survive. Wanda had seen the experiences of Spider-Man in another parallel universe. Even though the two parallel worlds weren't exactly the same, there was some reference value. In her opinion, it was highly probable that Harry Osborn and Spider-Man would turn against each other.

Peter Parker furrowed his brows and sighed deeply, "Can I choose this answer, Miss Wanda?"

Wanda looked at him, "Do as you please. If you insist on choosing B, I hope you don't rush to answer. That way, you might lose fewer points."

As soon as she finished speaking, the countdown for answering started. Peter Parker hesitated and did not press the button immediately, nor did Wanda, so the answering rights naturally fell to Team B.

Erik didn't hesitate at all and chose A right away. From his perspective, it was clear that Harry Osborn was the type who wouldn't stop until he achieved his goal. Even if Spider-Man gave him his blood, Harry might continue to push for further research on Spider-Man, so it was only a matter of time before the two would turn against each other.

The countdown ended, and the correct answer was announced:

[Congratulations to Team B for answering correctly. Players Erik Lehnsherr and Logan Howlett each earn 4 points!]

Peter Parker raised his hand to his forehead, muttering, "Oh my god, Harry..."

Wanda shook her head, "No one remains unaffected when faced with the threat of death. Your friend is still very young. He certainly doesn't want to die, and as long as there's a glimmer of hope, no matter how slim, he'll cling to it. Anyone who stands in his way, including you, will become his enemy."

Peter Parker looked helpless, "I will lose a good friend. If Harry could see these videos, would he change his mind?"

"Who knows?" Wanda shrugged, "From what I understand, in another parallel world, Harry Osborn sacrificed himself to save Spider-Man in the end."

Amidst their discussion, the screen started playing the video again. Peter Parker was very busy, investigating the truth about his parents and upgrading his web shooters. After fighting Electro, the web's conductivity had put him at a disadvantage, so he wanted to fix this flaw.

Interestingly, Spider-Man was learning how to improve his web shooters by watching some science videos online, experimenting in his small attic. Even at a young age, he showed the qualities of a self-taught science enthusiast.

The improvement of the web shooters was not going smoothly, and the investigation into his parents' truth was also lacking clues. Adding to this, his girlfriend Gwen was planning to study abroad, and his friend Harry Osborn's unreasonable demands were making Peter Parker feel pressured. Finally, he couldn't bear it anymore and went to see Aunt May, hoping she would tell him the truth about his parents' departure.

Aunt May was also under great pressure. Since Uncle Ben's death, the burden of supporting the family had fallen on her shoulders. Despite her age, she worked multiple jobs to earn money to send Peter Parker to college. She and Uncle Ben had no children of their own, treating Peter as their own son.

Now, Peter Parker's insistence on finding out the truth about his biological parents made Aunt May feel wronged and sad. But after Peter Parker's sincere comfort and conversation, she calmed down and slowly revealed the past.

It turned out that after Peter's parents left, government officials approached Uncle Ben and Aunt May, informing them that Peter's parents had stolen Oscorp's research results and confidential files, intending to sell them to foreign forces, thus committing treason!

Peter Parker shook his head repeatedly, angrily saying, "Impossible! How could my parents be traitors? This must be Oscorp's slander! Damn it, they're all bastards, turning black into white to cover up the truth!"

Wanda said, "I also believe your parents were good people, but the dead can't defend themselves. Even if they were alive, they wouldn't be able to fight against the powerful Oscorp. After all, in this country, the despicable and shameful rich people call the shots."

They watched the previously revealed videos of the quiz game and didn't believe Peter Parker's parents were traitors. Likewise, the video version of Spider-Man didn't believe it either but seemed unable to continue the investigation.

Spider-Man was still concerned about his friend Harry and took the time to see him in person, telling Harry Osborn that although he wanted to help him, he couldn't give him his blood because it was too dangerous. Besides the uncertainty of their blood compatibility, even if they were compatible, there could be more severe consequences.

The safe approach was to spend more time researching, but Harry Osborn was infuriated. He felt he was running out of time and couldn't wait, accusing Spider-Man of being a liar and watching him die, saying he was not the hero who saves people from danger.

Faced with his friend's accusations, Spider-Man felt very down and didn't argue much, leaving through the window. This incident left him very depressed, so he sought comfort from Gwen, but she was also preparing to leave New York for her studies. The thought of them parting ways made Peter Parker, who was already feeling down, feel even worse.

He returned home and, in his anger, smashed the calculator left by his father, only to find some hidden secrets inside. There were subway tokens pointing to a secret platform called Roosevelt Station.

Peter Parker immediately thought of his father's commuting route and, based on the clues from his investigation, guessed that his father must have left something at Roosevelt Station.

While Spider-Man was venturing out to uncover the truth, his friend Harry Osborn faced trouble. After Spider-Man's direct refusal and Oscorp's executives destroying the experimental spiders without his consent, it seemed his method of treating his terminal illness was entirely cut off.

Harry Osborn felt death approaching and became very depressed, drinking to drown his sorrows. His female assistant quietly told him that although the experimental spiders were destroyed, the executives had kept some spider venom for special projects.
