Chapter 315 - Who's the Coward Who Flees in Battle?

At this moment, the video continued to play on the screen.

After Captain America, Iron Man, and the others landed safely, they returned to their original attire. Steve, holding his shield, suggested, "We split up, two Infinity Stones, one in the Upper East Side, and one in the Lower West Side. Act inconspicuously and time it carefully!"

As he was saying this, a battle erupted on the street outside.

The raging Hulk descended from the sky, using a car as a weapon to smash the alien soldiers. He hadn't even finished pounding them into mincemeat when he jumped onto a pile of scrap metal and bounced a couple of times.

Fortunately, the Hulk in his furious state didn't notice Steve and his team.

Steve and the others all turned to look at Doctor Banner, who was wearing an oversized tank top. Faced with their gazes and expressions, he somewhat awkwardly covered his face. The current him was a gentleman who minded his manners.

Captain America suggested, "How about you smash some things too, get into the mood, warm up?"

The Hulk they remembered should still be the one who rampaged and was extremely furious. His current refined appearance felt out of place no matter how you looked at it.

"I don't think it's necessary, but... ."

Doctor Banner shed the small tank top from his body, ran onto the street, and let out a couple of roars. However, he lacked the wild momentum that Hulk had just displayed. He casually picked up a small motorcycle from the roadside and tossed it aside.

Seeing this, Thor chuckled, "Ha, he looks even more awkward now!"

Natasha also said, "If I recall correctly, in the normal timeline, Doctor Banner used a small motorcycle to get to the battlefield. Could this be the same one?"

Steve Rogers shrugged, "Since our future selves have travelled back to this point, everything has changed irreversibly."

In the video, the bustling New York was under heavy alien attack. Alien ships shuttled through the air, firing at will.

However, in such a complex battlefield environment, it was indeed suitable for a group of time travellers to mix in. Doctor Banner took the opportunity to jump onto the rooftop of the New York Sanctum.

He was about to push open the rooftop door when he heard a calm voice from behind, "Be careful where you step, the floor has just been waxed."

Doctor Banner turned around and saw a bald woman in a yellow robe looking at him leisurely. This bald woman was none other than the Ancient One.

Doctor Banner was straightforward and stated his purpose, "I'm looking for Doctor Strange."

The Ancient One looked at him and asked, "You're about five years too early. Right now, Doctor Strange is performing surgery twenty blocks away. What do you want with him?"

Natasha raised an eyebrow, "The Ancient One seems to have foreknowledge of some future events. Why didn't she foresee that Doctor Banner would come looking for her?"

Steve Rogers shook his head, "If I remember correctly, in the previously revealed future, the Ancient One would pass away before Thanos attacked. Her ability to see the future might not extend that far."

Scott Lang curiously asked, "The Ancient One? Is she powerful?"

Natasha glanced at him, "You'll find out soon."

In the video, Doctor Banner didn't say much. He simply pointed at the Eye of Agamotto hanging on the Ancient One's chest and said he needed that.

The Ancient One politely refused, "No, I can't give it to you."

Doctor Banner shrugged, "I'm sorry, but I didn't intend to negotiate with you."

The Ancient One shook her head, "You will regret this."

Doctor Banner said, "You're right, I might regret it, but I need that Infinity Stone!"

As he spoke, he approached the Ancient One. Doctor Banner, in his massive Hulk form, was towering and enormous. Compared to him, the slender Ancient One seemed fragile, making people worry that he might knock her out with a single punch.

Doctor Banner couldn't resist trying to grab the Eye, but before he could touch the Ancient One, she raised her hand and struck his chest, sending him flying.

Not only did the oversized Doctor Banner get sent flying with a single palm strike, but a smaller, normal-sized Doctor Banner also flew out from his body.

The smaller version of Doctor Banner was his soul, while his body lay motionless on the ground.

In his soul state, Doctor Banner looked at his own body in amazement, feeling somewhat panicked about this out-of-body experience.

The Ancient One smiled slightly, "Shall we start from the beginning?"

"Wow, wow! That was amazing!" Tony Stark applauded. "See, Thor, sometimes brute force isn't everything!"

Thor chuckled, "You don't understand. She used the power of magic... Of course, I must admit her magic is indeed impressive. She truly deserves the title of the Ancient One."

The title of the Ancient One was worthy of respect even in Asgard and in the eyes of King Odin. Thor certainly didn't underestimate her.

Kamar-Taj.

The group of sorcerers were quite delighted. Seeing the display of the Ancient One's skills, they felt their faces light up. However, some also noticed something unusual. They whispered, "The Ancient One seemed to know about Doctor Strange for a long time, but when she recruited him, it was like she didn't know him at all?"

Mordo, passing by, coughed twice loudly, "What are you muttering about? The Ancient One surely has her reasons!"

Stephen Strange, in an odd expression, stared at the Ancient One. He wondered if there was some secret behind the injuries he had received.

"Ancient One..."

He had just raised his head when the Ancient One interrupted him, hands behind her back, and said, "I have something to attend to, you take a look first."

Leaving this sentence behind, she disappeared.

Stephen Strange was stunned. He hadn't expected the respected Ancient One to use such tactics?

He then chuckled and said, "Unbelievable."

At this point, the video on the screen paused once again, presenting a new question, [In the mission to search for the Infinity Stones through time and space travel, who among the following options would flee in the face of danger]

[A: Thor Odinson

B: Nebula

C: Natasha Romanoff

D: Clint Barton]

"Flee in the face of danger?" Thor saw this question and immediately scoffed, "I can't be an option for this? Let's rule out option A right away!"

Tony Stark glanced at him, "Is that so? But I don't think so. If it were before, alright, I'll admit this guy, apart from brute force, was also brave. But that chubby fellow... Sorry, I don't have much confidence in him."

"Huh? Are you kidding me? Don't forget, in the future, I killed Thanos!" Thor widened his eyes and loudly retorted.
