After Captain America received his new nickname, the screen presented the next question:
[In the Avengers' time-travel mission, who would permanently lose his/her life due to collecting the Infinity Stone]
[A: Clint Barton
B: Rocket Raccoon
C: Natasha Romanoff
D: Scott Lang]
Seeing this question, several players from the Eternal Space couldn't help but look serious. In the future videos revealed earlier, they could see some problems, more or less.
For example, the chubby Thor and Tony Stark, who had retired from the heroics era, and others. However, it was still a hopeful future. The Avengers not only defeated the ruthless Thanos but also came up with a way to gather the Infinity Stones through time travel to repair the damage caused by the battle against Thanos.
Natasha sighed, "I thought their time-travel mission would go smoothly until just now. I didn't expect that someone would still pay the price for it."
Scott Lang gazed at his name on the screen and said, "Time travel is inherently dangerous. Future Tony also warned us about that. And finding the Infinity Stones is not an easy task."
Steve Rogers said, "The question is clear: someone will lose his or her life permanently due to the Infinity Stones. Finding the three Infinity Stones on Earth shouldn't pose much danger. As for the one in Asgard, that should be fine too. The problem might arise with the Power Stone and the Soul Stone."
Natasha pondered, "If I remember correctly, in the original timeline, Peter Quill obtained the Power Stone on a desolate planet, right?"
"Yes, the Power Stone was sealed in the Orb in the cosmic sphere, and Peter Quill played the role of a saviour for that. Rocket Raccoon witnessed this event and would surely share this information with our future selves."
Steve Rogers rubbed his nose and analyzed, "The Power Stone isn't hard to find as long as we get it before Peter Quill. I suspect the issue lies with the Soul Stone! We've seen a lot of future videos related to the Infinity Stones, and the other five stones have their origins, but this Soul Stone is very mysterious.".
Scott Lang shrugged, "Well, even if there's an issue with the Soul Stone, we can't predict who will acquire it."
Natasha gave him a knowing look, "By the process of elimination, Rocket Raccoon and Thor went to Asgard, and you were with Captain, Tony, and Dr Banner during the New York battle. So, the answer to this question should be between me and Clint."
Based on Steve Rogers' recent analysis, that seems to be the conclusion.
Scott Lang looked at her with surprise, "Wow, doesn't this mean you can see your death prediction? Oh, sorry, that might be an insensitive thing to say..."
Natasha smiled and waved it off, "No, it's nothing. From the beginning of my career, I knew that something would happen sooner or later. Death isn't something to be afraid of."
Steve Rogers sighed, "It would be a shame if it happened before dawn... I recall that when Thanos got the Soul Stone, he sacrificed his adopted daughter, Gamora, right?"
Natasha Romanoff nodded, "Yes, the Soul Stone might be directly linked to the soul, perhaps requiring a sacrifice?"
Scott Lang asked, "So how should we choose for this question? A or C?"
Natasha smiled and said, "Let's choose C. I can't analyze any valuable information, but I have a gut feeling. You can call it a woman's intuition."
Steve Rogers looked at her for a moment and nodded silently.
On the other side, Tony Stark also finished speaking, "Listen, Thor, no matter who among us gets the chance to answer, we should choose... C, alright?"
What Steve Rogers could think of, Iron Man could think of too. Although he didn't have a woman's intuition, sometimes a man's intuition could be quite useful, couldn't it?
Thor nodded, and Nebula spoke up, "I can also answer."
Tony Stark had initially wanted to refuse, but he thought it over. She was already confirmed as their future comrade, and now that she showed a willingness to cooperate, it wasn't a bad thing. With more people answering, the chances of success would be higher.
So he agreed, "Alright, but you have to listen to me!"
Nebula glanced at him, then nodded.
After adapting to their roles as players and watching so many future videos, she made her decision. She had to seize this opportunity to gain her precious freedom!
Since her future self had already 'switched sides' and was living a more comfortable and free life, why shouldn't she make a change now?
Soon, the screen displayed the countdown for answering. Team A immediately pressed the answer button, while Team B stuck to the old rule, letting Natasha answer.
The right to answer fell into Nebula's hands. Tony Stark grinned, "Don't hesitate, just choose C, Nebula!"
Nebula promptly selected C. She was well aware that to break free from Thanos' control through this quiz game, they needed to win this game!
Team B also chose option c, and soon the correct answer was revealed:
[The answer is — c: Natasha Romanoff.]
[Congratulations to Team A for getting a quick answer. Players Tony Stark, Thor Odinson, and Nebula receive 4 points]
[Team B answered the question correctly, and players Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanoff, and Scott Lang earned 1 point]
Scott Lang widened his eyes, exclaiming, "They cheated, all three of them answer the question!"
Steve Rogers simply shrugged, "In the quiz game, there's no rule specifying that only one person can answer. Each of us has a button in front of us."
At the start of the quiz game, they were reminded that in the team competition mode, each team could only have one player answering the question. However, there was no restriction on the number of people who could answer. Team A decided to answer together because of some initial disunity in the team, and it wasn't until they answered a few rounds and built some teamwork that they decided to combine their efforts.
Natasha Romanoff suggested, "Let's answer the next question together."
Following the question, the scoreboard was displayed on the screen. Currently, Team B was in the lead with 14 points, while Team A closely followed with 11 points. The gap between the two teams wasn't significant.
.
In the next question, if Team A could score again, they would be able to overtake Team B.
Scott Lang exclaimed, "We already have 14 points? We're accumulating points faster than the last round!"
