They arrived at the capital, but not without seeing the damages the storm had caused.
The roofs had been pulled off with force and bricks fell off buildings. People were seen cleaning up the streets and some were leaving for work.
" Wow.... the storm was really serious, too serious"
"Yeah, but how would you know? you were sleeping your tired self up, you didn't even know what was happening"
"Well, it's not like it's my fault, miss Hagginton makes me work myself to midnight so personally I don't care about what's happening"
"miss Hagginton, huh, more like miss hag-of-a-witch I mean why keep working there? everyone treats you like trash anyway"
"Yeah, everyone but Trish you know"

Edna gave him a light slap on his face in an attempt to wipe off his smirk, he rubbed his cheek and laughed.
They got to the hat shop and Edna dropped from the carriage, Trish came out of the shop and went to meet her there, with her hands resting on each side of her waist.
"You're late... again!!!"
" Good morning to you Trish and how's your day?"
"Spare me that Edna, how can you be late again?, you're in big trouble and I don't think I can help you this time!"
"Says the one who calls herself a friend"
" Hey, carriage boy, this is none of your business so stay out of it!"

"Guys stop fighting already okay". "You tell him, poking his nose where it doesn't belongs"

"Ohh a lot, I could teach you if you want that is if you stop being an arrogant girl all the time"

"ENOUGH!!!! Sam go to work, your boss will be expecting you, Trish let's go inside, we have a lot of work to do."

Sam rode off to work as Edna went inside.
The shop is a large building, which was old with brown for colour, there were six pillars holding the building up to the main workshop where hats were made and the office of the owner of the shop, there were also rooms for those who couldn't afford a home, Edna remembered when her father had recently abandoned them in the past, she and her mother lived here for a long time. Most of her childhood had been spent here before they moved to the beach house and a lot of memories were recorded here, she made friends with Trish at this place and those days were good but now things had changed, people had changed, no more cooperation within the people and the government were not helping at all, things had gone from bad to worse by the years but no one talked about it like it was a passing by weather.
"EDNA!!!!!"
Edna turned to the loud, angry calling of her name and saw Miss Hagginton calling her, her grayish white permed hair bounced up and down above her shoulders, her black tailored dress reach below her knees and the clicking of her black moles sounded, she walked towards Edna with pure anger written on her face and stared down at her with an awful frown.
"Where have you been?!! have you forgotten that we have much work today?!!"
"No ma'am"
"Oh really!! so can you please explain why you are late today??!!"
"I, um..I overslept, I returned home really late"
"So because of the little work you were given yesterday, it got you tired and made you oversleep,uhh how pathetic!"
"But ma'am the work wasn't little, making thirty hats in a night isn't easy, besides you gave me the work really late"
"So, what your trying to say is that I am the cause of you going home late right?!!"
"No" Edna replied down casted
"Very good, now get to your working station, we have a lot of work to do" she as she walked in, Edna gave out a loud bored sigh and dragged herself into the shop and as she pasted by, she could see the other girls smirking and snickering at her, she ignored them and went to her station and sat by Trish
"Did she say anything to you?" Trish asked worried.
"No, nothing yet" Edna answered bored as she fixed her threads into the sewing machine.
"But still you have to be careful, that woman is crazy" she whispered as the housesitter passed by them.
"Yeah sure, uhhh hey, the vaccine collection is coming by the end of the month right?"
"Yeah, so"
"Are you collecting yours?"
"Yes, why do you ask?"
"Because no one is trying to avoid it, even you" Edna spoke slightly annoyed.
"sshh!!" Trish silenced her as she looked around to see if eyes were on them, luckily were on them, she then turned to Edna and shook her head at her and said sarcastically
"listen if you don't want to take it, it's your problem not mine" then she continued to sew.
"Fine then I won't"Edna replied and continued to sew too.
"listen," Trish said as she stopped the machine and talked silently, " I don't want you to get into trouble, your my best friend, so please stop saying crazy things about not taking the vaccine or you'll get into trouble
with the government, they're crazy! don't you remember Lucy?"
"Yeah I do"
"So please," Trish said as she started her machine again "don't discuss this again okay?"
"Yeah sure" Edna agreed as she started her machine and sewed.
