A week later Alexander was discharged from the hospital and returned to work.
In addition to working at the café, he also practiced, read books, and researched every bit of available information.
Meanwhile, Victoria hired a healer to help her explore her new abilities.
The teacher, of course, was a woman. Victoria did not like the presence of men other than Alexander.
The aforementioned man was now at the training ground, which could be rented for an inexpensive price if you were a practitioner.
Here were the same practice swords as Alexander had at home. He was repeating movements he had already practiced quite well.
However, his movements lacked zeal and it looked as if he was just following a pre-determined script.
Alexander stopped and looked at his sword. In any case, Alexander felt that the sword was no match for him.
Rather, he was more comfortable fighting in close combat or using magic. But as for her...
Alexander frowned as he felt his body grow hotter.
"Fire magic, huh? I certainly wasn't expecting that."
Each creature naturally has different magic. Often the magical element is chosen based on the character of the awakened one.
But, of course, this is not absolute. There are situations, as with Victoria, when magic is awakened because of strong desires.
Alexander walked over to the training doll and launched it. Instantly, the doll's eyes glowed red.
The doll jumped onto the training sparring platform and froze, waiting for Alexander. He didn't take long to reach for the doll.
"Training fight request detected... Confirmed." The doll spoke and picked up a claymore-like training sword.
"Please attack."
Despite his slight surprise, Alexander immediately attacked the doll with his bare hands, but the doll easily blocked the blow.
Alexander set it up so that the doll's level is at D level. Therefore, it would take a lot of effort for him to win.
The doll naturally attacked back. Alexander dodged it, but it was very sloppy.
As he regained his balance, the doll struck him in the back, knocking Alexander to the edge of the court.
Alexander clenched his teeth and tried to create a small burst of energy to rise.
Fish...
It didn't work, however. Instead of the usual magical energy, fire energy came out.
And as if that wasn't enough, the fire burned Alexander as he had no control over the spell.
Bang!
Alexander crashed into the bulkhead of the platform with a violent rumble.
Of course, intense pain followed, but he ignored it. After regaining control, Alexander sighed.
The doll had not attacked all this time, waiting for Alexander's action.
Five minutes later, he finally figured out how to use this new combination.
Having strengthened his fire with a new burst of magical energy, Alexander rushed at the doll. It immediately went into combat mode.
Alexander swung his fist and struck the doll's belly. Immediately there was a hissing sound and the smell of burning.
The doll was designed to be as human-like as possible. Therefore, burns are also present.
Alexander jumped back, dodging the doll's impact. He saw it recoil and grab its stomach.
Through this action, Alexander found the right timing and jumped forward, speeding up with each step.
A second later, he appeared in front of the doll and punched her in the jaw, knocking her back upward.
The doll flipped in the air, but thanks to the spells built in, it was able to mimic the magic of the air.
Wrapping wind magic around its own body, the doll changed its flight path and descended on Alexander at high speed.
The wind whistled and the wooden sword fell on the head of Alexander, who did not have time to react.
"Ugh!"
Alexander felt intense pain and a ringing sound in his ears. He was distracted from the battle, causing the doll to easily strike him in the stomach, knocking him backward.
Turning over on the ground like a ball, Alexander clenched his teeth and rested his hands on the floor, bouncing.
He got to his feet, but the doll didn't let him rejoice for long. Another wind whistle sounded next to Alexander's ear.
This time he was able to dodge it.
Squatting down, Alexander easily dodged it, but immediately the sword changed direction. It was a trap!
The initial horizontal lunge became a vertical one, falling on Alexander's head.
He regained his composure and put his hands behind his back and fell, using them as a support.
In the next step, he kicked the doll's legs, causing it to lose its balance.
The doll shook in place, trying to regain her stance, which took her about five seconds.
But by then Alexander had managed to stand up and made a counter-punch using fire magic.
He did as he had done before: he covered his fist with fire, but now he did it at full power.
Tensing his muscles, Alexander clenched his teeth and aggressively siphoned magical energy from the white threads called magical channels.
As if under the influence of magnetism, the magical energy floated toward his right hand.
Flash!
The fire erupted with renewed vigor, and Alexander finally struck.
His fist, at a temperature of 810 degrees Celsius, approached the doll's chest.
She thrust her sword forward, blocking the blow, but the wood could not withstand the temperature of the fire, turning instantly into ash.
The fist flew forward, meeting no obstacles. Finding no other solution, the doll crossed her arms in front of her, meeting the blow.
Boom!
A violent flash of magical energy occurred. Alexander felt his bones crack and were soon shattered.
Regardless, this doll had similar characteristics to a normal D-level practitioner.
Despite this, Alexander also felt the resistance become weaker, so he pushed as hard as he could.
Boom!
There was an explosion and Alexander flew back against the partition wall and coughed up blood.
The explosion caused smoke to form on the platform, making Alexander unable to see the result.
However, quickly enough, he saw a silhouette moving toward him.
Vshhh~
The fans turned on and the smoke was dispersed, revealing the doll.
Alexander was disappointed, but still, the result was not bad.
The doll was missing both arms, and her body was covered with severe burns. She could barely move.
"Stop," Alexander uttered a command, and the training was over.
He closed his eyes and tried to catch his breath. The depletion of his magical energy made him very tired and he felt a piercing pain.
Smiling, Alexander felt two presences appear behind him. And one of them was very familiar to him.
"Alex!"
Victoria ran to him and began to heal him. Although it didn't help much, the pain subsided.
She didn't ask any questions and just struggled to heal the minor injuries. Suddenly a woman appeared behind Victoria's back.
