The first question in the new round of the quiz game immediately dropped a bombshell - the death of Thanos.
Natasha's gaze shifted between Thor, Steve, and Tony, and she said with some difficulty, "Banner isn't here right now, so I think this question should be chosen from among the three of you. But who should we choose specifically?"
Tony Stark chuckled, "Natasha, we're here to compete against each other. You discuss your strategy, and we'll discuss ours."
Scott Lang said, "No need for that, and is there some kind of barrier here? We can hear each other's conversations, so we can't discuss in private."
Steve Rogers shrugged, "During team answers, we'll be separated."
As soon as he finished speaking, a golden light barrier rose, separating Team A from Team B. This way, they could talk and strategize without worrying about eavesdropping from the other side.
Indeed, neither side could hear the conversation from the opposite team.
Tony Stark raised an eyebrow, "Looks like we can't mislead them. Thor, how do you plan to answer this question?"
Thor looked at him, and then confidently said, "Of course, it's option A! Our future selves fought against Thanos, and I am sure that it would be me who killed that madman!"
In the previously revealed footage of Thanos in the quiz game, various superheroes took turns to battle him, but none could stop him. It's not that they were weak; Thanos was just too powerful.
Among the four options in this question, Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man, and their battles against Thanos all ended in defeat. Only Thor showed remarkable performance, coming close to defeating Thanos with his Stormbreaker.
"Yes, I admit I made a fatal mistake in the future. I didn't cut Thanos's neck, but if I were given another chance, trust me, I would have chopped his head off!" Thor said through gritted teeth.
Tony Stark nodded, "Alright, Thor, I'll vote for you too. Nebula, did you hear that? You don't need to think too much about this question. Just follow us and choose A. Of course, if we can buzz in first, that's even better."
Nebula remained silent, her expressionless face leaving everyone wondering what she was thinking, or if she even had a brain.
On the other side, after some discussion, Steve Rogers and his team also agreed that the answer to this question was A, with no suspense.
So, when the countdown for answering began, both sides coincidentally pressed the buzzer simultaneously. Natasha Romanoff from Team B managed to buzz in successfully, representing Team B in answering.
She didn't hesitate and chose A directly.
[Team A's answer is given by player Thor Odinson."]
Tony Stark heard the reminder from above and raised an eyebrow, saying, "It seems this answering mode is more team-oriented. Thor, let me handle buzzing in next time!"
Thor shrugged, first choosing A for the answer and then saying, "No, I think it's better if I do it!"
Tony Stark couldn't help but laugh at the confidence of this muscle-bound man. If it were about brute strength, Tony Stark admitted he was no match for Thor without his Iron Man suit. But did a quiz game require brute strength? No, it required intelligence.
"You musclehead, you've practically trained your muscles into your brain," Tony thought, but he didn't bother arguing. It was just the first question; they would understand who to listen to when they got some answers wrong and lost points later.
Compared to the chaotic Team A, Team B, consisting of Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanoff, and Scott Lang, was having a harmonious time.
Steve Rogers praised Natasha with a smile, "Well done, Natasha. It seems luck is on your side today. For the next questions, we'll have you represent us. Scott, what do you think?"
Scott Lang shrugged, "I don't mind, as long as we get the answers right. I've already lost once; I don't want to lose again!"
Natasha also smiled, "Alright, I can only promise to do my best. Let's watch the answer video now. I think everyone is looking forward to it."
In the previously revealed quiz game footage, Thanos was nearly unbeatable. How had Thor managed to defeat him?
At this moment, countless viewers watching the live stream had their eyes wide open, and even the noisy discussions had ceased.
Soon, the screens set up all around began playing the video of Thanos's death.
In the video, a familiar spaceship approached a planet. Captain Marvel was the first to exit the spaceship and announced to the people on board, "I'll go for reconnaissance."
Shortly after, she flew alone towards the planet.
Inside the ship, Black Widow, and Captain America, sat in the pilot's seats. Steve looked at a photo of his girlfriend, Peggy Carter, seeming prepared for the possibility that he might not return.
This was quite normal, as they were about to face Thanos!
Natasha encouraged, "We will succeed, Captain."
Steve Rogers said firmly, "I know, because, besides success, I have no other choice."
In the blink of an eye, Captain Marvel returned and reported, "No satellites, no ships, no armies, and no ground defences. There's only him alone..."
Tony Stark sneered, "If Nick had called her earlier, maybe we wouldn't have had to wait until after the fact to seek revenge on Thanos."
Thor glanced at him, "Who would have thought that Nick knew such a formidable female warrior?"
Nebula, however, frowned because she noticed in the video that she was also with this group of Earthlings!
