They were both now standing before the really large door no one was around they looked at each other and many thoughts crossed their minds. Should they run away and try to escape? Should they hide? None of them was possible because there are too many goblins and at the end is still the other big iron door.
"Ok Anna there is only one thing we can do now"
"Oh, you have a plan?"
"Yes we must surrender to whatever is behind the door, and maybe we will come out alive"
"WHAT? What a stupid plan is that Anton?"
"Hey it's the best we can do now goblins are walking around who are much stronger than the 'goblin king' we killed earlier"
>Are you two finished now with your stupid discussion?<
The pressure of the voice bent them both down on their knees and blood was flowing out of their noses. They both didn't dare to say anything, so the voice continued talking.
>If you are then come in<
The door opened slowly and both of them stood up they were still shaking. They both have never before heard such a powerful voice in their lifetime and both fully understood that they are a fly to that being.
They started walking and soon were standing in the middle of an enormous hall and at the end of that hall there was a throne so big like a house and on the throne, a small kid was sitting while emitting a dangerous aura.
The kid had white hair and was wearing a white coat. If they walked nearer to the throne they would surely pass out because of the pressure. Anna encouraged herself and spoke to the kid.
"You are the goblin king am I right"
>Yes you are right don't be fooled by my appearance I am over 1000 years old<
This time there was no pressure in the voice and now Anton managed to take up the courage and ask the Goblin King a question.
"So if we kill you everything will be over, and we can finish the level"
>Haha, what a funny fellow you are speaking about killing me right in front of me<
Anna wanted to punch Anton and apologize to the Goblin king before he put pressure on them again. But that didn't happen instead the Goblin King started talking again.
>You two are the first people to come here in hundreds of years, so I will tell you a secret<
The Goblin King started telling his story in the past he was a player like them, and he to found this forest, and he even managed to kill the Goblin King. But what he didn't know was that he then would become the Goblin King and rule over this forest and be used by the system for eternity unless someone like him gets here and kills him.
He waited 1 year 10 years 100 years 1000 years but no one came, and he lost hope. He couldn't go outside this throne hall the only good thing was the goblins who made his years a little bit easier.
"So if I now were to kill you I would have to stay in this forest forever"
>Yes that's right Anton, but you don't need to do that and neither do I need to kill you<
"Hey you know we can't stay here forever we only have two days left, or we will fail the first level"
>You don't have to worry about that Anna I don't plan on keeping you here I would just like it if you two would become my disciplines for a day and as a reward, I will give you a map to the middle. If you follow this map it will only take you 12 hours to get there from here<
"What's the trick behind that what use do you get from that"
>You're very clever Anton there is also a second condition for me and all the goblins to leave that is if a discipline of mine gets first place in the level<
"That isn't possible someone already arrived in the middle"
>Oh, I am not talking about the first part I am talking about the second part of the first level
So what do you think?<
Anton and Anna began whispering about that before answering. It was Anna who answered.
"Is one day even enough to become your discipline?"
>Yes it is normally but here in this hall time is flowing four times slower than the normal time this is to stop the ageing of me after all I once was a human and I can't live forever<
Now it was Anton who answered for them.
"We will love to be your discipline"
And like that both of them became disciplines of the Goblin King. The first-day training was just muscle training when they were exhausted the goblin king gave them regeneration potions of the epic grade the ones that Anna had before were common.
But still, they were both pretty exhausted. After they finished with the tasks given by the Goblin King Anton and Anna could finally rest for a bit.
>You can both now go to sleep I will wake you up when we need to start training again<
"Ok, but don't you need to sleep too?"
>No I have so many mythic power reserves I don't need to sleep<
"Ah, Goblin King I was curious about that what are these mythic powers?"
>Didn't you get it explained by your sponsors Anton?<
"No I never really talked to my sponsor I don't even know his real name"
"What Anton? You never talked to your sponsor so how did you even get your skills?"
"I learned them myself, I just copied what my friends did but isn't that how everyone gets their skills?"
>HMH Anton there are only a few players who could learn skills without the help of their sponsors because in the beginning stages you don't have many mythic powers, so most players need their sponsor's help<
Anton grinned and looked at Anna she knew what this smiling meant 'You see I am not so dumb am I'. The Goblin King said that he will explain mythic powers tomorrow and that they should go to sleep.
