"HEY!!"
He took another step ahead.
"LISTEN!"
He heard someone's voice but then he brushed it off, thinking it must be his imagination; because he knew no one would come here at this time of day, in such a cold winter season.
"LISTEN YOU- ugh!"
As he was moving forward, he could hear the splashing of water. As if someone was walking through the water, slowly coming nearer to him.
"Hey you!"
He stopped.
Now he could clearly hear the voice as the person was standing very close to him.
He turned around to see the owner of the voice.
A girl wearing round framed glasses, casual clothes, with a sling bag on her shoulder was standing in front of him .
"What's wrong with you huh?" she asked.
Reo raised an eyebrow in confusion.
"I called you so many times and because of you I had to step into the water."
Reo looked down and realized his feet were really in the water. He was taken back for a while as He couldn't remember when he came this far.
"You should never ignore anyone like this."
Brushing off his thoughts Reo looked at her.
"What do you want?" He asked.
"Oh! um..actually..um.. Can you please help me find this address?"
He looked at her in disbelief.
"Did you really stop me, to ask the address?"
"Yea..I mean you can enjoy your swimming time afterwards."
"What the- I can't even die peacefully." He mumbled under his breath.
"What did you just say? 'Die'?"
"N-not actually"
"You mean Suicide?!!"
"Listen-"
"No! You can't kill yourself."
"What the hell-"
Before he could say anything, she took out her phone.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm calling the helpline."
"Wait WHAT?!"
He snatched her phone from her hand.
"Hey! Give it back to me."
"Why are you interfering in my life?" He asked in annoyance.
"I'm saving your life."
"No one asked for your help."
"Listen carefully. Killing yourself is not a solution to any problem." She was trying to calm him with words.
"Shut up. You don't even know what I am going through in my life. So just leave." A slight anger was in his voice. As if he was letting out everything which he was trying to hold on.
"But-"
Suddenly her phone started to ring.
"My phone! Give it to me."
"But I don't believe you"
"What? You- You can't do this."
He took a glance at the caller ID.
"Vinny? Who is she?"
"It's none of your business."
"I am turning on the speaker mode. Talk to her."
"You should not interfere in someone else's matter."
"Few moments ago you did the same."
"What the hell-"
He answered the call.
"What took you so long to pick up a call?" Said the voice through the phone.
"V-Vinny..um..sorry I was busy."
She said while glaring at Reo.
"Anyway, the reason why I called you.." Vinny continued "Your story.."
"Did they select-"
"Actually..the boss said he liked the story, but it could have been more interesting. It was really simple i mean..it's-"
"It's a no.."
Reo could see the disappointment on her face.
"Hey don't be disheartened, your story is amazing! It's just my boss can't see the true talent. I'm sure he is gonna regret this."
"It's okay Vinny, now I'm used to these rejections..At least you supported me. Thank you!"
She noticed that Reo had loosen his grip on the phone. Taking the chance she snatched her phone away from his hand.
"I'll call you later.."
Hanging up the call she then placed the phone in her jeans pocket.
"And you..please don't do this."
She said while looking straight into his eyes and continued,
"You are right, it's your life and I'm no one to interfere in your matter. But..Just once, try to give yourself a chance. Just once.."
"What's the name of that place?" He asked in a low voice.
"Huh!?"
"You were asking for the address so I'm helping you."
"Oh..um- It's.. 'The Dream' Production."
Reo left a sigh after hearing the company's name.
