Chapter 533 - Has S.W.O.R.D. Also Been Infiltrated by Hydra?

In the video, S.W.O.R.D. is seen disassembling Vision's body into numerous parts, breaking it down for research in a cold-blooded manner that incited anger and disdain among the viewers.

"They treat Vision this way, so what about Captain America and Iron Man? Would they end up with the same fate?"

"Ha... What do you think? Captain America was a test subject from the start. Honestly, there are too many examples of the authorities conducting human experiments. They don't care about heroes."

"It's disheartening. Vision was willing to have his own lover kill him to prevent Thanos from getting the Mind Stone... From the beginning to the end, these people never regarded Vision as one of their own. They treat heroes like animals!"

"Tony Stark is dead, Steve Rogers has retired. If they were still around, they would never allow S.W.O.R.D. to do such a thing!"

At this moment, superheroes like Iron Man and Captain America, looking stern, obviously cannot accept S.W.O.R.D.'s actions in the video. Even in this timeline, where the chaos of a quiz game prevented Vision's birth, they have seen the future of the original timeline and know that Vision was a comrade-in-arms.

The fight was won, but not only was their comrade sacrificed, his body was sent to the lab, disassembled, and researched. This was utterly despicable!

Tony was the first to break the silence: "Damn that Fury, he owes us an explanation. S.W.O.R.D. is an organization he will build in the future. Maybe he has already preparing for it, researching Vision must have been approved by him!"

Steve sighed and shook his head: "Are we to hold him accountable for something that hasn't happened yet? It's actually pointless. Let's just be more careful from now on."

Clint patted Coulson on the shoulder: "What Fury did to you is essentially no different from what S.W.O.R.D. did to Vision in the video."

Coulson was lucky; he had won a Frozen Fruit in a quiz game, allowing him to transform into a frost man. Of course, due to physical limitations and perhaps other reasons, Coulson was far from reaching the level of the original Admiral Aokiji, but being immune to physical attacks allowed him to walk the Earth freely.

Naturally, Nick Fury, or rather S.H.I.E.L.D., was very interested in Coulson's abilities and subsequently launched a series of research projects. Coulson just silently served as a lab rat.

Now, he gave a forced, somewhat reluctant smile: "No, boss told me that my research could eventually save many people. After all, ordinary people are as vulnerable as paper when facing an alien legion."

Steve glanced at him and sighed: "When I participated in the human experiment, it was also in hopes of ending the war and chaos sooner, to save lives."

Everyone understands the grand principles, but what makes us human is our capacity for a wide range of emotions. We are stirred by noble ideals and hurt by cold realities.

Clerk then quietly said, "Steve, you and Coulson both volunteered for the research. Vision was dead, but they should have sought the consent of Vision's relative. Clearly, Wanda was unaware."

In the video, Wanda, upon learning of Vision's fate, stormed into the S.W.O.R.D. research base and took Vision's body.

The viewers could fully understand Wanda's actions. If it were them, those with a hot temper might have turned dark on the spot, possibly dismantling S.W.O.R.D. altogether.

In the Eternal Space, Wanda's eyes trembled. Although she is now alone, seeing herself in the video evoked a deep, empathetic sorrow.

Peter Parker whispered, "Miss Wanda, you truly are a gentle person."

On the other side, Logan felt even more empathetic after watching the video, as he had recently undergone a brutal human experiment himself, having all his bones replaced. Clenching his fists, he gritted his teeth: "The high and mighty attitude of these bastards is infuriating!"

Beside him, Erik had a stern face. As a mutant who awakened his powers at a young age, he had a similar experience. Though not subjected to laboratory experiments, his parents were killed to provoke and test his abilities.

"Logan, you should understand, this is a world where the strong prey on the weak. They never considered us as their own."

Erik's expression was cold, and he paused for a moment but decided not to voice the rest of his thoughts after glancing at Logan: There's no need for us to consider them as our own either.

The focus returns to the video. S.W.O.R.D. presumably deduced the truth about Westview, but facing Wanda's unique powers, they found themselves without a solution. Wanda, originally possessing telekinesis and mind control abilities.

But it wasn't enough to cause such a commotion. Perhaps it was because of the shock from Vision being dissected, so her powers has greatly increased. Now, she can even alter reality!

They were very worried. What if Wanda lost control again, could it cause an even bigger crisis?

At this point, naturally, some viewers felt that these people were utterly shameless. If it wasn't for your despicable actions, how would it lead to Wanda losing control?

Since it was too dangerous to directly enter Westview, and because objects from the outside world would be altered by reality once inside, S.W.O.R.D. came up with a plan. They found an old-fashioned drone that matched the time period of Westview, and they were able to enter safely and attempt to negotiate with Wanda. However, Wanda had no intention of reconciling with them.

At that moment, S.W.O.R.D. did something incredibly foolish. Director Hayward secretly added a little something to the drone—a missile!

S.W.O.R.D. Director Hayward believed that when negotiations with Wanda failed, forceful measures should be taken. This was a double insurance, and indeed very decisive, he simply ordered to fire.

Tony with his arms crossed over his chest, couldn't help but snort with laughter at this point: "Guess what score this idiot director would get on an IQ test? I suspect there's nothing inside his head at all!"

Bruce also shook his head and said, "Who gave him the courage to do this? According to the timeline, they should also be aware of Wanda's abilities, capable of standing up to Thanos face to face. Is this level of adversary something a missile can deal with?"

Natasha and others were also speechless. Even if Wanda was to be eliminated at all costs, at least bring your brain when planning the action. Not to mention devising a meticulous plan, at least remain calm and composed before being sure of killing Wanda. That's the most basic quality of an agent.
