Dahlia and Cleo were enjoying their time as BG's while having tonnes of laughter. Then Cleopatra asked, "What is it with you and Oliver?" you seem to like him, and I guess he likes you too!" Dahlia replied, " Oh - no!! Cleo, there's nothing between us. We make a good team, and I agree it can be intimidating at times, but having worked together on many of the projects - but trust me, there is nothing more between us than just friends."
Cleopatra asked, "Is it? then why is he standing back right there waiting for you?" Dahlia turned around to see where he was standing. Oliver was mesmerized by Dahlia's swivelling turn of her wavy hair, wearing a sleek white dress. Dahlia stood when she found that Oliver was waiting too early, and she hadn't finished her time at BGs with Cleopatra. Dahlia walked up to Oliver and said, "I told you; we only will meet after I am, done with my lunch; you are way too early."
Oliver complimented her by saying, " White looks good on you. You should wear it more often!"
Dahlia, "Well, Thank You! Mr Oliver. However, I don't think you are here to compliment me. Why is it so important that it can't even; wait until after lunch?"
Oliver demanded Dahlia finish her lunch soon and meet with the investors for the product launch that; she had been working on for so long. Dahlia instantly hugged Oliver out of ecstasy and asked Oliver, "How did you manage to get that; I tried everything possible to get what they wanted. Seriously you got to tell me, how is that even plausible?"
Oliver was happy to see Dahlia smile and felt like savouring this moment forever in his memory. He said, "It is Catherine - she had her way around the investors as they go way back, and that is what she was here for - she is not your replacement."
Oliver clenched Dahlia's jaw with his hands and told her, "No one can ever replace you. Always remember that! Now, don't you have to get- ready for the investor's meeting?"
Dahlia was happy and smitten at the same time, yet she resisted showing it on her face. Dahlia said, "Let me grab my bag and head home to get ready. I hope you can drop Cleo back to work, as I will appreciate your help." Oliver held Dahlia's hand, smiled and said, "Don't you worry about it. Head home and get ready to win the hearts of those investors. Catherine will directly join at the Enchanted Christmas Avenue. Let me pick you up at 5'o clock. Sounds good?"
Dahlia collected her bag and drove in her red Maserati. Oliver dropped Cleopatra at work, got tied up getting ready at his home and then headed to Dahlia's place. Oliver knocked at Dahlia's door, and there she was - opened the door. Oliver was jaw-dropped by seeing Dahlia in a royal blue dress, with her hair tied up neatly with a sapphire necklace. Oliver bought a bunch of Daffodils for Dahlia. Dahlia welcomed Oliver with a hug and kiss on his cheeks. Dahlia first placed the Daffodils in the flower vase - she loved nature and couldn't let them die. Dahlia locked her door, and both were seated in Oliver's Bugatti Chiron - headed towards the Enchanted Christmas Avenue, where the investor's meet was.
Dahlia nailed the perfect pitch, as directed by Catherine and the rest was history. The night had turned younger when everyone toasted their glasses of champagne to a new partnership for the new product launch. A blissful atmosphere urged one of the investors to ask Oliver about his personal life and if he had anyone special. Oliver blushed by looking towards Dahlia and replied, "Ha ha, wish I could have that special someone, but I don't. However, I do have my eyes on someone." Dahlia avoided and said, "Of course, he has his eyes on the firm, and he wants it to grow; very rapidly around the world." She chuckled.
Once the investor's meeting was over, Oliver dropped Dahlia at her home. Dahlia was removing her seatbelt, but her phone slid through the seat. Oliver tried reaching for her phone, only to lean forward and kiss her good night. Dahlia passed it and refused that she couldn't get involved with him, even if she felt the sparks fly. It was against her code of conduct to go beyond the fine line of professionalism. Dahlia took her phone from Oliver, left his car, and said Goodbye.
Dahlia was watching herself in the mirror, how she looked, how her day had passed. She realized she was happy with Oliver by his side, but she couldn't do it. She couldn't mix profession and personal all at once. It would just make things weirder and awkward for her. She felt the pain and happiness all at once. On the other side, Oliver's heart was heavy, knowing that - he had failed again to convince her that he was the one!
Oliver was not going to give up - he was determined to make Dahlia realize the same.
Next early morning, Dahlia was up and swimming - contemplating all the things that had happened to her in recent days. She even tried climbing up the hill, staring at the bright blue sky, or smelling fresh flowers in the garden, but only one thing that came to her mind - Oliver and his smile - she couldn't get more smitten.
Instead, she distracted herself with a cup of coffee and tried reading the newspaper. Suddenly she heard a notification on her phone - a mail from Mrs Kate requesting to fill out a form that stated which hobby she would like to pursue - for her passion project.
Bella and Jackson also received the mail; the form consisted of 12 odd hobbies - The individual had to select only one of them.
Bella chose reading, Jackson chose baking, and Dahlia chose travelling. The submitted form of the individual was then received, by the board committee, including Oliver. Oliver called in all three potential partners to discuss their passion project before they started working on it.
Dahlia, Bella and Jackson were seated inside the meeting room when Oliver came in and announced the numbers by saying, "20, 400 and 10,000!" and pointed toward Dahlia, Bella and Jackson in the same manner. Bella questioned, "What is that? I didn't quite understand what you just said."
Oliver replied with haste to all of them, "Dahlia, you need to travel 20 countries; Bella, you need to read 400 books, and Jackson, you gotta bake 10,000 batches of whatever it is you like to bake. All within three months. Let us see who will get the maximum customers base out of it. You can create any business out of your passion, with the only condition that one has to meet this target. All of you will get $50,000 to kickstart your passion project. I think I don't need to say any further to you - all understand Business is all about multiplying the money, so good luck to all of you!!"
Dahlia said, "What?? That sounds crazy!" Bella reacted, " 400 - I better watch out for the reading rate!" Jackson, " Ten thousand batches! That's way too much!"
Oliver replied to Jackson, "Watch out - for your passions - buddy!!" he laughed and left the room.
