Chapter 292 - Haggard Tony

At the end of the video, Loki, in the headquarters, saw a statue of Kang and was momentarily stunned.

Outside the video, Tony Stark and others were equally surprised.

Scott Lang widened his eyes, "Wait, I haven't figured this out yet. Didn't he already die? How come his statue is standing at the headquarters?"

They had seen Sylvie stab Kang to death, so logically, the mastermind behind Time Variance Authority should have perished with him.

But the results were completely different from what they expected. The timeline remained intact, and the statue of Kang stood tall as if Sylvie's actions were nothing more than a farce!

Tony Stark raised an eyebrow, "Well, this ending is indeed unexpected. Sylvie killed the he who remains, but at the same time, she unleashed all the timeline branches, opening up a multiverse. Clearly, the Loki in the video is no longer in the same spacetime universe he was in before. In other words, he crossed over silently, or maybe it's not him who crossed over, but the world?"

Hank Pym pondered, "If we look at this question from a multiverse perspective, even if Sylvie killed the One Who Remains, it wouldn't collapse and disintegrate, just as the One Who Remains said, it's all a cycle! He lives, it continues to run, he dies, the timeline is released, and the multiverse opens up. His variants will also appear, essentially repeating what he did. And this is why, when he was dying, he told Sylvie that she would see him again."

Nick Fury shook his head and sighed, "It seems that Loki and the others have gone through another failure. Everything they did seemed to have no meaning. Maybe Loki was right, Sylvie shouldn't have killed the One Who Remains."

Despite the whimsical appearance of Kang, who died at Sylvie's hands, he wasn't necessarily an entirely evil person.

Compared to him, his variants in other parallel timelines were probably like madmen, similar to someone like Thanos.

"No!" Loki glanced at him, "Whether it's me or what Sylvie did, it certainly has meaning. Sylvie has opened up a brand new era, and I am destined to be the protagonist of this new era!"

Tony Stark shrugged, "Heh, now all intelligent beings know that you're the ultimate narcissist, so there's no need to show off in front of us."

At this point, the screen displayed the latest score rankings. Tony Stark was in the lead with 10 points, Scott Lang was second with 4 points, Loki Laufeyson was third with 3 points, and Nick Fury and Hank Pym were at the bottom with 1 point and 0 points, respectively.

Tony Stark laughed, "Haha, it looks like I've locked in the victory. Guys all of your time is running out. Work harder. Nick, give it your all, if you can beat Loki down, you'll make it to the winners' group!"

Scott Lang was also somewhat pleased, "I never thought I'd get second place! Honestly, if there were a few more questions in the middle that I could answer my way, maybe I'd be the first!"

From initially being at the bottom to climbing to second place, Scott Lang was understandably proud.

Hank Pym's mood wasn't as high anymore. He sighed, "My luck isn't too good. I answered quite a few questions, but I still didn't score a single point. I've never thought that I would perform so poorly in a quiz game like this!"

As a naturally gifted scientist, Hank Pym was usually adept at tests and assessments. However, participating in this quiz game resulted in a disastrous score.

His luck was indeed quite bad. He answered over ten questions, and his accuracy was actually above 50%, but unfortunately, none of the questions he answered correctly were worth points for buzzer rounds.

Finally managing to buzz in and answer, he still got it wrong, which meant that his hard-earned points were deducted in one go.

Scott Lang tried to reassure him with a smile, "Don't worry, you still have a chance. As long as you score points in the upcoming buzzer rounds, you can catch up quickly. I believe you can do it!"

Nick Fury raised an eyebrow, "Tony's right; we don't have much time left. This quiz game is nearing its end."

He was slightly better off than Hank Pym. With just one point, the gap to enter the winners' group wasn't too large. However, to catch up and make it into the winners' group, he needed to take risks and answer more questions, which also required some luck.

Of course, among the players, Loki was probably feeling the worst. He had briefly held the top spot on the scoreboard before, but his good fortune didn't last long.

He had just answered a question incorrectly in the buzzer round, which resulted in a loss of 4 points and dropped him to third place in the winners' group, burying what had been a promising situation.

Silently glancing at Nick Fury and Scott Lang, Loki thought that he had to seize the upcoming questions. Being in the winners' group was necessary, but was that all he wanted?

After watching the relevant videos, Loki had undoubtedly been deeply moved. Although he hadn't experienced those events firsthand, as an observer, he could see more clearly. At the same time, he had gained insights.

"Now, from this moment on, I not only have to compete with these guys but also with countless versions of myself! I have to be the most powerful Loki among all!"

He smiled at Tony Stark, "Don't rush; the game isn't over yet. If I can beat you once, I can beat you a second time!"

Tony Stark shrugged, "Well, I'll be waiting for you."

After displaying the scoreboard for a while, the writing slowly faded away, replaced by a new question: [This question is 'watch first, then answer.' A video is about to play. Please watch it carefully. After the video finishes, a corresponding question will be asked]

In the flickering light, a new video began.

The camera first showed a vast and desolate expanse of outer space, with a spacecraft quietly cruising.

"Is this Peter Quill's ship?" Nick Fury squinted his eyes.

They had seen the previous videos about Star-Lord, so they recognized this ship.

Loki looked around, "Too bad Peter isn't here. He would have loved to participate in another quiz game, but clearly, luck wasn't on his side."

At this moment, the camera switched to the interior of the ship, where only Tony Stark and Nebula were present, playing a small game at a table.

"When is this happening?" Nick Fury raised an eyebrow. "The Tony in the video looks quite haggard."