Nevertheless, they didn't trust the goblin king 100%, and so they agreed that one would sleep while the other stays awake and that they change whenever the other feels tired. Spoiler alert it didn't work and Anton who was the first to stay awake fell asleep soon after Anna.

"UAH what was that"
Anna screamed as the water was all over her face it was the Goblin King who did that when Anna looked at him, she saw that he was smiling. Anton woke up too but because of a different reason.
"Hey Anna could you be quiet please I want to sleep more"
>No, no more sleeping Anton it is time to train again<
Now Anton saw the smiling Goblin King and a shiver was running down his neck the Goblin King who yesterday looked bored and sad now looked happy. Not only Anton but Anna too noticed this change they both had troubled expressions.
>Hey you two don't need to make such expressions training today will be fun<
"Ah you wanted to explain mythic powers today isn't that right?"
>Yes Anton, but first I want to see what skills you both have so come and attack me<
Anton and Anna looked confused they should attack him? Was this a trap would he fight back? Questions like this were flowing in their heads and Anna was the first to speak up.
"Is it really alright I mean you won't fight back will you?"
>Oh, you don't need to worry about that just show me what you can do I don't even know if you can hurt me so just do it<
This sentence made both of them a little angry, and it encouraged both of them, and they started running at him both of them were using wind jumps the only difference was that Anton was faster, and so he was the first to hit the Goblin King with his fire sword.
But the Goblin King's body didn't move and the one screaming was Anton he had broken his hand and so it was now Anna's turn she engulfed her sword in ice and aimed for the neck of the Goblin King, but again there was no wound and with a sound like something broke apart here sword was lying in pieces on the ground.
They both couldn't believe their most powerful attacks weren't working on him, but they didn't give up for about an hour after an hour of attacks they both fell to the ground they were too exhausted they looked at the Goblin King standing still in the middle of the hall without even a scratch on his body.
>You two did great it is no surprise that you can't hurt me, but I can feel that your attacks are powerful for your level, so I will now explain what mythic powers are and how you use them<
Anna asked him what he meant by how you use them, but the Goblin King just told her to wait.
>So first off mythic powers are the fuel for firstly your attacks, whenever you use your elements attributes or skills a percentage of mythic powers will be used. So for example Anton when you use Fire Pistol every shot you fire you use 1% of your mythic powers but if you made the flame bigger you would use maybe 5% in your current state<
"So I use more when I make my Fire sword?"
>Yes that's right you use about 10% of your powers but the stronger you get, the bigger your mythic powers reserves will become, and you don't even need 1% for the fire sword. Secondly, they are the fuel for your body the more you have, the more you can let flow through your body and the sturdier your body will become because of that you two couldn't hurt me<
"Ok, and how do we make our reserves bigger?"
>That's a good question Anna there are two methods the first is to cultivate which means you search in your body for where they are stored, and you let them flow through your body. The second method is you use these Mythic power stones you get for clearing a quest or level to use them you need to hold them in your hands and absorb the power<
"Ok and so which method is better Goblin King?"
>That's hard to say Anna but when your reserves aren't so great I would cultivate first and then right after use the stones<
"Ok, then can we start now?"
>Anton you need to relax a bit more you just used all your mythic powers you can't cultivate now<
"Ok and what about using the stones?"
>You can't use them either the best thing is to sleep again and cultivate the whole day tomorrow<
Anton and Anna went to sleep again on the hard stone ground this time they didn't have a plan to stay awake so both of them fell asleep instantly.
In the morning the Goblin King woke them up again and after that, they started to cultivate it was harder than to concentrate on the fire back then in his garden, but Anton managed to do it a lot faster than Anna who had never concentrated on her elements.
After they cultivated they both took out a mythic power stone and absorbed it which was pretty easy, and then they went back to cultivate. They had to repeat this process the whole day.
>Ok that's enough kids you have made brilliant progress both of you, but now you need to rest for tomorrow<
The Goblin King was right they needed to reserve their strengths in order to go to the middle and complete the first level.
