Chapter 359 - Sanctum Sanctorum

They had all watched the future video from the normal timeline, knowing that before Thanos invaded Earth, the unfortunate Avengers were Thor and Doctor Banner.

The former drifted into space along with the fragments of the Asgardian refugee ship, while the latter was sent to Earth by Heimdall to sound the alarm.

When Doctor Banner fell into the Sanctum Sanctorum in New York, it signalled the imminent invasion of Earth by Thanos!

Tony Stark's proposal made sense, and the others didn't hesitate, heading directly to the Sanctum Sanctorum in New York.

In the normal timeline, the Sanctum Sanctorum was hidden in plain sight, concealed by magic. Even if someone knew the exact address, they couldn't find it.

But Tony Stark and the others had been to the Sanctum Sanctorum multiple times, so they knew the way.

When they arrived, the doors of the Sanctum were open, and it seemed like the owner inside had anticipated their arrival, as they had already lowered the magical barrier.

Bruce Wayne raised an eyebrow. "Strange has already detected us."

Tony Stark shrugged. "Supreme Sorcerer, knowing things that ordinary people don't is normal."

They entered in a single file, and sure enough, Doctor Stephen Strange, wearing his red cloak, was sitting in a chair, calmly looking at them.

Bruce Wayne asked, "Did Doctor Banner come here?"

Doctor Strange shook his head but asked a different question, "I had a strange dream last night, a dream about another version of me and all of you. After waking up, I had a feeling that something interesting would happen today, and here you are."

Bruce Wayne raised an eyebrow, "Wizard's dream prophecy?"

"Perhaps," Doctor Strange frowned. "Before I answer your questions, you need to answer mine: Why are you here?"

They exchanged glances, and Captain America stepped forward to negotiate.

"Stephen, what I'm about to say may sound strange, but please believe me, everything I say is true!"

Doctor Strange raised an eyebrow, "Let's continue this conversation elsewhere."

He gestured, and everything around them began to change. The simple meeting room turned into a spacious one, complete with tables, chairs, steaming cups of coffee, and some snacks.

Doctor Strange gestured for them to sit themselves and begin the conversation.

Tony Stark took a sip of coffee and said, "Honestly, you're more polite than the Stephen I know."

Doctor Strange raised an eyebrow, "I just don't want to waste time on meaningless things or people. Let's continue the topic."

Steve Rogers knew time was of the essence and explained their origins and purpose for being here.

Since their last time-travelling adventure, they had tested that as long as they didn't make drastic changes to the future, there wouldn't be any severe consequences. Their actions were closely tied to the mission.

Their mission was to save Spider-Man, which required confronting Thanos. Therefore, any changes they made to the future to achieve this goal were permitted by the quiz Game, and it wouldn't cause trouble.

Doctor Strange remained silent, not because he doubted Captain America, but because he was pondering the strange dream he had last night.

Dreams often held mystical significance for sorcerers, and last night's dream had been particularly peculiar. In the dream, another version of himself was teaching him magic, and he had glimpsed apocalyptic scenes.

Though the dream was somewhat hazy now, Captain America's description confirmed that those apocalyptic visions were real.

The strange dream from last night, coupled with the arrival of these guests from the past and another world, made it all seem too coincidental.

Bruce Wayne said sternly, "Alright, now that you understand what we're saying, we need to act immediately."

Doctor Strange snapped out of his thoughts and raised an eyebrow, "What do you need me to do?"

Bruce Wayne had already devised a plan during their journey and said, "We need to unite all available forces before Thanos invades Earth and protect the Infinity Stones that he hasn't obtained yet."

The plan wasn't overly complicated. Since they had arrived early, they could take advantage of this opportunity.

At this moment, Doctor Banner hadn't been transported to Earth yet, which meant Thanos hadn't attacked the Asgardian refugee ship. They could rescue Thor and obtain the Space Stone first.

However, time was running out, and they needed to act quickly. They would have to split up to accomplish their objectives. Saving Thor fell to Superman, who could freely navigate in space.

Additionally, Clark had the task of contacting the Guardians of the Galaxy to prepare them in advance.

But there was a problem: they didn't know the exact location of the Asgardian refugee ship. Based on the future videos from the quiz Game, they only had rough locations, and there was more than one. This meant Superman would need to make multiple trips.

Clark Kent, ready to depart, took off his coat, revealing his Superman suit. "Alright, I'll go now."

"Wait!" Steve Rogers called out, "Maybe we can bring Carol with you?"
