Chapter 80 - Path Of Body

The group of students could sense something beneath Noah's strike. They could sense the cold anger hidden beneath his apathetic gaze. The same anger that guided his sword strikes, always cutting at the tendons of his enemies, leaving them incapacitated and bleeding but very much alive and in pain. A state that would last about 5 more minutes. 5 minutes that would feel like an eternity to the victims.

Emery's eyes narrowed realizing that Noah could have definitely defeated him during the Soaring Star Entrance Exam if he wanted to. He was lucky that the silver haired teenager seemed to prefer fighting in his normal state. In truth, the transmigrator had just used Limit Breaker then and would probably collapse if he had dared to do it again.

Meanwhile, Elaine and Leonel seemed to understand something from Noah's actions, a hint at the type of event in his past that had forged his current personality.

Azure Dragon Art: Whirlwind!

This time the transmigrator chose to decimate the bandits with the numerous Blood Essence slashes that left his sword, murdering about 30 at the time. Even the bandits behind them paused, fear creeping into their expressions as they witnessed the massacre before them.

The scene was truly scary, an Intermediate Stage Battlesoul master massacring multiple Battlesoul masters at the peak Intermediate and some being at the Adept Stage as well!

But of course Noah would not allow them to be passive, he only had a limited amount of time in this form. He stretched out and grasped the air with his hand, circulating his Essence and executing Pull. The frightened bandits could only be dragged forward by the unknown force and meet with the deadly edge of Noah's edge, reducing their numbers even more.

He glanced back, ignoring the blood that dripped down the blade of his longsword, and looked at his schoolmates. "Are you guys going to help or not?"

His words snapped them out of their thoughts and made them grasp at their weapons, charging forward with their respective movement type Battle arts.

Elaine was the first to act, knowing that her Battlesoul was geared for events like this. The golden scale appeared behind her in its great splendor and she didn't hesitate to activate her first Soul skill, Holy Light's Judgment. Immediately, all the bandits within a 500 meter radius of her felt their strength leave their body and add to her power.

With her enhanced strength, she dashed forward, her rapier in hand as she dove into the swarm of enemies. She had now reached the peak of the 9th Level of the Intermediate Stage and with the boost from the power gained from her enemies, she could be considered to be at the Pseudo Adept Stage. So her ability to wreak havoc on the battlefield could not be underestimated. And those who had chosen to take her on instead of Noah swiftly regretted their decisions when they found that they could do nothing to her despite their numerical advantage.

But unlike Noah, she only seemed to leave her attackers unconscious and didn't seem keen on killing them. The rest of the students acted the same, holding their own against the bandits and leaving their opponents knocked out. Only Emery seemed to have no qualms ending the lives of his opponents in a quick way.

The transmigrator saw this and narrowed his eyes. He jumped and punched the empty air multiple times, sending air compressed cannons that shredded the insides of the defenseless and unconscious bandits, killing them before they could even utter a word. "You all shouldn't be stupid enough to think of simply knocking them out. They're aiming for your life and remember, the task is to eliminate, not capture."

"He's right." A sudden powerful voice resounded, causing the 8 of them to focus on the newcomer. He was a savage looking man with dark hair, crimson red eyes and a scar that ran across his chin to compliment his brutal appearance. The man appeared to be rather burly and he stood at a tall 1.9 meter height, only slightly shorter than Noah in his Omnipotent Body form. And the 5th Level Adept Stage aura that he emitted announced his powerful battle strength and leadership of the bandit group, only someone as powerful as him could hold such a large group together for so long. "Holding back in this fight can really get you killed y'know."

Noah's icy silver eyes stared at the new opponent for only 3 seconds before dashing forward with incredible speed. "Leonel, Emery, Argos, we'll take him. Everybody else should focus on the other bandits."

"Haha! Give me a fight worth remembering, kiddos! Let's see what you guys have against me, Lucas the Great!" The bandit leader smirked and smacked his palms together releasing a scorching heat onto his surrounding that scared even his fellow subordinates.

The transmigrator said nothing and teleported forward, his new range reaching 50 meters. Lucas smiled viciously, his flames converging on his fist and meeting Noah's sword strike only for the latter's attack to dissipate like smoke.

Slight confusion filled him before pain replaced that feeling as a wide gash appeared on his back, allowing blood to spill. But that pain didn't last long before he laughed and twisted his body, punching the air behind him and unleashing a powerful wave of fire that scorched the air.

But he frowned knowing that his attack had met nothing. It was then he noticed that there were three Noahs maneuvering in the air around him, not once touching the ground. A slash met with his arm, causing him to swipe at his side, throwing flames into the air as he did. Yet he met nothing but air once more and the next second, he could feel Noah's real presence behind, slicing multiple times at the bandit leader.

This time Lucas chose to bear with the pain and erupted with flames, attacking the transmigrator who had been delayed due to his Martial art execution. The latter was quick to defend himself against such a deadly attack, executing the true Dragon Guard and summoning a draconic phantom that coated his body and protected him from the scorching flames.

But his attempts at delaying Lucas had been successful, allowing his teammates to arrive with their respective attacks.

Emery was the first to attack, disappearing into the shadows and appearing directly before Lucas, casting his Quick Draw and catching the bandit leader off guard to allow his short swords dig deep into the latter's flesh.

Argos appeared a second later, smashing into Lucas, sending him flying and causing mouthfuls of blood to leave his lips. But they weren't done. Leonel appeared above the bandit leader and smashed into him with his Falling Star, crashing them both into the ground and creating a large crater due to the force behind his attack.

The four reappeared a few meters away from the crater brandishing their weapons, knowing that their attacks weren't enough to thoroughly kill their enemy. But they all widened their eyes in surprise as they watched him walk out of the crater chuckling evilly.

They weren't surprised at his enthusiastic and battle hungry expression, but were instead surprised by his right arm.

It seemed to have been replaced with flames, with multiple wisps of fire kissing the air surrounding the arm. Even his injuries seemed to be healing due to a warm orange energy that washed over the gashes all over his body.

The 4 knew the implications of what was before them.

Lucas, the leader of the bandit group they were tasked to eliminate, had somehow began to embark the Path of Body before even reaching the peak Adept Stage!