So they went to sleep and woke up the next day only to realize that they weren't in the cave anymore nor the forest, they were outside the forest, lying in the sand dunes it was night. They looked around and at each other and both saw the mark on the other one's left hand.
"Hey Anton there is a red mark on your hand"
"It's the same with you Anna"
"What? Shit I knew that there was something odd about that Goblin King and why did he have to throw us out like this"
"Maybe that is a mark that shows we are his disciplines you know we made a deal with him didn't we"
"Hmm yes, but hopefully it goes away when we are done I don't want such a mark on my body"
Anton could only nod to her and then the both of them found the map in their pockets it was the map to the middle they both realized they had still a level to finish and hurriedly looked at the sky the timer said they still had 20 hours left.
They both calmed down because with the map they only needed 12 hours.
"Ok Anna lets go we can't dawdle anymore"
"Yep I want to get my rewards to let's see whose faster"
They both started running and activated Wind jumps with the skill they accelerated to about 60km and followed the map. While running they saw corpses of monsters and of players there were Orcs, big snakes and lions compared to the Goblin King these monsters were just flies.
Anton looked around the corpses to see if he knows anyone but to his luck, both Ben and Luca weren't there. Anton and Anna were now running for about 7 hours, and they were out of breath and decided to take a pause.
"Hey Anton I think we should recover for a little bit"
"Yes ok that's a good idea but where all I see is sand and nothing else"
"Yeah I too let's just sit in the sand and use the stones we have left to get our stamina back up"
"Anna we don't need stones we need water I haven't drunk anything since yesterday and the Goblin king didn't give us any water, so I feel like shit"
"Anton, have you forgotten? I have the ice element, and you fire we can make water you know"
"Huh? Oh, yes your right why didn't you just say so"
Anton and Anna filled their mythic powers back up with the stones and then began making water. They found a stone that is curved as a bowl and Anna filled it with ice and Anton took the bowl in his hand and engulfed his hands in the fire.
In ten seconds the ice was melted in water, and they could hydrate themselves. After they recovered they started to run again.
Not long after they saw a city on the horizon, the sun was starting to rise above it, even though they had 9 hours left they still started running quicker than before and after four more hours they arrived before the city and the sun was now standing in the middle of the sky.
A large wall was around the city and before them was an iron door.
"Hey, do you think this is the middle?"
"I mean it would only make sense don't you think"
"But you know the people here are weird why do they always have these iron doors it is not like a war is going on"
"Oh Anton you are the only one who would think that way"
"Hey I am just saying"
While they were joking around a group of six people were running toward them there were for boys and two girls. They all had exhausted faces, but there was one face Anton recognized it was a boy with red hair and if Anton recalled right his name was Tim the one who punched him in the white room. The group came to a stop and spoke to Anton and Anna.
"Hey did you also just get here?"
A girl asked them and Anna answered her.
"Yes, we did do you by chance know how we get in?"
The girl wanted to answer, but the boy named Tim answered first.
"Huh, so you survived what a pity" He looked at Anton while saying that and then turned to Anna and asked her.
"Hey, don't you want to come with us?"
"Why should I just answer my question"
The boy was stunned for a second, and then he made a mischievous face.
"Do you know what your friend here did I mean if you'd know you /" The boy couldn't finish his sentence!
"Yes I know what he did I mean I saw it too, but I have no problem with that after all it wasn't his fault, to begin with"
Anton was touched by Anna who protected him now that he thought about it, he and Anna spend some time together could it be that she liked him? No, no way Anton don't get your hopes up he thought.
The boy was now confused how could this girl defend that monster behind her? Did he use a mind manipulation skill on her? Yes, it must be like that.
"Hey, you boy what is your name?"
"Huh, why should I tell you?"
"Hey listen boy, or I am going to punch you again like in the white room"
"Hah just try it, you idiot"
Before Tim could do anything the door behind them opened and a strong older man with a white beard came out and said.
"Hey you cheeky brats what are you standing here for come in there isn't much time left"
And so they stopped but before parting ways, Tim yelled at Anton.
"Hey I would be cautious if I were you because I will beat you to a pulp in the second part of the level just you wait"
"Yeah yeah whatever"
