In the video.
Sylvie furrowed her brow and asked, "So why did we come here?"
She didn't understand why this person was doing this. What was his true purpose?
And this was also what other viewers were curious about.
The guy spread his hands, seeming to find the question silly. "Come on, you should know that without self-transformation on the journey, you can't reach the destination at all!
Some things have to happen, everyone needs the right mindset for the mission to succeed."
Loki stared at him. "All of this is manipulation from behind."
In the eternal space
Tony Stark crossed his arms, raising an eyebrow. "Interesting, it seems like there's going to be a big twist in this hero vs. villain drama. Loki and the challenges he's faced, all of it has become a test in his mouth."
Nick Fury pondered, "This man seems to want to recruit Loki."
Scott Lang exclaimed, "I thought that the puppet master behind the scenes must be a rotten scoundrel to the core, but now I can't make sense of it."
The real show is yet to come.
After stunning Loki and Sylvie, the guy began to explain himself or reveal the real truth to them.
"I know what I do might go against morality," he admitted. "Yes, my methods do involve deception, but the mission is real.
Without me, everything will be destroyed!"
It turns out that this man has many titles and identities, such as ruler and conqueror, much like Loki. He also has many versions of himself in parallel timelines.
One of them is a scientist from 31st-century Earth who discovered the existence of the multiverse. Meanwhile, other versions of Kang from various multiverses became aware of this as well.
They started communicating with each other, some peacefully and friendly, exchanging knowledge and technology to help their parallel worlds develop together.
But there were also ambitious Kangs who saw the multiverse as a conquest target. Thus, the peaceful exchange and development turned into a full-scale war across the multiverse.
Every Kang from parallel timelines, whether by force or willingly, got involved in this chaotic, never-ending war, pushing the entire universe, or rather the multiverse, to the brink of collapse.
Then, the original Kang, the one in front of the two Lokis, found a creature capable of devouring time and space, the same creature Loki encountered in the Void - Alioth.
This original Kang tamed it and turned it into a weapon to end the chaos and endless wars of the multiverse!
Afterwards, he established the Time Variance Authority to regulate the timelines.
Kang continued his tale, jumping onto a table, and gesturing animatedly. Finally, he looked at the two Lokis and said, "You thought you were here to defeat an evil man, right? Well, guess what, I'm here to protect you! If you think I'm evil, just wait until you meet the other versions of me, then you'll understand."
He claimed that he had lived millions of times, experienced every possibility, and ultimately proved that his existence, while flawed, was effective.
And this, is the ultimate truth of everything?
Sylvie remained sceptical, "Perhaps you're just a trickster!"
Kang shrugged, "Maybe I am a trickster, this is a gamble."
Off-screen, Nick Fury shook his head, "Who would have thought it would end like this? I don't think he's lying; this might be the ultimate truth."
Scott Lang said, "So, this Kang and all the Kangs are actually good?"
Tony Stark chuckled, "No, don't be so naive, pal. In so many parallel timelines and variations, this guy is the last survivor. He just chose the method that suits him best. He's a clever one, a selfish clever one, but definitely not a good person."
In the video, after revealing the truth, Kang didn't do what some villains might do, like killing the heroic Avengers to make a point. Instead, he gave Loki and Sylvie two choices:
Either kill him, which would release the multitude of Kang variants and the Alioth he had bound, unleashing chaos upon the multiverse.
Or take on the responsibility themselves. In other words, the two Lokis could take over the mantle, and if they thought he was doing a bad job, they could shape it the way they wanted.
From the beginning, Kang seemed to be paving the way for them, a hint he dropped during their trial.
But when he genuinely offered to hand over the power to control time and space to the two Lokis, it was still surprising.
It's a power that's undeniably immense, the ability to fully control the fate of others. Who would willingly give that away?
The normal reaction would be: this guy is lying!
In the video, Loki seemed to share this sentiment. However, Kang said he was tired. He'd been in this position for too long, lived for far too long, and looked much older than he appeared.
In other words, he wanted to retire!
This reason might be somewhat casual, but the temptation was very real and right in front of the two Lokis.
He also mentioned that he had been searching for an heir for a long time but hadn't found the right one until their arrival.
So, this guy stopped pretending and directly appointed the two Lokis as his chosen successors.
Tony Stark saw this and laughed, "What's this? A group of con artists nurturing the best scammer? I can't accept the idea of Loki in charge of anything!"
Loki, on the other hand, chuckled, "The God of Mischief in charge of others' destinies, that makes sense, doesn't it? Stark, don't get too full of yourself; just because you became a superhero doesn't mean you can save the world."
Tony Stark spread his hands, "I'm pretty sure I can do a better job than any variant of you!"
Loki shrugged, "Too bad, the protagonist isn't you; it's me."
"he must be blind for choosing you," Tony Stark huffed.
Kang handed over the choice to the two Lokis. During this process, there was a small incident. The castle located at the end of time for some reason heard thunderclaps.
The Kang, who had just been talking non-stop, suddenly fell silent, his eyes darting around in apparent unease. "We just crossed the threshold."
Then he laughed again, "I lied. I said I knew everything; I was lying. I know that I once knew everything up to a certain point. That point was about seven, eight, nine, ten seconds ago"
