As the video played on the screen, the Endgame concluded with the Avengers' victory, but not without great sacrifices.
Black Widow sacrificed herself to obtain the Infinity Stones, Nebula 'sacrificed her own kin,' and Iron Man made the ultimate sacrifice to defeat Thanos and his alien army.
Regardless of the sacrifices, they successfully reversed the tragedy, defeated powerful foes, and saved and protected the world!
After the Endgame, Clint Barton finally reunited with his family, Scott Lang held his girlfriend's hand, and Spider-Man returned to school, embracing his friends. The Black Panther's family looked over the restored Wakanda with pride...
However...
"Everyone hopes for a happy ending, right? But reality doesn't always go as planned. Perhaps this time, I hope when you see this, you're celebrating! I hope families reunite, I hope everything goes back to normal, and I hope this planet returns to its rightful course... If possible, oh, how beautiful this world is, and the entire universe..."
"If someone had told me ten years ago that in the universe, we are not alone, not to mention what comes next, I might not have been so surprised."
"But then again, who can foresee all of this in advance? The powerful forces of light and darkness have revealed themselves, and whether the outcome is good or bad... that's something Morgan will have to explore for herself as she grows up."
While many families enjoyed their happy reunions, one family was preparing for a funeral.
Iron Man's mask sat quietly on a table, its visor displaying a prerecorded message from Tony Stark before embarking on a journey through time and space.
Perhaps his previous experiences of lonely wandering in space had given him these thoughts, prompting him to prepare his last words.
"I've recorded these in advance, just in case I don't make it. After all, for me, death is not an unexpected event. Tomorrow, we'll embark on time travel, and I can't help but worry if I'll make it out alive. But that's the duty of a hero, isn't it?"
"After the glory, there will eventually be a curtain fall. Why should I fret over it? Everything has its own rules... I love you 3000 times."
On the sofa, Pepper held her daughter's hand, her eyes welling up with tears, but also with a warm smile.
In the eternal space, Steve Rogers mused, "Is it the destiny of heroes to have their stories end after the glory? Tony said it well; he's always been this magnanimous."
Natasha Romanoff raised an eyebrow and smiled, "Maybe I should prepare a video like that too, so you all can have a good cry when the time comes."
Scott Lang blinked, "Uh, is that something superheroes are supposed to do?"
Steve Rogers shrugged, "Scott, you have to understand, that being a hero symbolizes not just power and glory but also responsibility and duty."
As a veteran superhero, the iconic American hero of the past and present, his words carried great weight.
Scott Lang scratched his nose, "Well, preparing a last message doesn't seem that bad, I guess!"
Before participating in this quiz game, he was just a prison inmate, and he didn't have strong feelings about the Avengers or superheroes. However, after watching this series of future videos, Scott felt a stirring emotion deep within himself. He realized that he, too, wanted to become a hero who could save the world, just like Captain America, Iron Man, and Black Widow!
Especially when he saw his future self becoming a key figure in saving the world and battling the forces of darkness, that sense of accomplishment was unparalleled.
On the other side, Tony Stark exclaimed, "My funeral is quite grand, isn't it? Everyone's here! Nick... he should have called Carol earlier. He always likes to keep a trick up his sleeve."
Thor looked at him in amazement, "You have a carefree attitude about this. This is your funeral, not someone else's."
"Well, what else?" Tony Stark shrugged, "I've known about my death since the first time we played this quiz game. Or rather, the job we have to do always goes hand in hand with death, right, Thor?"
Thor smiled, "Indeed, Tony, you seem like a qualified warrior now."
"Seem like? No, I've always been one!"
The funeral concluded quickly, and the scene shifted to Bruce Banner, Captain America, Winter Soldier, and Falcon working on a time machine in the forest.
After the Endgame, the threat of Thanos had been completely eliminated, and the final task was to return the Infinity Stones to their rightful places, along with Thor's hammer, Mjolnir.
Captain America was entrusted with this mission.
All six Infinity Stones were placed in a briefcase, which Bruce Banner handed to Captain America, reminding him, "Remember, these stones must be returned to the exact moments in time, or it will create multiple realities and a lot of trouble."
"Don't worry, Bruce, I've got this," Captain America assured him.
Bruce Banner added, "I tried before... when I wore the glove and used the Infinity Stones, I really tried to bring her back. I miss her so much."
He was referring to Black Widow.
Banner still had some lingering regrets about her.
Captain America looked at him, "I do too."
With everything in place, Steve Rogers was about to embark on his journey through time and space. Falcon approached him and said, "If you need me, I can go with you."
Steve declined his offer, saying, "Thank you, Sam, but this time, I'll do it alone."
Before leaving, Captain America had one more concern, and he specifically told the Winter Soldier, "Don't do anything foolish before I come back."
Bucky smiled because those were the same words Steve had said to him once when Steve was a skinny young man who needed his help. Now, the roles had reversed.
"How could I? You've done all the foolish things."
Bucky hugged his dear friend, and Steve Rogers could confidently step onto the time-travel platform, having changed into his time-travel suit.
Falcon curiously asked Bruce Banner, "How long will it take approximately?"
Bruce Banner, operating the machine, replied, "As long as he needs, but for us, it'll be five seconds."
Then he began the countdown, and everything went smoothly. Steve Rogers was transported away, and Bruce Banner started counting down for his return.
However, when the countdown reached zero, the platform was empty.
